Are modem files region specific? Can I just flash newest modem and gsm firmware or should I look for versions specific to my country and operator?

You can flash any modem you like.
But I'm not sure if this also applies to the USA S4 models (Verizon, AT&T etc).

Re-flash the stock firmware. Will do the job.
My baseband version in about phone also showing XXXX. Any one can solve this? I already tried flashing stock rom but it also not working.

Hi guys i installed wrong firmware on my device still work but got ( Not registered on network ) if i make any call
after searching i relies that the IMEI has been change I search a lot to change it back but no result, any idea how to get back the right one?

If it's the SHV-E250S, look at Sammobile here
If it is not the SHV-E250S, use the controls in the middle of the page to find the stock firmware for your model.

my phone download mode shows model i9082_cu
i tried to flash 4.2.2 via odin & it fails after flashing recovery
so the phone now

I have already gotten the OH1 update... if you can tell me how to extract it from my phone I will get it and post it for you.
Can you help me? It's the following, every time I try to install TWRP via odin on my A5, the following highlighted message appears in red after flashing the .tar file in download mode: "Only official release binaries are allowed to be flashed (RECOVERY)".

Unfortunately you've updated your device which has locked the bootloader. Your device is no longer able to be customised.
by no means I can not undo this? nor using the miracle box, or z3x samsung pro tool?
