If your rooted then use Xposed Framework
Created for 4.1.2 for TW based Odexed/Deodexed
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1944795
I would have used any call recorder there is, IF it was able to record both sides when using a BT headset.
Unfortunately, there seems to be none around. And believe me when I say that I have tested them all....

Even unlocking the hidden built in call recording functionality?
Sent from the mighty Note II
Hmm. That's actually the only thing I haven't tried. Simply because I thought
it would have no impact, since BT recording DO work, but only the other part.
And since no one has ever actually confirmed that BT recording really work.
Anyway, thanx for the input. I guess I'll give it a go. :good:

There is no separate setting to enable in the settings menu. In order to be able record calls (both sides of the conversation), you would need a rooted device. Then install XPOSED framwork. Download and activate the 'Call recording' module within the XPOSED framework. Check youtube videos on how to installed the XPOSED framework.
If done properly, you should find a call recording Icon in you CALL screen (when the call is active).
cheers.

I hope i'm not too late to answer your question.
Just wanna makes thing clearer:
If your device already rooted and already installed Xposed Installer,
then open Xposed Installer --> open "Download" section, find "Enable Call Recording" module, click on it then download. Before that, you can see in "download" section if you're already install the module or not.
After you install "Enable Call Recording" module, back to Xposed Installer menu, open "Modules" section. check the EnableCallRecording module.
then Reboot.
After that you can record your conversation manually (as far as i know). When you call someone, Record menu (with cassette icon) will active after the phone call is active (when someone you call pick up your phone call). Then you can record the converstion by touch the cassette icon.
REC files are saved in "Sounds" folder in your phone memory. The file extension is .amr
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.skvalex.callrecorder
Love that application. Especially since it upload my conversations automatically in the cloud.
There are many call recording apps for Note 2
As of 2015-06 there are many free apps that record calls on Note 2.
Make sure you only have one of such apps installed, since having multiple call recording apps may cause issues and prevent those apps from recording a call.
None of these apps require a rooted Note 2. I've tested these apps on my unrooted GT-N7100.
Apps are listed here randomnly, it doesn't mean that app no.1 is better than others:
1. Call Recorder. Clever Mobile
2. Record My Call. RMC - Android Call Recorder
3. Call recorder. ViktorDegt
4. Total Recall. Call Recorder. Killer Mobile
5. Automatic Call Recorder. Appliqato
6. Call Recorder - ACR. NLL
7. Call Recorder. Boldbeast
8. callX. Automatic Call Recorder. SMSROBOT LTD
Personally I liked callX the most. I record to .mp3 using High quality settings. Sound quality seems to be as good or even better than you get when using other call recording apps on Note 2.

No stock phone have call recording, so note 2 will not have it
i thought it was available in galaxy s1(upto 2.2 froyo),s2 and s3 also.
Yes, there is
1) Root your phone. How-to: http://galaxynote2root.com/
2) Buy https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.skvalex.callrecorder
3) In settings: Standard Android API: Voice call uplink + downlink
Crystal clear recording and the PERFECT call recorder. All the functions you could possibly want in a call recorder!
Just goes to show you didn't search. I posted this on Monday under apps as it was root and Callrecorder enabling the function. Ah, well.

Anyone know how to get the build in Samsung call recording to work?
This is usually native in Korean roms. And will probably be ported once official firmwares start leaking and appear on samfirmwares.com.

Thx.
How to stop the recording option ?
The recorder icon can not be turned off .
I've been using 'Call Recorder' by skvalex for many years across many devices but it seems like it's no longer working since Pie. Tried a couple others and they're also only recording my side of the conversation only.
Is there anything out there working on non-rooted P?
auto call recorder works perfect. I think call recorder from skvalex works also.
It does not work on Android P.
[KB] Android 9 (P) Call recording issues.
There is no way to record interlocutor's audio properly at the moment. You can use Loud speaker to record both side. All call recording apps will be same., This is not limitation of ACR but Android 9 and the phone.

