Leaked News:
$109.99 is quite a low price for a metal-body 3GB-RAM device plus flip cover and tempered glass, while Ulefone Metal even offers a fingerprint scanner which is popular among mid-high range devices.
Located on the rear side of Ulefone Metal, the fingerprint scanner supports the recognition of at most 5 fingerprint IDs, and each one can be programmed to access home screen or any app. Also, any finger ID can be set as camera shutter during photography. The flip cover function has also been optimized for convenient use of touch ID. If you have set up finger lock, you can unlock either before or after you open the flip cover. In the competition against iPhone 6s and VIVO Xplay 5, Ulefone Metal has given a quite responsive performance, according to Ulefone’s latest video.
Being a 5-inch HD device, the Ulefone Metal packs an MT6753 8-core 64-bit chipset, Sony IMX149 Camera and 3050mAh battery. Its pre-sale promotion will last until August 7 and shipping will start just before that.
Disclaimer: I do not own this device, do not ask me support question because i won't be able to reply you.
3GB-RAM Ulefone Metal Claims Longer Duration than iPhone 6s
Being a 5-inch HD device, Ulefone Metal packs a li-polymer battery with 3050mAh capacity that is supposed to last 1.5 days of normal use. Today Ulefone released a test on YouTube with iPhone 6s in comparison.
Video available on the Official Ulefone YT Page: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4ft7RJ1lPpQq9zcwSi7LNg
During 30-minute playback of online HD videos, Ulefone Metal drained from 75% to 67%, indicating that you can watch online video or play games on the device for 6 consecutive hours. And Ulefone believe this test is enough to testify their promise of 1-day heavy use or 1.5-day normal use. On the other hand, iPhone 6s has drained from 60% to 51% in the same test, falling a bit behind the Ulefone device.
Ulefone Metal is now presold for $109.99 (Company's Official Price) with flip case and tempered glass as free gifts. Its specs include MT6753 8-core 64-bit chipset, 5-inch HD display, Sony IMX149 camera, and fingerprint scanner.
Ulefone “Explores” their Ulefone Metal with Electric Saw
To make their videos catch more eyeballs, Ulefone published a violent test video about their 5-inch 3GB-RAM device Ulefone Metal tortured by an electric saw.
The electric saw totally cut eight deep notches into the edge of the display while the Corning Gorilla glass didn’t crack too bad. And even though the backlight has been leaked from the notches, the touch screen was still functioning somehow. Ulefone staff also cut the metal unibody of the phone to prove it is actually metallic. With such a test, the company want to indicate the Metal will have no problem with normal hitting or abrasion.

Ulefone starts supplying their 5-inch device Ulefone Metal to retailers today and will fulfill all the preorders in the week ending August 13.
Ulefone started the presale of the Metal from July 23. So far about 50,000 units have been pre-ordered thanks to the sweet price. Since the device does not involve too complex techniques, there won’t be delay in shipping. The pre-sale will end on August 8 when price will be raised, so not too much time is left for you to deciding whether or not to buy.
Ulefone Drills 12 Holes on Ulefone Metal
After torturing Ulefone Metal with electric saw, Ulefone made another violent test where another Ulefone Metal saw its screen destroyed by an electric drill.
The drill totally made 12 holes on the screen until we see the backlight of LCD leak out. But before that both display and touch screen kept functioning even when they were already destroyed very bad. And at the very beginning, it seemed very hard for Ulefone staff to make a breach on the glass while it is easy to get through wood. From the test we see how solid the Corning Gorilla glass nowadays have become.

By the way, Ulefone is having a giveaway on their Facebook where you may get a chance to win a free Ulefone Metal.

Ulefone Shows Off Ulefone Metal GPS Performance
GPS has been one of the most frequently applied components on mobiles phones. Will it perform well on Ulefone Metal since metal unibody is known for shielding effect against signals? Ulefone says no problem.
They say the upper and lower part of the phone unibody are actually made from plastic and it is exactly where radio antennas are located, so theoretically there won’t be problem here. In the latest video by Ulefone, their staff has driven a car in the city of Shenzhen with Google Maps opened on Ulefone Metal. Seems their positions have been precisely shown on the map even under the exchange.

