Guys...Install Lollipop Version of At&t official OS. It has Enhanced HD Voice calling feature. It means the VoLTE feature.
Simply goto HTC At&t official site and download Lollipop OS for your phone.
Hey Guys...
There are so many questions unanswered for this Phone???
1. Are we going to get the VOLTE update???
2. If not, then do we have any Rom that supports RUU???
3. If yes, would flashing a AT&T RUU on TUHL would brick my phone??? Please guide if its possible.
4. Please let me know how to flash to stock. I have been im several threads but couldn't find a solution for OTA updates. My current Rom info is:
I have pre rooted Marshmallow Rom 6.01 installed where I did not select rooting, I don't have SU installed so I presume that the phone is not rooted.
Eye_TUHL PVT SHIP S-ON, 4.11.709.1 is the version....and it refrains from OTA update...it shows modified so can't update.
As per my knowledge the phone is unrooted with stock recovery installed. Bootloader unlocked.
Radio is 1.32.213311841.31G
5. I hope someone answers my doubts as its been so many days I have not used this phone and now I am on this phone for some reasons.
Many thanks for your help... Please help......Thank you again.

Hey guys, i own a verizon htc one m8 with S-OFF, rooted, and with the custom rom : ViperOneM8 4.3.0.
I live in brazil, and i cant get signal anywhere. And in the phone radio frequency there are only 2 options : PCA and USA band. None can get it working.
Can anyone help me ? I am lost..

Were you able to resolve this issue? If yes, then how?
Much appreciate
Resolved: Downloaded latest Viper ROM 4.3.0 but that did not work and niether ARHD(not compatible with Verizon M8) So the issue was latest Viper ROM 4.3.0 doesn't give you an option to choose carrier(Verizon/Sprint/T-Mobile etc.) in Aroma, Viper has released a separate DL for Verizon M8. I learnt the hard way(downloading and flashing several ROMs) that any ROM that gives an option to choose carrier in Aroma during installation would enable the Automatic option in Phone Info Settings/Phone Testing App/ 4G Switcher App / Network app. So earlier version of Viper ROM probably 4.4.4 would have worked. A single Custom ROM download that supports Multiple Carriers is the solution missing Radio Band issue..
I downloaded GPE 5.0.1 on my 5.0.1 Stock Firmware to get my lost signal, relief !!
Careful, do not go for 5.1, GPE gives an option to upgrade your firmware and install Lollipop 5.1 , i tried and it didn't work but Firmware and ROM 5.0.1 work like a charm. Probably the 5.1 GPE variant(as on today, 12/06/15) has something to do with the boot.img file, after flasing it when tried to open phone info settings it kept giving error "unexpectedly com.android.phone has stopped."
Hope this comes handy to guyz who get into same mess as I did
Cheers!!
Hello everyone,
I received an hTC m8 (Harman Kardon edition) as a gift. When I received the device, it was factory locked through Sprint Mobile. After a lot of research on internet and on this forum, I have unlocked it to use GSM services in India, and its working fine now.
But now the problem is it does not have the Tethering option. I want to tether my M8's internet connection with other devices but it has no option to enable WiFi tethering or anything. I have also tried a few third party tethering app from play store like(FoxFi, Wifi Tether, etc..) but had no luck. They all failed to start the hotspot and establish a connection.
Screenshot: http://imgur.com/Tl3dxzD
Please help me, how can I enable the tethering or internet sharing option on my device.
Device Specs:
1: Model no: 831C
2: Rooted and Unlocked
3: Android Version - 4.4.2
4: S/w Version - 1.54.654.13
Please help me and let me know if more details are required about my device.

Agree that a custom ROM is likely the easiest way to enable tethering.
Be sure to use one that supports the Sprint version M8.
Also, your firmware needs to be updated before running current ROMs.

Post #2 above already suggested a couple ROMs.
Any ROM that supports the Sprint M8 should have tethering working. I'm not a fan of recommended certain ROMs. I'm not even a Sprint owner for one thing. But more importantly, ROM choice is a matter of personal choice. Its like asking me to pick a favorite color for you.

Thanks for the support redpoint73.
One more question is that you suggested me to flash a "custom ROM that supports the Sprint version M8", though I have an unlocked device, also sprint services are no longer being used as I am using services of Idea telecom in India and I suppose it can support global carriers now.. so is it mandatory to pick the Sprint version only or should I choose a global version.?
I have also read somewhere that sprint charges extra bucks to use its mobile data for tethering services, may be installing a sprint version ROM restricts that tethering option to appear (Just assuming, don't know much about these stuffs).

