Hey all, I have Oneplus 3 rooted and running stock rom. When I connect it to my Chromebook the only thing I have access to are the driver files, none of which are useful for chromebook. The same problem occurs when I flip over to Linux on the Chromebook. I have installed adb on the Linux side and had no trouble rooting the phone. But how do I access the phone's file system??
Thanks

Hi,
I have an HTC One X which is in a soft bricked state, it boots but has no ROM on it. I was going to flash a new ROM by using adb push, but for some reason the phone is not fully recognized as ADB. When I connect it it is recognized as "Other Devices->One" and ADB does not recognize any connected devices.
I've installed HTC Sync, the universal ADB drivers, all don't work.
My PC has Windows 8.1 64-bit.
Now I can't use the phone as I have no means to push the .zip files to it.
Problem solved by using Ubuntu 14.10 which detected my phone perfectly. It was very easy to install ADB and fastboot on it and I didn't even need ADB, Ubuntu detected my phone as a removable device and I just copied the zips.
An example why Linux can be better than Windows.

I love it when people take the time and post how they solved the problem themselves, in case anybody else in the future has the same issues. Kudos to you! :good:

Edit- Found the solution. Seems you have to use the USB-C cable that comes with the phone. And after market one (at least the one that I have) won't work.

Hey guys,
I'm facing a problem: my W10 PC won't install the phone's usb drivers at all. It stay with the yellow sign and can't find the drivers anywhere - not even through Win Update.
I searched for them everywhere I could and without any positive results.
Do you know or have the USB drivers for this phone so I can install them manually?
On my laptop, there are no problems and I tried exporting all the drivers installed on the laptop and load them onto the PC but didn't find any driver so the PC could extract them. I can't access my internals on my PC cause of this.
Anyone?
Thanks in advance.
Solved: Apparently, Windows 10 Home Ed. is not capable of installing any kind of USB drivers (MPT, file transfer, fastboot, USB-debugging - nothing worked) for the device but re-installing with the Windows 10 Pro version, the phone got detected instantly and fully without any problems. Razer CC wasn't helpful at all, this time.
Greetings
I followed all sorts of online tutorials including driver downloads for windows 8 AND edits of files in linux
It only seemed to work a VERY SHORT while in linux mint! It showed up in ADB and on my file manager
Then mysteriously, for no reason I can see, doesn't connect anymore?
I tried all sorts of things
I am trying to at least root this device!
Any idea how I can do this reliably and to establish secure reliable connection on linux since that seems to be the only OS I can use to reliably connect to this device, at least, in the beginning?
Found the problem was the USB cable
I used another and it connected
What a crazy world