Ulefone Introduces Ulefone Metal Software Features
5-inch 3GB device Ulefone Metal has been equipped with good hardware for its price and Ulefone wants to say they have also shed some sweat on the software.
Today Ulefone released a long video to show all the software tweaks they believe special on the Ulefone Metal. Ulefone Metal will offer GUI in settings app and there is a float window for quick access to frequently visited apps, float video player, and screenshot tool. Something interesting is that the phone has offered dozens of font styles for users to choose as systematic calligraphy. Other features include air and off-screen gestures, somatosensory functions, sound Enhancement, and voice shutter. Besides, Ulefone has also allowed users to calibrate the gravity, proximity sensors and e-compass.
Video available on the Official Ulefone YT Page: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4f...PpQq9zcwSi7LNg
Ulefone Metal will have an A-rank Display
Ulefone says that their 5-inch 3GB device Ulefone Metal will be equipped with A-rank displays made by their suppliers, indicating that the HD display will have sound performance.
Ulefone reveals that displays from the same fabricator, with the same size and resolution, can be remarkably different from each other. And display makers will categorize them into four ranks from A to D on the basis of quality, while the prices for A and D-rank displays can have huge gap. That partly tells why many phone makers can offer high specs for crazy low price. But Ulefone claims they have equipped the Metal with top-rank displays since their strategy is not to make low quality products for low price.

Just to let you know, the Ulefone Metal shares the same software used by the Ulefone Vienna, just with some minor changes so anything from the Vienna can be ported.
I don't know when I'll get the device, otherwise I would have already released a recovery for it.

Can Ulefone Metal Survive Boiling Water?
Though the 5-inch 3GB-RAM device Ulefone Metal does not feature IP68 water proof protection, Ulefone still say it is sealed well enough to resist ordinary flooding. And Ulefone has tried to demostrate it.
In the latest Ulefone video, some of their staff put the phone into a container and then filled the container with boiling water. After being immersed for a little while, the phone was taken out, and it just worked as normal as before. When your phone is flooded in real life, there is big chance that the water is hot, so the boiling water test is somewhat practical.
Touchscreen sensitivity
Hi,
does anyone else also have problems with the sensitivity of the touchscreen as well as the fingerprint sensor?
In many cases the touchscreen does not respond. When typing this is really annoying. (missing letters)
Besides this issue its a great phone. It seems like the touchscreen responds better, when the device is warm.
Best regards,
mischa
Anyone able to help.. I can't seem to get my SD card to fit???

The screen is 5 point touch, if your coming from a 10 point touch screen you might notice a difference. I recommend using SwiftKey.. Haven't had any issues with it. As far as fingerprint sensor.. It worked 1 in 3 times so I decided not to use it.. No big loss, I'm unable to locate where to put my SD card tho which is annoying...

Hi,
I also had problems to fit in the sd card at first, turning it by 90 degrees helped. At first it doesnt look like it fits, but then does.
And I am also using swiftkey, which worked gret on my previous phone. But now sometimes unusable..
This cannot be right. Sometimes it just doesnt react at all ad I have to tap three times in order to open an app.
Did you remove the already mounted foil? I let it on there, but very tepted to rip it of. Ulefone support told me to let it on...
With the fingerprint sensor its a little worse, it is recognized 1 out of 10 times. But this is not a real problem
Did you try a touch screen test app to make sure your Lcd doesn't have some problem areas?
Do you think you could show me a picture of how your SD card goes in? Don't really wanna risk jamming it in there..
Thanks
Ulefone Metal Teardown And Reassembly Video
Ulefone lately released a video to show how their 5-Inch 3GB-RAM device Ulefone Metal could be torn down and reassembled, indicating that the company is confident about their industrial design and manufacturing.
Even though the Ulefone Metal has a metal unibody, it’s quite easy to remove the back cover. And after remove a inner shell, we can see how the components of the phone are arranged. The motherboard, where the main hardware is gathered, has shown quite some decency in design while it does not look like it comes from a phone priced as low as Ulefone Metal. Besides, the sticking job has also been well done for good touch feel and enclosure, given that craftsmanship has been Ulefone’s conventional competitive edge. Ulefone believes that manufacturing strength has distinguished themselves from competitors.

It is powered by the MTK6755 2GHz octa-core 64-bit SoC, 4GB RAM plus 32GB storage. This will be Ulefone’s flagship device in 2016.