A custom ROM that supports the Sprint M8 is not the same as a Sprint ROM (such as stock Sprint) or using the phone on the Sprint network.
Its absolutely important to pick a ROM that supports the Sprint M8 (or flash the kernel to get another ROM to work - more on that in the next paragraph). Whether or not the device was SIM unlocked, or even changing the ROM does not change the fact you have a "Sprint M8". There are significant differences between the Sprint and other M8 versions (and being SIM unlocked or flashing a ROM won't change it - actually nothing will) in that the partitioning and radios are different. In this way, your phone will always be a "Sprint version" M8. The difference is important to understand, not just for flashing ROMs; but if you decide to s-off the phone and flash another versions RUU or firmware, it won't work, and you may even brick the phone. So don't do it!!!
If you flash a ROM that doesn't specifically support the Sprint version, it won't boot. You may be able to get those ROMs to work by flashing the proper kernel, but you can probably find more discussion about that in the "Sprint" specific M8 forums, from other Sprint version users, etc.
Custom ROMs will almost always have tethering enabled. Even if it started as a Sprint-based ROM, the dev will most likely have removed the tethering restrictions. That's one of the things that makes these ROMs so great!

Ok guys I did my homework I read 90% of the threads and have searched high and low so now I have to ask. Has anyone successfully gotten Advanced calling to work with the new marshmallow update with your unlock Bootloader? I know that most don't use it but me and my family do video calling is a must and I like the smoothness of Verizon's Advanced Calling plus internet while on the phone is a big bonus. If anyone is able to help me out here I'd be very greatful. I have 3 note 4's 2 on 6.0.1 and the other still on 5.1.1. The phone on 5.1.1 has the advanced calling already active I was just hoping to have it on marshmallow without having to run full-blown stock and locked bootloader. Thanks for any and all help.

You may need to activate it on your account. I think you can do that on verizonwireless.com
I deactivated and waited 24 hours and reactivated with it still not activating on the phones. I had the same issue on my lg v10 I had to go back to stock then flash the update root file over it for it to stay activated. But I don't know if I can do that With the note 4. Not sure if I can odin the verizon MM update and then do the bootloader unlock.

If you are in the united states, volte will only work on stock or stock based Roms. It has to do with the system partition being modified. Only reason stock based roms have volte is because all mods are managed by magisk, which is what they call "systemless".

VoLTE does not work on LeeDrOiD Oreo for any of the US Carriers. Regarding the comment made in a previous reply, VoLTE worked just fine on the HTC10 Viper Nougat ROM.
I know for a fact that HTC released Oreo for the 10 in early January, pulled it, and then re-released it a few weeks later. Why? I'm not sure. I do know that that the firmware available from the link provided in the LeeDrOiD ROM gets you firmware dated January 3rd, 2018, which is from the first release. I haven't been able to find the firmware from the late January release, or even if it is the same or not.
I'm currently researching how to revert to stock and to take the update directly from HTC, see if it works on their version, and if it does, remain stock. I asked about the issue on the LeeDeOiD page, and got no answers what so ever. As a matter of fact. several people asked and no one got an answer.
I am not sure if this is a ROM issue, or a firmware issue. You say you have a WWE version phone, with WWE version firmware? I have US Unlocked with 3.16.617.2 9.0 Not only does my VoLTE not work, but I lost the call waiting and call forwarding features as well.
I'm thinking volte won't work for awhile until Oreo has a few updates and HTC can get their crap in control and the devs can work better with what HTC gives us. The only reason we are this far is because HTC gave us the kernel source and the devs are trying their hardest with it. They are having many other difficulties with aosp. I'm sure stock based ROMs will get smoother and work better. But for now, we will have to wait

I already moved onto the glorious Galaxy S9. it's been amazing #noregrets and thanks for confirming.
Hi All,
I have a LG G710EMW, and I want to get android 10 on it. I live in UK so I flashed EU open rom onto this phone. Now everything appears to work fine, dual sim is working OK, I can call etc, but I get this error every time on startup.
I have read other threads - but they say they get no network, however my phone seems fine. Can I leave this rom or should I wait until brazil/hong hong/aus get android 10 and then flash? Also any idea when that will happen or it's already happened? Can you share the KDZ?

I tried the volte solution in guides section and also voenabler magisk module. They did not work for me. I have EMW.
I have shifted to lineages, so am not looking at the development in those threads anymore. Voenabler in lineage os only changed my LTE to LTE+.
Voenabler did work for someone in that thread maybe you can go to that thread and discuss or try on your phone.

I use the one by Josh.
For me it is stable. I don't use bluetooth, wireless charging, etc. so cannot comment on that.
I find this to be the best ROM out there for now. It has good battery and performance.
Basically you should be ready to experiment and see if you like it. If you want a fully stable phone, and no TIME to experiment, then I would advice you to stick to stock.

I had already read this guide, but I gave up as the code did not open any menus. Doing some research I found that the code varies by model (ends with 710#). However, unfortunately it does not work. I cannot modify the NT Code and with the 20b base firmware it returns NTCODE WRITE ERROR after edit it.
