Hi
I have recently acquired a used LG Optimus G F180L (now successfully converted to e975) from korea. I haven't received the AC charger. I would like to know from fellow users of this phone what are the output voltage specs on the charger of this phone. If possible even photo of the charger with the specs would be much appreciated.
I have Samsung charger with 5.0v and 0.7a and i also have chinese made possibly duplicate version of the LG charger which indicates 5.6v and 0.7a. Not sure which one would be most suitable for the battery of the Optimus G.
Any help appreciated.
Original charger is 5v at 1.2A.

I contacted LG Spain support for the same: I had a Samsung 0.7 A charger and I want to know if I could use it without problems. They answered me very proffesionaly. They said me I can use any charger from 0.5 to 1.2 A (avoiding bad chinesse units).

Dear Friends,
I need your advise regarding charger.. I am using 5v---2A charger for charging my LG G Pro.. I takes not more than 1.5 he's to fully charge... is it damaging my battery... and what are the stock charger specifications?
Looking forward for your prompt response

I thought stock LG G Pro wall charger is 1.8A? Either way, all the latest phones with high capacity batteries use 2A charger for faster charging. Also, typically it should not draw more current than it's rated charging speed. The rule of thumb is to use a charger with a same rating as a stock one.

thank you very much for reponsw ... please also confirm 5v---2A charger is safe to use?

It's safe, but I don't know where you got your charger For example at home, I use only brand name 2A chargers from Samsung, Anker, and UE/Logitech for charging of all of my accessories from 500mA to 2A (they only draw as much as they need too even so all my charging sources can provide up to 2A of current). But if you guys $4 no-brand charger from eBay, doesn't matter what the label say - you can never guarantee safe operation at max current since those are cheap without a good over-current protection or component rating without a margin. I would also recommend asking other LG G Pro users in direct forum sub-section of XDA: http://forum.xda-developers.com/optimus-g-pro
Good luck!
Hello everyone, I was wondering If I can charge my G3 with my little sisters EVGA tegra note 7 charger. It says that Input is 100-240V~50/60Hz 0.3A, While Output is 5.0V___2.0A. I really don't know much about this and I dont want to damage my G3 battery and if someone could say if it is safe or not to charge a battery with a charger with higher A rating. Plus any good car chargers/replacement charges for the G3? I left my original one at a friends house :/
That's fine. If it's 5 volts it won't ever charge over its capacity.
Thank you, I never understood those ratings and stuff so I wanted to make sure.
Anyone have a solution for official lg chargers not working with this phone? I have two lg chargers. One will only show the x symbol when plugged and the other will not do anything. However a generic charger I have will work. Thanks
No idea what the problem is however I only use blackberry charger with my lg g3. Charges from dead to full in under an hour.
Hi there,
so i was wondering if anyone has this problem which i have. Recently i installed Ampere app and checked why my chargers aren't working as they suppose to. I have 2 chargers, one original 1,2A and one 2,1A. Also there is one car charger which can use 1A and 2,1A current.
I checked with Ampere and in max. USB curr. i have 900mA. Is it something not normal in E975 or maybe this phone has limit? For less than second after connecting USB cable from charger i see 1500mA in this box and then it changed to 900mA. From calculations it seems 900mA is max (charging around 2,5 hours).
My question is: do i have broken phone or charging is really limited to silly 900mA? Is there any solution to increase that current limit?
the app lies... the phone draws 1.2
So, using 1,2A charger and good cable should be enough to charge it as fast as it is possible? What about using "bigger" charger like 2,1A? From my experience it doesn't speed up whole process but maybe i have some ****ty chargers...
tried with a lg g3 charger (1.8A) and the tool i have to measure ampere showed allitle less! but maybe the tool said wrong... who knows...