It is not out yet and there are no more information, but I'm definitely going to review it when it comes Rumours say that the "Elephone P9000" maybe will look similar as Ulefone and Elephone are working together on some models.
Nice phone! I am really looking forward to it.

I even heard they work together and yeah they both look beautiful <3 I can see that the OS on Ulefone Power looks the same as in the Elephone P9000. Stock Android with e few customizations But in benchmarks the processor looks weak, weaker than x10 on Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 hence even from MTK6752 in multi core so that's definitely a let down. If they just used x10 instead but they probably want to cut the price too as the competition is very high. We'll see how things will go.
Btw, I watch your videos on YT and you do amazing work so keep it up
I'd like to ask you based on the phones you've used/reviewed which one would you suggest more based on display, OS stability-speed-lag free and support, performance - gaming, camera, battery (I heard there are batteries that get weaker after only a few charges or maybe months i.e percents of batteries go down while screen off(have you faced such an issue ?) .. etc.
Eagerly waiting for this phone to get released. The build quality and the display are looking top notch from all the photos and videos you can find on the web.

It should come end March if everything goes well.....
Personnally, never liked the buttons on screen or one-button phones. It looks like a good phone, but not for me. I wish they build another version that have menu, back and home button not in the screen...
Anyone else thinking like me?
it is amazing, i like it. good design
It seems it will have a version with Helio X20 and 128 GB internal memory:
Ulefone Future will have Helio X20 128GB Version
Chinese brands are high on making devices with stunning specs since the beginning of 2016. Earlier we have Xiaomi, VIVO, and now Ulefone join in the rush saying their bezel-less device Ulefone Future will also a Helio X20 version with 128GB built-in storage.
Ulefone says the X20 Future will still be equipped with 4GB RAM because the chipset is not compatible with 6GB memory at all according to the MTK official information. Among other specs, the display will have a resolution of 2K and the back camera will adopt 20MP CMOS. Due to a shortage in supply of X20 chipset, the top-spec Future will be released later than the Helio P10 version.
In addition to the bezel-less Future, Ulefone will also launch a version with narrow bezels around display, also packing Helio P10 and 4GB RAM but offering lower camera resolution and smaller built-in storage. And of course this version will be a little cheaper.
Anyway, the normal version of Ulefone Future will be released in April with 16MP Samsung Camera, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 1080P display besides, Helio P10 and 4GB RAM.

I think I also would prefer hardware buttons because from what I can see in the video, the screen doesn't fill up the full phone frame, and the virtual, pop-up buttons look like a little too away from the bottom edge. It's weird.
I think a best bet is just to keep the traditional, stylish look such as from Be Touch 3 and Vienna. The virtual pop-up buttons could end up compromising the new design style and new features of the phone. My 2c.
According with Ulefone news, it will be on sale next week
Ulefone Announces Bezel-less Flagship Device Ulefone Future
If you have ever suspected that Ulefone Future is a just a bait the company use to keep the their brand awareness, you can be at ease now because we finally see the bezel-less device announced on the official page of Ulefone, who stresses the sale will begin next week.
Ulefone Future has all the specs that are supposed to come with a Ulefone flagship in the year of 2016. The octa-core 64-bit chipset Helio P10 is as fast as 2GHz; RAM and built-in storage are enlarged to 4GB and 32GB, respectively; and the 16MP Samsung S5K3P3 camera is expected to offer more details in photos with PDAF for fast focus as well as dual-tone flash to fill natural light in darkness.
The above specs only justify the Future’s existence in the high-end market, but it would be an average competitor if without the bezel-less display and side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The 5.5-inch 1080P display is said to offer limitless visual experience while sitting below the power button, the fingerprint scanner will be right next to your finger.
3000mAh battery capacity sounds mediocre this year but a flaghship is not supposed to be thick. Many brands’ solution to this dilemma is a high-power charger, while Ulefone is no exception. They will provide users of the Future with a 9V/2~3A charger to fill up its battery in 1 hour.
Another indicator for Ulefone Future being a flagship is its metal unibody, which claims to come from a whole piece of magnesium-aluminum ingot by CNC cutting. While preserving the natural texture of metal, the unibody will have solid structure to protect the screen from hitting.
For more, Ulefone Future will come with Android 6.0; the Cat 6 baseband will support 350Mbps mobile data speed if your local carrier can offer 4G at that level; gyro sensor is equipped for VR apps; and Type-C USB is adopted for reversible plug.
Ulefone Future measures 151.5 x 73.5 x 8.6mm in size and the weight is 185kg with battery built in. Thanks to the bezel-less design, the Future will be smaller than most 5.5-inch devices. And you will have 2 colors to choose, grey and golden.

