Hello!
I just got an LG G4 (not a new one but almost brand new) and decided to switch it's ROM to
CM13.
so I unlocked th bootloader, installed TWRP and installed CM13.
so far so good.
but when I tried to install Gapps (Arm64,stock 6.0)
it said the version that I used is not compatible with my ROM and said my CM13's version is
5.1.1 ...
I wiped my device (completely)
and it's now stuck on the LG starting screen.
when I'm trying to boot into recovery mode it's sometimes working and sometimes not (usually when it's working TWRP freezes almost immediately)
Is there anyway I could fix this?

Use LG UP to flash a new firmware
Or use the Hard reset method, by pressing the Volume down and power button when you take the battery out

First, what rom did you flash and how did you flash it?
Try this as well:
Pull the battery, press the power button for a few seconds. Put the battery back in and press the power button again. Pop the battery out a 2nd time and then put it back in. See if it turns on.
If that doesn't work, pull the battery and hook the phone up (without the battery) to a computer and again see if it turns on and shows up in device manager.
Flashing the wrong rom should only result in a non-booting situation. If you have a custom recovery installed, you should be able to still get into that. The d850 has some serious issues with successfully rebooting in general (which can be resolved by the two suggested procedures above), so I would suspect that before worrying about a brick.
Lastly, the d850 requires bumped ROMs to get by the locked bootloader. The d851 (T-Mobile version) does not have a locked bootloader, so the roms are not bumped and will of course fail to boot.
Once you get back into recovery, just wipe all partitions except for internal storage/sd card and install a correct rom.

When you say you got the phone on, what do you mean?
If it is on and showing up as a phone in Windows, why not just use the LG recovery tool and flash back to stock, then start over?

i wiped all internal data for install a new rom via TWRP but this new rom doesn't exist XD
Okay, so you wiped all data. Then what, you tried to flash new rom via ADB?
just reboot to twrp by holding vol up and power. when you see the lg logo release power and press and hold it again. Then a screen asking to factory reset comes up. say yes and yes, then you are in twrp. Connect phone to computer and enable mtp mode so your computer see the phone. You can then transfer another rom to phone to flash.

Wiping even with internal data checked doesn't wipe twrp...you will have to use button combo to boot as another user suggested...hold vol down+power and when screen comes on release only power then quickly repress power...do not release volume...many people are giving instructions from g2/3 which are slightly different than g4...i have accidentally done this myself...trust me twrp won't overwrite itself it's still there

Hey all, I really have no knowledge when it comes to phones, so any help would be appreciated.
I have been trying to root my LG G3 for a few days now, but it just wont happen. I have tried PurpleDrake and ioroot and end up with the same error every time whilst the phone is restarting. As the screen is black and attempts to boot, in the top right of the screen, the message "Verification boot failed! cause- MISMATCH_SIG_LEN" and then the phone will just go to a black screen while the LED alternates blue and red. This also happens when I try to enter stock recovery. I know I have the latest ADB drivers installed and the right drivers for my phone, so that can't be it. My G3 is a D852 with SV 30b on Marshmallow, my carrier is Bell. Thanks.

hi, I need some help, i'm desperate.
I was using a bad charger, when my phone was in low battery, so it turned off my phone (charging > not charging) three times. In the third boot, the CM logo just froze up, and the phone didn't boot anymore. It appears Lenovo's logo and then the screen turns black and i'm not able to press any button. I tried to: wipe everything, flash another rom, but the same still happening. I flashed stock rom too, but it gives me a bootloop. I tried to use a TWRP's backup from stock rom, but it didn't work either.
Any help? I don't know what to do

Since you flashed a stock rom , flash a new twrp using adb and fastboot and wipe everything except system . BTW a simple reboot (or three) cant damage system. Try checking battery too if you could

I tried that with QFIL and Lenovo Smart Assistance. and bootloop.
But I think i've made some progress:
I tried to flashed a new rom (I flashed CM/RR/AOCP before, is with these roms the frozen lenovo screen happens), CRDROID, and it appears crdroid bootanimation, and load until it frozes and phone turn off.

Try entering to TWRP by using the hardware keys. Do this:
Pull down the battery.
Insert again.
Press power key, volume up and volume down at the same time, until lenovo logo dissappear.
If luck, you are into TWRP now.
connect phone to computer via usb cable. you should be able to access to internal memory.
So, copy into it any custom ROM previously downloaded from your computer, and flash it. That's all.

Bootleggers has some bugs, like WhatsApp not being able to play GIFs or videos. Also, after a while in the day, launcher becomes laggy (maybe a kernel settings issue). You have to reboot and becomes smooth and fast again.
I highly recommend LOS 15.1 or AEX 5.6 from Harry (yes, he is continuing the development!) Both of them have June updates.
I'm on AEX right now, which is such a marvelous ROM. It has a looot of customizations than any other ROM I've tried.
How to get them?
Search into the Harry8242 profile from AFH.

LOS 15.1 is fine but has some bugs too(camera zoomer not working).
I've finally decided to use a STOCK ROM and there is a complication, here is the problem:" I'm using lenovo downloader software to flash and once my phone is connected, the progress bar gets stuck at the begining level and says:"Flashing" below the status bar and " Sahara "- which have no idea what means- below the step bar and it also takes too much time to do the flashing which is never done! Glad to hear that! So, you've decided to stay on stock ROM. OK, it has sense. stock firmware is free of bugs, right? Now, do you know being on stock LL you can "update" to MM and thus get doze and adaptive storage?
How?
Follow this guide:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/k5-plus/how-to/guide-a6020l36-official-lenovo-andoid-6-t3596733
and you'll get the most updated official stock ROM available four our device. Actually, it's a backup made by an Brazilian user, where you should restore only system and boot partitions, in order to keep your data.
This update was only released for Brazil region, but, users from other regions in the thread, reported it worked for them.
I've tried it once, and worked like a charm.
Hi, I was using my G3 (D855) normally, suddenly start to show some weird lag, and next to it to restart itself, i try to hard reset but when i try to turn it on stucks on the LG's bootlogo and the led star to flash between green and blue, so i was wondering if someone know this problem and how can be resolved? Viewing some forums say thats battery problem but in others says is hardware issue
try factory reset-- hold power button and volume DOWN at same time untill LG logo appears then relase them and press again
now hit erase all data and factory reset
this may help you if not try LG flash tool and flashing stock ROM -can find on XDA
