Google+ will not play videos posted in any communities. click on the video and get "cannot play video" I'm on the latest Oxygen OS, latest version of Google+, even uninstalled and reinstalled google+ plus in an attempt to fix my issue.
I've searched and it looks like others are having the issue and we're able to solve it by uninstalling all Google plus updated in app settings. If I go to app manager/Google+ app, there is no option to uninstall updates.
Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

The browser and youtube apps both are both clear on the defaults and BaconReader actually lets me pick my intent, but no matter what I do I can't get Youtube links to play in the app instead of the browser.
I have reset data on both Youtube and the Browser.
Uninstalled Youtube and tried the factory installed Youtube.
Removed /system/app/YouTube.apk and installed the version from the market
Moved the latest market into /system/app/
I have plugged my phone into the computer and looked at logcat, what I'm seeing is that youtube is called but I get an error "invalid intercepted URI".
Has this happened to anyone else?

Well apparently it's only BaconReader, the browser was sending me to m.youtube.com which I guess isn't read by the Youtube handler. I found a vanilla link to a youtube video and it worked fine. Guess I'll be writing a developer.

I am very much loving my phone and together with the Nexus 7 it's nice to have some variety between Sense and pure google. The problem I have with the One x is that whenever I try to open up you tube links say from Facebook or Google +, it opens up the video on a browser and not on the YouTube app. Is that standard behavior? It's also affecting how some apps behave like Sc2casts to watch starcraft matches, where opening a video link results in my phone downloading an swf file instead of launching YouTube. Has anyone of you experienced this problem? Would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Go to settings-apps-all apps- internet and click on clear default. Then try opening any YouTube link, it will be fine

i have a problem with facebook messenger. when someone sends me a youtube or dailymotion link and it appears as "someone share a movie" with the title and small image of this movie below (without any url) it's opening via browser but incorrectly. browser starts downloading mysterious file that couldn't be open with any of video players that i have (as stock as mxplayer). BUT when someone sends a direct url link everything is fine, it opens with youtube app and browser as well. what's going on? can you help me? it's pretty annoying, so beer for my saviour!

You may need to download a clear default manager app.
Or clear it manually.
It seems you have set an app as default which is opening your video links.

unfortunately it doesn't work. facebook and facebook messenger both have some issues with sharing a video (links or direct movies). on facebook app when i try to play any video uploaded directly on facebook, the mysterious file start downloading. my mate have the same problem on his note 2.

What is causing this. I've disabled the hw overlay in the developer options. That didn't work. I've tried uninstalling the app. Still didn't work... Not sure... Any ideas?
Have you tried uninstalling the App, and re-installing ?