Ulefone Future - Information & Reviews
Introduction
After their amazing DAC Smartphone at a low price, Ulefone has finally announced another amazing device that will be sold with sales starting from next week.
This is the Ulefone Future
Unlike their previous devices, this is their first flagship featuring a Mediatek Helio P10 CPU, 4GBs of RAM with 32GB of ROM, an excellent 16MP Samsung S5K3P3 Camera supported by PDAF auto-focus and a dual-tone flash configuration, a 4G Cat. 6 Modem and a Gyroscope Sensor. Pretty nice considering that no other Ulefone device was made with so much high-end hardware.
Even if some previous leaks said that it would have a 2K Display, this isn't true. It will have a 1080p 5.5" Display (bezel-less)
Similar to some Sony Xperia devices, the Ulefone Future will have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a pretty particular feature that makes this device different than others.
There are no dimensions known yet, but it is said to be absolutely thick and this is why its battery is just 3000mAh. It doesn't mean that this is too low, because the included hardware doesn't require so much power. Supported by MTK Pump Express Quick Charge technology, it will be able to be recharged in more or less 1 hour.
Almost all Chinese companies are now focusing their attention on the chassis, and this device will have a Metal Chassis (with CNC treatment) that makes the device much more ergonomic and reduces the risk to break it much easier than standard treatment.
Mediatek provided the Helio P10 CPU only starting with Android 6.0, so the Ulefone Future will have the latest release of Android.
Other details coming soon

Other specs of the Future include Helio P10 8-core 64-bit 2GHz chipset, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, metal unibody, 32GB storage, 16MP Samsung S5K3P3 camera with PDAF and dual-tone flash, 3000mAh battery, 9V/2~3A fast charger, Type-C USB, and gyro sensor.

More information about the battery
Ulefone Future Recharge and Drainage Test
Ulefone Future has 3000mAh battery which is only passable in the year of 2016, since a flagship is not supposed to be thick. As compensation, a 9V/2~3A fast charger will come in the package to fill up the battery in 1 hour.
In a latest battery test, Ulefone staff managed to charge Ulefone Futre from 21% to 76% in half an hour with the phone turned on, indicating that a singe charge will cost less than 1 hour. And playing online HD video for 30 minutes, the battery drained from 100% to 91%. If this has authentically reflected real life, one-day normal use should be out of problem.
In addition, Ulefone Future will share the same Pump Express Plus charger with the mammoth battery device Ulefone Power. And as always, Ulefone claims the Future has packed a Sony li-polymer battery.

