All good, I was hoping to get a quick reply but it didn't turn out that way. Can close this thread.

Hi,
Had exactly the same issue.
The problem for me was restoring the backup file created by Sprite.
I resolved my issue by not restoring the messaging dB's - and everything was OK - The reverse is make a backup but not the messaging dB's then restore.
Hope this helps somewhat.

Hi After doing some googling I found a tool that might help for some people but it didnt for me. someone else might ba able to shed some light
1) use the DBViewSP editor to go to cemail.vol
2) under that go to 'pmailNamedProps' and select it to edit the values
3) scroll down to the very last 2 values, which should be called 'UnreadCou...'
4) delete them
5) restart
Please if you do do this make a backup of your .vol file 'just in case'!

Simple question, frustrating topic (on my behalf), doubtful answer.
Ok soooo, the MIUI roms has a stock notes app. I used it frequently and had some notes on there i wish i had now. Problem is, MIUI started giving me problems force stopping and what not and i was forced to flash a new rom. IT didnt cross my mind to screen shot the notes as the notes i had weren't the first thing on my mind. I know MIUI had/has its own file when you look in the file manager on your phone but my question is:
Were the notes on the MIUI notes app saved in any way, in any place on the sdcard or phone to where i could recover the notes i had when MIUI was my functioning rom. I still have the MIUI folder on my phone but i cannot find the notes i HAD but i know they were saved obviously because they were saved when the rom was functioning. Anyone have any ideas?
I assume i've lost the notes forever but this was worth asking to me. Please forgive me is i piss anyone off by starting this new thread but i honestly did look and search on here and Google and other forum sites including looking through MIUI info. Thanks for your time spent reading.

If you did a nandroid of your last miui install just restore it, write down your notes, and then nandroid back to your current rom. That is probably the only way.

Miui export tool
In Miui notes if you use the Menu key you will get an option for exporting text to your SD card. Select this option and your notes will be backed up to your SD.

MIUI Notes data export with Titanium Backup
Hello,
maybe im too late reply this question, but i hope it usefull for any who needed this info right now.
I found myself exported my MIUI Notes data to *.csv format. For someone who (only) need the content of their MIUI Notes, may try this:
1. Install Titanium Backup (with root rights, of course),
2. Tap Backup/Restore,
3. Tap & hold on Notes app (it will open the special features)
4. Tap on "Explore" (it will open the location of the data. The accesible field were in bold font)
5. Tap on "
data" (it will summon the "Select the columns for CSV"), tick whichever field you prefers.
6. Tap on "Save file locally" or other options fit to your need
7. Locate the CSV file, open with office application.
Ahh, finished ! :victory:

Hi. Is it working..? I want to backup my notes too before change my ROM
This .csv seems to be OK on the Phone, with english and russian letters (my native language is russian). But when open on PC = all russian symbols are hieroglyphs, like wrong coding or something.
I think it's solvable, but more important question is how to restore from that .CSV to Google Keep or ColorNote or another app that supports multi-platform synchro?
Hi guys,
I really need your help on this one.
I have searched the forums and the web for a full day now and it seems that I am not alone with my problem here:
Last night I used Solid Explorer to create a subfolder with pictures within the Camera folder. I then tried to move that folder somewhere else on the "SD Card".
But when the process was finished, the subfolder was empty and all the pictures were gone. I could still see the thumbnails in the Camera folder, but when I tried to open one of them, they also all just disappeared!
Now I have read several threads here on xda about the problems of file recovery on a MTP device... Seems like normal file recovery programs will not be of any help in this case.
However I was hoping, that by now someone came up with a solution to this problem, since it affects all users of the GNex.
Some more infos on my side:
The phone runs 4.0.4, is not rooted and not unlocked - everything is stock.
Data back up via Google Plus and Dropbox was not possible, since I am on holidays in Asia with no data plan or WiFi available.
I have switched the phone to flight mode and (hopefully) not written any new data on the storage.
So my questions would be the following:
1) Has anybody yet found a way to asign a physical drive letter to the GNex, making it possible to be recognized by regular file recovery software?
Or is anybody currrently looking into that matter, trying to find a solution?
2) In case that I will not be able to recover the pictures myself through some pc software off the net, will I be able to let some professional have my files restored for me? If I understand correctly, all it takes is a software, that is able to recognize a ext3 or ext4 storage system???
I would really appreciate any help on this matter, because these pictures mean a lot to me and I really hope that I will be able to get them back somehow.
Thanks in advance,
Patrick.
Edit: Argh! First post and I got it wrong already! Sorry, I meant to post this in the Q/A section but ended up posting it in General :-/
I had to format my sd card losing 13GB of information yesterday. This was also due to stupid mtp. Sorry i doubt you can recover.
Sorry to hear that! Until now I could never understand the objections many people seemed to have concerning MTP, as it handled pretty much the same as an USB device when using a Windows PC. But now that I gained some insight in the matter, it's probably the ONE thing I don't like about this phone.
It just sucks to find that out the hard way...
But maybe somebody else still has an idea and can point me in the right direction?
I've had the same problem, and I'm blaming MTP as well. I finally gave up, formatted my drive and replaced MTP with cloud services or transferring files via adb.
I'm using the latest version of Zooper Widget Pro from the playstore on a VZW Samsung Galaxy S4 (Slimrom v1.9 - Android 4.3)
Whenever I create a new zooper widget (any size) or open one that has been created, I am unable to see ANY templates in the SD Card Templates section. All I get is the spinning loading icon. I tried being patient and waiting over 15 minutes - set the phone down and came back with screen timeout set to never, as well. I've tried reinstalling and clearing data+cache. I've tried moving the folder to my SD and moving back to see if it would 'refresh' - no luck. I only got the list of templates when I luck when I moved all my templates from the Zooper folder 'Templates' folder to a different folder and moved back only 10 templates (at random). Whenever I move more templates into the 'Templates' folder, I get the spinning loading icon hang.
Why is it doing this?? I have a fair share of templates in my folder but why did it work up until a couple days ago? Did it reach a tipping point of sorts?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Even if someone else can share a similar issue or something. Cause I'm at my wits end with this. I have a few skins I wanted to put up in the playstore and I'm currently being held back.
Sorry for the long post and I hope that this is the correct section. Thank you for taking the time to read this and helping find a solution.
The screenshot I attached is what I see when I select SD card templates to see the list to choose from.

I have the same issue on my Galaxy S3 with Onmi rom (latest nightly)
Lucky I have bought it few minutes ago and can abort the transaction. I will buy it again when it will work
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT: Solved!!!
I had to copy the templates into internal storage folder:
/storage/emulated/0/ZooperWidget/Templates
then they were visible inside the app after tapping "open from sdcard"
Maybe i was just too hasty
Hi all,
I deleted calendar storage while debloating my t705, and I'm not anywhere near my PC to flash stock and start again. Can some one pull the calendar sync apk and share a link to it here please?
