I assume your thru verizon, and s-off. Have you tried dialing *228 and selecting option 1? If that dosent work then do an ruu thru hboot http://dinc.does-it.net/Stock_Images/4.06.605.3/PB31IMG.zip, then do a factory reset from hboot, then boot up the phone and do the setup and activation. Then reflash cwm thru hboot http://dinc.does-it.net/Recoveries/CWM_5.0.2.0/PB31IMG.zip, flash the su binary thru recovery http://dinc.does-it.net/Superuser/SuperUser_3.0.7.zip, boot up, and install busybox from the market. From there flash the rom of your choosing thru recovery.
I've got two gnex (gsm) devices, one was mine (until switched to nex 5) and one my wife's. They were purchased about 6 months apart, and both worked with stock roms for over a year.
At some point, my wife's device began working super slowly, and shortly after, it started rebooting randomly. The reboots became more and more frequent, and hard resets didn't help. I tried installing Cyanogen, didn't help. She switched over to my device and the same happened. Eventually, both devices somehow became soft-bricked - they're both stuck in bootloop, without any interference on our side (my device was still on stock rom).
I tried returning them to stock via the toolkit (didn't work), manually using fastboot (didn't work), and eventually flashed both of them to 4.3 using Odin, with re-partitioning and the whole shebang.. Nada. One device was flashed using Odin 3.07, worked for about one hour, then started bootlooping again, the other device couldn't get flashed with 3.07 (got an error on system.img write) so I tried with Odin 1.87 which completed successfully, but once reset it was still somehow on Cyanogen and still bootlooping.
I've tried all the methods I'm familiar with, and several different stock roms. Tried switching the batteries, fully charging them, even flashing from different PCs.. To no avail. As far as I can see, the only explanation right now is that there's a hardware issue, somehow in both devices.
Will greatly appreciate any input from you guys as I'm pretty much at a loss here. :crying:
i would say its hardware but try flashing multiple roms idk why when stock fails or CM i got full on rom switching and it fixs my problems
Similar thing happened to me, I bought whole new batteries for my two phones and it fixed it. The batteries went REALLY bad.
So i get some random reboots, then my phone started to freezing like 2-3 mins after reboot and going back to normal work only after reboot so i decided to flash new rom. When i try to wipe data/dalavik or whatever it keeps rebooting without doing anything. Any ideas?
@edit I flashed new rom from sammobile , only emergency calls , what should i flash now guys? i got AP ending with OB1 and i can't flash MJ5 bootloader
Copy all your valuable data, it might be SDS. Flash modem and bpotloader from androidwizard thread in android development section or restore EFS

Did you try to repartition your phone?
No i didnt... I was on some custom rom.. Running fine with no issues and i thought to go back to stock. So i flash stock rom in BL option in odin, instead of PDA. I guess since then everything start going wrong. Also i flash CWM in BL instead of PDA in odin. Then i tried many roms i doesn't fix issue. I tried to flash full stock rom with BL,PDA,CSC,PHONE in odin it doesn't fix. Now if partition is issue how can o check or fix or reset it. Its ext4 this time as shown while i flash rom in CWM.
Same thing happening with me also...I was on LOS 7.1.2 and it all started there.
I have an S9 (g960f), and whenever I try to add or update Magisk to root my phone, I get a bootloop.
I have already re-installed the stock OS three times.
Need more info, exact steps taken, files used, versions, OEM unlock enabled etc etc, we're not psychic
Install INS-G960FXX1ARD1-20180426085800 (phone from India) have to load it several times because even though Odin (3.12) says passed, nothing went through to phone.
Boot into TWRP.
Wipe DATA
Go back to reboot screen "no os installed". (rinse/repeat.)
I DID get the phone up and running with Magisk 16.3, and while looking at the program, it told me to update Magisk, so I did........
BOOTLOOP. So I wipe the phone and spend hours starting again....

Can't use 3.12 for Oreo, leave it alone while not responding, let it recover, it usually freezes for a few mins for AP
Was freezing (and then recovering after a while) for csc too.
was leaving it alone, nice to know that I did the right thing, thanks!
(a minute or so for CSC.. SEVERAL minutes for AP)
Yep, depends on the speed of your PC too, on my main PC is was a lot faster than my laptop
AP is the largest part so takes the longest to extract or whatever it's doing
My main computer runs LINUX, (NO, I won't use Heimdal).
Have a windoze laptop specifically to run Odin.