So it has provided you with the nice choices for men and women. It sports by 6inch 2.5D FHD Corning Gorilla Glass screen, and the dimensions of this phone are 158.6×82.8×8.5 mm. Because of large battery, the overall weight has 240.9 grams. But that’s ok for me.
What’s more, you can see the front camera, light sensor, the speaker, LED notification light on the front side above the display.
There are 3.5mm Headphone jack and IR port on the top of the smartphone for TVs, home appliances, etc.On the back side of the phone, there are fingerprint sensor and 13MP camera with dual LED flash. In the center of the back, there is a Leagoo logo and, below the removable cover, there is a speaker grill.
The power button and volume up and down buttons are placed on the right side of the phone. You can see there is a micro card slot, and the micro USB port is located in the bottom right side.
Made by LG, display on this phone breaks the 5.7″ boundary, featuring 6″. Manufactured in LTPS technology, this 6-inch full HD “monster” will provide 30% more brightness than a standard LCD and, it will reduce power consumption by 20%.
By the way, 6 inch FHD Corning Gorilla screen provides you with nice viewing angles and superb contrast. You can use your smartphone freely during sunlight and moonlight.
In conclusion, Leagoo shark 1 has a great design in terms of its appearance. So i believe 6inch smartphone will meet your nice needs.
Hardware
Leagoo Shark 1 is equipped with Mediatek’s 64bit Octa core processor and 1.3Ghz main frequency. It is also built in RAM 3GB ROM 16GB internal storage. Of course it can be expanded to 64GB via a micro SD card.
as a flaw, but when you need more room, you can always expand it with additional 64GB via micro SD card.
Therefore, you can enjoy the latest 3D games, movies, tv plays, etc. And here is the antutu benchmark screenshot result.
Hope it will be helpful for you to know more about this Leagoo shark 1.
You can see there is 31406 Antutu scores. It can beat most Xiaomi Smartphone. There is no problem to play the 3D games, watch tv without limits and stopping.
Camera
Leagoo Shark 1 has Sony 13MP BSI-2 sensor camera for the back camera, and 5MP camera for the selfies, or front camera. Of course, you can do the HD video calls by the front camera.
The front 5MP camera can offer five lenses and large f2.0 aperture.
Here are the details about the images as example you can see. And you can feel that the dual camera have taken the nice pictures clearly and crisply with the help of dual-tone LED flash. images look natural when shot in the dark and you don’t get those too bright photos. Front facing camera is very good as well.
Here are the pictures as examples:
Operating System
Leagoo Shark 1 runs Android5.1 Lollipop OS which has a flat interface which looks very professional. Of course, you can download the latest apps or games in the google play store. And it didn’t support OTA updated to Android6.0 Marshmellow OS.
Connectivity
Leagoo Shark 1 has dual SIM card, dual standby support which can let you enjoy 4G, 3G network freely. It can also support bluebooth 4.0 port. You can transfer the data with others.
Shark 1 has dual SIM, dual standby support which is excellent because many people have a personal SIM card and the other one for work. The device is 4G LTE network supported, and it has good signal strength. What’s more, it can support hotspot to share the data with others. But there is a flaw that it doesn’t support NFC function.
Battery
Leagoo shark 1 supports 6,300mAh battery. And the smartphone can last at least 72 hours for general using and you can watch online videos for 25 hours straight and listen to music over 49 hours.
It is simply amazing, and it is not even the best part of it. The best part would be its rapid charge LGQC v3.0 technology. It charges the phone in 3 hours (considering its massive battery, this is quite a feat) and you can use the device for a day after you charged it for only an hour.
Other features:
Leagoo Shark 1 supports various sensor like gravity, motion sensor, GPS, compass, GLONASS, Galileo, and Beidou, etc. So it’s very useful for you to make the position. You will never lost yourself in the strange place.
Leagoo shark 1 also has a fingerprint sensor, and it supports to unlock in 0.39 seconds which is very responsive and quite useful. it’s manageable.Shark 1 uses AWINiC K6 amplifier and offers pleasant and loud sound over the earphones and speaker.
In conclusion
Leagoo Shark 1 has nice design, large 6,300mAh battery, good quality, fingerprint ID, 64bit 4G LTE processor. But others think it’s too large in terms of the display, and it doesn’t support NFC, 4k video, therefore, in your opinion, Leagoo Shark 1 will your nice or first choice? Which aspect do you like best?
It looks like a bigger Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, which is a good thing imho. Hopefully battery life will be great with those 6300mAh.
I'm really glad that the manufactures are starting to realize that we need bigger batteries! Looking forward for this device though

i'm only disappointed on shark fingerprint feature.. .after a Factory Reset fingerprint app goes in Force Close . .and no luck flashing firmware again or other things (only old rom december fix, but that rom was worst and buggy (camera, flash, lags, setting menus..)
I hope for a software update to fix!
Which one is better between Shark 1 and Oukitel K10000? I love to get one
Thanks for your advice. I will go for Oukitel K10000. Does Oukitel K10000 has freezing or hanging issue?

If battery life is the most important thing to you, then get the K10000. It also has a very bright display. I've seen somewhere that Leagoo Shark 1 scores around 10-11 hours in PCMark Battery test while K10000 scores 29 hours. You can find reviews for both the devices at devicespecifications.com

Is Oukitel K10000 free from freezing or hanging ROM ? How smooth or fast is its ROM ? Most China made phones are plagued with freezing or hanging issue.
Dual stand by with MicroSD
Can I use 2 SIM cards with memory card together on Leagoo shark or there is same "problem" like on Oukitel K10000?
Can you please share the wallpapers found in this device? thanks.

