I took a Photo but some parts of it aren't straight
There is a kind of distortion, like a wave on the Photo
I don't ever see it before, it's an hardware problem or a software problem?
There isn't always, only sometimes outside and only when i move the Op3 up or down For take a shot
I think that is due to stabilization
Have you ever see it?

Can't. Use a third camera party app like cinema 4k, but that's for video only.
Not sure about camera.

Had this happen to my camera last week on vacation, then the autofocus stopped working.
Now nothing is in focus at all , whether an AF mode or manual mode.
Just requested an RMA for repair...

That is probably your version of my dual camera mode. Simultaneous picture taking using both cameras. Out places a picture of the taker on the picture taken.

No dual camera mode is under Mode(Modo)
Just looked at my camera, and the location where that option is, on my D850 is the grid option
Also OP - why is your camera setting W2M? lowest I get is 3M and my Wide(w is 10M)
that is when you are using the front facing camera to take a selfie. it selects whether the picture is a normal camera shot or flipped like a mirror image.
when the 13mp camera is active that icon place shows the grid.

Good thread.
So which one is the default / common / better option to use with mirroring or not? And which one means mirroring, opposite facing heads?
Not to hijack this, but what's the slide on the bottom do when in front facing camera mode?

The slider softens the image for more "beautiful" face on the selfies...
BTW this is the front facing camera, and not the main one...

No way to figure that out without knowing. Is that in the "manual" somewhere?

Just test it, try first with the slider all the way to the left, and then to the right...
You will notice the difference immediatly...

Video recorded and played with MPC or VLC in Windows 10 is showed face down. Some articles talks about the issue of the camera position, but I don't know that the file stored contains the video rotated.

Yes, with the Google Camera App that comes with the Phone. The record was in UHD quality, I don't test it with 1080p but I think that the result will be the same.
known issue for a while now..
Pure stupidity on google/LGs part. they placed the camera image sensor against the android specs recommendation.
Now the software must be updated to fix it.
This impacts many apps (eg: bank apps which scan check images, bar-code scanners, qr code readers.. etc)........
The IRONY is .. most of the third party apps have now been updated and they fix this issue. However, GOOGLE.... hasn't yet fixed the native camera app. they are busy preaching developers of other apps to fix the problem.. Crazy, but true. Sucks.
I'm having the same problem videos looks fine played ba"k on phone & when copied to Pc & playednon Windows media player & latest vlc, older vlc & video editing software show the true orientation, upside down & copy to a flash drive & plug into tv & also upside-down. I have checked the video meta data & the rotation is 180 so that software can rotate to display correct way up.
I guess most users won't be aware of this fault as they just playback on there phones..
Does anyone know if Google is working on a fix.
This is a massive fault as you cannot change the orientation afterwards so all my 4k Christmas videos can never be transferred to a USB stick & played on 4k tv.
To stop nexus 5x recording upside-down videos you Have to hold the phone left handed then videos are correct way up.
Hope Google fix this as most people are right handed, anyway you should be able to hold the phone anyway you want.
Hi Everyone,
I have a Redmi Note 8 since just 3 days, i have noticed that the stabilizer not working during recording a video.
Anyone has the same problem?
How can i fix this problem?

Restart your phone.
If that does not work, try clearing data of camera app in Settings > Manage apps > Camera > Clear data > Clear all data
or try Google Camera.

Hi jc9896,
I have already tried to clear all data of the camera app but the problem not resolved.
I have tried Google Camera and the stabilizer working better with 60fps :good:
I hope that the next update bring 60fps support for the stock camera app.
Thank you jc9896 for your help :good:

odd issue with the camera, my stabilization working fine. maybe try recording a video with and without it enabled and see the difference, perhaps the stabilization is too minimal to be noticed.
60fps support in the stock camera app is also something I want
Maybe my phone has a hardware defect ???
Anyone has the same problem?

both of you try this:
In build.prop add the following line
Code:
persist.vendor.camera.eis.enabled=1
of course to edit build.prop you need root and to root you need to unock bootloader.
They forgot to mention but the redmi note 8 supports video stabilisation only in 1080p in 30 fps. If you want to stabilise other quality footage, you will have to use a third party application.
Dear Devs,
Please port memc feature for custom roms, people like me who are used to that feature can get out of that smooth addiction so as miui for that sole reason. Although it is very good feature to have in our beloved custom roms. More power to our Alioth Devs
Hi,
what function is the one you are requesting? What is it for?
There is a video player with MEMC app.
SVP Player, it works well

Frame interpolation that smoothens video like it converts 24 fps video into 48 if the feature in on in video tool box

Yeah it rely on gpu but the device has seperate chip for memc, svp is generic for all devices, so that'll be the difference

I downloaded some third party camera apps so I could use pro mode and select the ISO and shutter speed. Unfortunately the max shutter speed is 8 seconds, why is that?
Is there any way to unlock longer shutter speeds? In my previous device I was able to set up to 32 seconds.
This issue is on astrocam, open camera and procam x. My device is also rooted.
I have pro cam X and was able to change it but I hadn't opened the app so had to give it the permissions

Yes I have given it all the permissions but the maximum shutter speed I can select is 8.3 seconds.
Could you post a screenshot of yours?

You're adjusting the wrong parameter, it's the "S" that is the problem. You have it at 0.5s try changing that to a higher value.
I did check the s I swiped it all the way to the far left and right

Sorry mate please take another screenshot after swiping the selector all the way to the right. In mine you can see the max is 8 seconds.
Also I really appreciate you trying to help me out.
