I have a M5 dual, Recently when I Want to make phone calls, It takes about 30secs to make the call (the ongoing calling screen appear with just hangout icon, all icons that related for calling like mute or dialpad appear after call established,30 seconds, but the phone didn't crash or freeze, I can hangout the call),when I switched phone to safe mode it didn't have the problem and make the call almost instantly, I'm also using 1 simcard
My phone have stock Rom (6.0)

You can try download and install another phone app from Play store and tell us how is it.
Just to confirm.
P.s. What about another sim slot 2?

I think all phone apps just change dialer and contacts but not the calling app, is there any app that changes the calling screen? I mean it doesn't use the stock calling application (not just dialer or contacts)
I didn't try sim slot 2 yet

Reset app preferences! Any fixes for these issues?? Have cleared cache partition,. got 2 new sim cards to no avail. Randomly mine n my husbands phones go straight to vm without ringing or showing missed calls!! Same for my son in another state. Cust svc is no help. Have cleared app preferences multi times. Anyone else with these issues?! Any help appreciated.
I had that on mine when I was running 4.3, but only with wifi calling. first random incoming calls, then all incoming calls would go straight into voice mail and then I couldn't even call out on wifi. Temporary solution was to change preferences to cellular calling from wifi calling. Then I updated to 4.4.2 (nf4) and its fixed now and it works fine with wifi calling and all. I suspected t-mo made some changes in their server software and either accidently or on purpose never tested properly with older firmware, introducing some bug, but feel free to call it wrong guess. The reason I suspected problem was on their side, was that I have not updated or changed my phone at all, since before problem started and installed probably only 1 new program, which later I deleted it as first suspect, but deleting it didn't fix the problem at all.
Did you ever install google voice? I was having similar problems because I had installed google voice, then removed it, thinking everything would be fine. It turns out you need to change something on your Google account also. There was a previous thread about google voice.
No google voice in my case. The program I installed I think it's called Wechat for text, voice and video calls over internet. I deleted it after my family came back from overseas vacation since no longer needed, but that didn't fix wifi calling until firmware update. Could have been some settings got messed up and weren't restored until update.

I reflashed firmware from SamMobile. Appears to be working better. Difficult to tell 100% yet. Appears the app prefernce requests are no longer an issue.
I don't know when it it started, but my contacts just won't open, and even my dialer is difficult to open unless it is on the actual dial pad when closed last (if it's on logs, favorites, or contacts it also force closes whenever I try opening it). I was using Ready Contacts for a while, but I don't like it so I went back to my TouchWiz contacts and dialer to find they are all jacked up. I've tried clearing cache, manually force closing it, and clearing data, but nothing works.
Anyone know what would cause contacts to refuse to open? I'm on 4.4.2 NF9 rooted but otherwise stock.
Thanks.
I have exactly the same issue, any help would be appreciated

I just upgraded on the weekend. I did not have problems with contacts but had problems with Google services using to much battery.
I had to factory reset. You don't lose root, you will have to download it again.
Using Titanium back and restore data was problematic with apps like 3C Tool box that alter performance or permissions on your phone. I cleared my data for 3C and some force closes went away.
I was getting reboots when scrolling through some apps. Reinstalling 3C and resetting the data got rid of problems.
It is new firmware and sometimes it is better to reinstall apps than restoring them from backup.
I don't know if any of this will help. Just some thoughts from my experience.

Using xposed? First thought was the mod for showing a call icon in contacts list... if you are in a VoLTE area (and have it on) it FCs due to pointing to a non-existant image. Not sure it's the issue but figured I'd share.

That's probably exactly it, since it's intermittent, and seems to have started around the time I installed Wacom. I've disabled it and will see if the problem goes away. Thanks!
I am at my wits end with this glitch. I just got the Galaxy s6 last Friday and within a few days I got a voicemail notification that will not go away. I have tried many many things:
- clearing the cache under application manager (It will go away for a couple of hours or if I restart the phone)
- updating the PRL
- updating the profile
- calling my voicemail from another phone, leaving a message, deleting the message, and waiting for it to clear (it doesnt clear)
- Installing google voice, letting google voice take over my voicemail, and uninstalling it
- getting the entire phone replaced (yes, believe it or not, the issue still shows up on an entirely different phone)
So I am not sure what else to do if anyone has any ideas I am more than open. I have a Galaxy s6 on 5.1.1 with Sprint network.
Thank you in advance.

