Hello all developers.
As all Lg Korean version phones come with a built-in call recoding option where during call if you want to record any call from both ends then you just press the record button.
Can anyone port that built-in app for other variants? I have always preferred Koreon version and this is one of the reasons.
I hope one of you can do it for sure.

Do they ?!
I use an app called ACR on my G4 and it works brilliantly. It's free app and there is also a paid version which gives you even more options. Though the free app is more than good enough anyway..
I hope that helped.
I have H818N and running Lollipop 5.1 and have the recording option in dialer, they have removed it in Marshmellow

What I want is to record all the conversation of phone call in & call out.
This has been discused here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=865220&page=4
and here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=994570
Official ROMs all around the world doesn't have 2way record support, Only chinese unicom roms HAD call record from line support with a nice button in dialer to record the calls you want. Someone figured out and extracted some libs and made a patch (only record support) its available in the above link, it works with any official rom and its integrated into barebones and pays rom.
Barebones Rom 1.5.1 includes the chinese libraries + Chinese Dialer with record button, to record directly from the line.
Pays rom includes the chinese libraries but no record button in dialer, you have to download any call recorder from market.
If you dont intend to use barebones or Pays or China rom, you have to install that patch or you wont be able to record anything no matter what call recorder you use, noone will work.

If your rooted then use Xposed Framework
Created for 4.1.2 for TW based Odexed/Deodexed

I would have used any call recorder there is, IF it was able to record both sides when using a BT headset.
Unfortunately, there seems to be none around. And believe me when I say that I have tested them all....

Even unlocking the hidden built in call recording functionality?
Sent from the mighty Note II
Hmm. That's actually the only thing I haven't tried. Simply because I thought
it would have no impact, since BT recording DO work, but only the other part.
And since no one has ever actually confirmed that BT recording really work.
Anyway, thanx for the input. I guess I'll give it a go. :good:

There is no separate setting to enable in the settings menu. In order to be able record calls (both sides of the conversation), you would need a rooted device. Then install XPOSED framwork. Download and activate the 'Call recording' module within the XPOSED framework. Check youtube videos on how to installed the XPOSED framework.
If done properly, you should find a call recording Icon in you CALL screen (when the call is active).
cheers.

I hope i'm not too late to answer your question.
Just wanna makes thing clearer:
If your device already rooted and already installed Xposed Installer,
then open Xposed Installer --> open "Download" section, find "Enable Call Recording" module, click on it then download. Before that, you can see in "download" section if you're already install the module or not.
After you install "Enable Call Recording" module, back to Xposed Installer menu, open "Modules" section. check the EnableCallRecording module.
then Reboot.
After that you can record your conversation manually (as far as i know). When you call someone, Record menu (with cassette icon) will active after the phone call is active (when someone you call pick up your phone call). Then you can record the converstion by touch the cassette icon.
REC files are saved in "Sounds" folder in your phone memory. The file extension is .amr
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.skvalex.callrecorder
Love that application. Especially since it upload my conversations automatically in the cloud.
There are many call recording apps for Note 2
As of 2015-06 there are many free apps that record calls on Note 2.
Make sure you only have one of such apps installed, since having multiple call recording apps may cause issues and prevent those apps from recording a call.
None of these apps require a rooted Note 2. I've tested these apps on my unrooted GT-N7100.
Apps are listed here randomnly, it doesn't mean that app no.1 is better than others:
1. Call Recorder. Clever Mobile
2. Record My Call. RMC - Android Call Recorder
3. Call recorder. ViktorDegt
4. Total Recall. Call Recorder. Killer Mobile
5. Automatic Call Recorder. Appliqato
6. Call Recorder - ACR. NLL
7. Call Recorder. Boldbeast
8. callX. Automatic Call Recorder. SMSROBOT LTD
Personally I liked callX the most. I record to .mp3 using High quality settings. Sound quality seems to be as good or even better than you get when using other call recording apps on Note 2.
Hi,
After replacing my LG G3 with the new Nexus 5X I was surprised to find out I can't use my call recording app anymore.
The company said that Native Call Recording is locked on Nexus devices - So no recording apps can work.
Is there a solution for that?
Thanks!

I've never seen a Nexus device with native call recording. The only way I've gotten 2-way call recording to work is using Call Recorder

As I said - My app does not work.
The call recording app company said that it will not work on the nexus device. Meaning no other app will work as well.

The app I linked to requires root to record from the line on devices where the functionality is otherwise unavailable. That is why it works where other recording apps (i.e., non-root apps) do not work.

I am from the UK and we can't use the Google dialer for recording calls. Tried a couple of apps but can't get it working properly.
Have anyone managed to find a solution e.g 3rd party app for decent call recording without root and if so which settings do you use?
Thanks
Same here, would love to use call recording with the Google dialer.
Presently I use True Phone which allows for call recording (I am rooted, though ).....
I've been using call recorder by Skvalex with all of my Pixel devices for years. It works better with root but can be used without. I've used it with root access with all of my other devices but so far I haven't rooted my 6 pro. I was actually surprised at how well it works without root access. It's a paid app but you get a 7 day trial to see if you like it. I can't remember right off hand how much it cost but it is well worth the price. Here is the link. https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...cord-phone-calls-from-the-phone-line.1441643/

Found a solution, Cube ACR works quite well.
EDIT:

In order for call recording software to work, it needs to be installed as a privileged system application. You can't just user-install an untrusted package and have it work, except through wacky hacks like recording both sides by using the microphone on super-high sensitivity and then normalizing.

Not possible. You will not able to record calls and you can't do anything to change that. Also none of call recording app will work.
The only way is to use loud speaker and other phone to record call