I don't know if it makes any difference but I'm rooted with magisk version 16.7-1674. That build can be found in the Flash kernel thread. I'm also using Flash kernel 3.0. Everything else is stock. Call recorder 3.0 with root add-on 2.03-1.
Audio source: Caf
Format: Flac
Everything else is basically default. I attached a few screenshots. Here is a link to a recording with me talking to an answering machine I just uploaded to Google drivehttps://drive.google.com/file/d/1eDqtDJzMaZi05l7CdY1fUy8teXm8U4LC/view?usp=drivesdk.

I think you misunderstood me. It might be acceptable for you or someone else. However,cCall is recorded from the earpiece speaker, gain applied. Real call recording is done by getting audio form Android system not from speaker. Hence, it is not real call recording.
Works perfectly on Pie with Pixel 2 XL rooted!

Thanks so much! Was just missing the ROOT module.
Hello,
With Android 9, I now have the option to record call directly.
I used an app for that (CallRecorder) that now try to use the system recorder.
But it does not work as the system does not seem to record anything, even though I have the pop up "Call recorded" by the system app.
It redirect me to the 'recorder' app but is stays empty.
Any help ?
In recording app there are two tabs in recording list. One is for recordings you created and one is for calls record. Check carefully you'll find it.

All my previous OP phones have had a built-in Call Recorder that I could enable by installing the Magisk module linked below (worked on my 5T/6/7 Pro). I've rooted my 9 Pro and installed the module via Magisk but I don't see the call recording options in the settings of the Phone app. Also don't see the option to begin recording the call on the active call screen, or see a notification that calls are being recorded.
So, does anyone know if the call recorder is no longer built in? I know the phone is new and it may not be known yet but figured I'd get the conversation started on this.

I don't think it is, pretty sure the call recording feature was built into the OnePlus Dialer apk. The OnePlus 9 Pro (at least my device) uses the Google Dialer apk which doesn't support native call recording.

Ok. Got it working. Did the following:
1. Installed OnePlus Dialer using Magisk module in XDA page at the bottom of this post. I only needed the DIALER and CONTACTS so I said NO to the MESSENGER.
2. Rebooted, still nothing. Re-flashed module from OP in this thread and rebooted, still nothing.
3. In that same page below, jOnePlusTools is mentioned. Downloaded that from the Play Store, granted root access, enabled both Call Recording options there and voila!
Call recording is now back in the OP dialer. I set the OP dialer as the default phone app and hid the Google dialer.
Hope that helps others.

Thanks.
I also have the OP dialer. Recording works fine.
But on my old OP7Pro i had a folder where all recordings where saved, so i was able to backup them.
Don't remember if it was in Google Phone or OP. Also i don't remember how i did it on the 7.
If i enter the OP Dialer, i can see all recordings, But sharing does not work and "View in file manager" opens the file manager, but no recordings are found.
Anyone knows where the files are stored?
Thanks
Edit:
Found the path:
storage/self/primary/Android/data/com.oneplus.communication.data/files/Record/PhoneRecord

EDIT: Apparently, it's not supported on Canary. Only Stable.
I like this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.skvalex.cr
It has more flexible config. Actually, I installed Magisk module with this app, as there is supposedly a limitation that store apps can't access caller names any longer.

+1 for this app . When my OP7P was upgraded to android 11 I started having issues with stability and realuability of ACR apps I had relied on for years. Stumbled on skvalex module in magiso and gave it a try.
For me best setup is with skvalex as a front end manager for native OP call recorder functionality with o keep enabled via joneplus tools. Nice options in skvalex to import and convert recordings, sync with cloud etc. For me the quality of the recordings worked better simply with skvalex as the GUI and manager rather than using skvalex as both the front and backend. Haven't experienced any issues in well over a year. With previous ACR apps I would sometimes not have recordings or recordings would end prematurely if I was transfered to another person, or switched from hanset to BT, or disconnected from my car and continued call on handset.