I assume that you saw a Sprint technical consultant that is swapping/swapped your device... Well he should not have.
This is an actual known issue that is being investigated by both Samsung and Sprint device engineers. The issue is due to the 5.1.1 update.
This was posted by one of our device engineers that specifically work with Samsung devices on the Sprint network:
1) Put the device into ‘CDMA’ mode by going to Settings/Mobile Networks/Network Mode. Device will power-cycle.
2) If upon powering back up the notification doesn’t disappear within 1 minute, please instruct the user to toggle airplane mode. Within 1 minute of disabling airplane mode, the MWI will disappear from the device.
3) Once the MWI is removed from the device, please instruct user to put device back into ‘Automatic’ mode found under Settings/Mobile Networks/Network Mode.
I have not tried this work around as of yet to see if it works, seeing as I personally have not seen this issue very often. Replies to the above work around were mixed, saying it worked and it did not. Personally, I would not set the device back to Automatic, but CDMA/LTE.
I have tried this a few times and sadly it does not fix my issue

Google Account Manager
Google Play Services
Google Framework

I just did this. No change. It still pops up on restart or accessing my voicemail.

The Google services have nothing to do with the notification. Scroll down in applications, until you see the (3) Phone apps. It is usually the third phone app. Press the Clear Data button. This will remove the voicemail icon, but upon reboot it will return. I've chatted with Sprint about it, who referred me to Samsung Support. Samsung did a remote session into my phone, and did this same thing, but unfortunately it doesnt fix the issue. According to the Sprint forums, Sprint and Samsung are both looking into the bug. Replacing your phone, or doing a complete reset will not work either. All S6 are affected on Sprint network.
Anyone having issues where the phone app won't show incoming calls unless you manually open the app? When I open the app during an incoming call, it brings up the menu as if the phone is already on a call.
Completely stock and locked bootloader.

I had this same issue when my Z2 Force was new. It would not show incoming calls without manually tapping on the icon and then I would receive the menu like the call was in progress.
This is what I did:
Go to Phone App Info and go to Storage and clear cache and clear data.
Force stop the app and then select disable.
Reboot like normal and go to the Play Store and download another dialer app like TrueCaller or another comparable app.
Set it up and make a call and have someone call you back.
Next, I enabled the stock dialer app and set it as default. Then I deleted the TrueCaller app and rebooted and it was back to normal and I haven't had any problem since and it's been 2 months at least.
Hope this helps. Good luck.

Hello guys, I am considering to buy Red Magic 6 Pro and was wondering if it comes default with Google Phone (Dialer)? I really enjoy Google Dialer in my current phone as it can block spam automatically and has nearby places etc.
Nope comes with their dialer. I downloaded Googler Dialer and it wouldn't ring for me anymore. I had to delete it to get the phone to ring again.
@veedubsky have you tried setting google dialer as default? or vice versa? by vice versa I mean keep the stock dialer as default, because sometimes setting Google dialer default also breaks things. you could also install Google dialer framework from Magisk modules if you are rooted.
I've had the same issue with the RM5G since launch.
The Google Dialer on my 5G uses/sees notification sounds only instead of ringtones when you access its notification settings. It also defaults to silent. Contact ringtone settings also have no effect. I've tried multiple versions of the Google Dialer (on multiple stock ROM versions) without success - forced back to using the stock Dialer, unfortunately.
I'm inclined to think it's a ROM issue in terms of how ringtones/notification sounds are configured/defined.

Yup tried setting as default and then clearing default and leaving it alone. Either way the Google dialer wouldn't not produce a ringtone alert. I get the answer screen but no sound or vibe. Deleted it and stuck with the stock dialer.
How to get Google Phone/ Dialer to Work as default (Incoming Calls Ring).
Step 1: Go into settings and disabled volte in calls.
2: Download/ Install Google Phone

So it is not possible to keep Volte enabled? Does it not ring when google dialer is made default? Could you please check if automatic spam blocking and nearby places work?

Doesn't work on my RM5G. I didn't use the .apk you linked and downloaded the latest version from the Play Store instead.
VOLTE on/off made no difference.
I hoped that disabling the stock contacts app would solve the issue (since it's an integrated Dialer/Contacts), but it made no difference. Calls ARE received/displayed using the Google Dialer, but no ringtone is played/heard.
Investigating further, I noticed we have a ”Call Management" app that can't be disabled and may be the culprit.

you need to use the apks which I posted...updated apks will not work.
I am using T-Mobile and i cannot turn off VoLTE. They forced everyone on their network to use VoTLE. earlier this year. They will do the same on ATT early next year when they remove 3G network. I wish there was another way to fix this. I hate this Dialer on my RM6 Pro.
Anyone else having issues where you cant hear the other person when answering calls? I have to change to speaker for a second and then back to handset just to hear them.
Does anyone know of any dialer that works with the RM6? I tried many and they all have the same issues you guys are talking about. It wont ring on incoming calls. I can receive but wont hear the ringing on the phone.