Hang on FumiJ, i'm confused. In your 'real pictures' of the Leagoo shark, the bezel/border is waaaaay thicker than in any other photos i've seen, or the photos posted in this initial thread. It looks like a completely different phone. I can't get a straight answer out of leagoo about what the phone actually looks like. Are you sure these photos are of the same phone/version?

Hi,
I also bought one, But mine has a little bit trouble with focusing while taking a picture.
It is working fine while shooting a video, but whenever i try to take a picture, most of the time the picture gets a focusing issue (resulting in too much or too less light).

News about Ulefone Vienna, formerly Alpha, has been around for half a year and now Ulefone has finally announced all its information on their official website. But what kind of a phone has taken the company so long to make?
What tops Ulefone Vienna is no doubt the independent HiFi chipset named NXP Smart Audio PA which packs both DAC and operational amplifier. The audio system of the Vienna has a frequency response range from 20Hz to 20KHz, covering all the sound frequencies hearable to human ears. The 109db high SNR and <0.01% low THD are said to make sure users will get the pure music experience.
Among the mains specs, Ulefone Vienna is equipped with an 5.5-inch 1080P LTPS display from Sharp and a 32GB built-in storage for flawless music files (and apps too). Other specs include an MT6753 8-core 64-bit chipset, 3GB LPDDR3 RAM, 13MP Panasonic MN34150 camera with dual flash, and a 3250mAh Sony li-polymer battery.
Ulefone Vienna’s fingerprint scanner implementation supports the registration of five different fingerprints; a physical key under the power button can be used to start the camera and voice recorder apps; also, the IR Blaster enables to control home appliances with remote control apps.
Design-wise, Ulefone Vienna has a 2.5D glass on the front side, while the unified frame and back cover can’t be removed. SIM card and MicroSD has to be put on a side-inserted tray on the left edge and on the right edge, volume up and down buttons are divided.
Measuring 153.5 x 77.85 x 8.6mm, Ulefone Vienna weights 156g. It is offered in 4 colors: grey, white, black and pink.
Ulefone Vienna has been the only model featuring HiFi among small brands, also a good sign that we may begin to enjoy high quality audio at lower price.

Ulefone compares Ulefone Vienna with Vivo X5 Max Speakers
Ulefone Vienna has been hyped with the label of HiFi, but what level it has reached? A comparison with a well-known HiFi device will best answer the question.
Ulefone has released a video where the Vienna is shown together with the Vivo X5 Max for the loudspeaker test. By playing the same piece of violin sonata, the Vienna and X5 Max has given out different styles of sound which we can easily distinguish. Ulefone say they have tried to make Vienna have a young and passionate voice while the final sound will be much milder than what the prototype delivers.
Ulefone have also shown the Vienna’s BOX sound chamber, which is a little bigger than the sound chamber in ordinary budget phones. In the mean time, the company stresses that the built-in phone speaker can hardly fulfill the capacity of the Smart Audio PA processor.
Soon the company will release another test video on YouTube to show how the Vienna’s sound performs using some professional audio equipment.

It depends on how much space do you need, for the price you can't get higher internal storage. MicroSD slot is here though.

Guys the device is almost ready to be sold to public, there are only some software adjustments that has to be made before release. I'll keep you updated.

>Thank you, I think that you work for Ulefone or you know very well someone inside Ulefone because you have this kind of news.
If from one side is good to know that they are still working on software bugs trying to solve them, from the other side it's a little bit strange that they are still doing this 5 days before shipping time... it can mean that they are late with work...
That sounds me strange... I was intended to buy this phone but I think I will wait for some reviews from some real users.. I don't think that the price will be much higher that 169$ even after the presale end (12 april)... In just a couple of month we will find many products with better hardware at the same price.. And I'm thinking most of all to the SOC MTK6753 that in my opinion is a little old compared to the "high quality" of the rest of the VIenna configuration.

Even Google Nexus devices aren't completely bug-free when they are released, so this is a pretty common behavior.
Ey Guys. Ulefone has published today an article with Ulefone Vienna GPS Test. I let you it here:
Audio Centric Ulefone Vienna Official GPS Test
Since Ulefone Vienna samples are not available presently, we only have official reviews to judge how it runs. Today Ulefone releases a video to show the device’s performance in navigation.
The test lasted about 15 minutes when the Ulefone staff had a drive in Shenzhen City with GPS and Google Map opened on the Vienna. The whole process was shown by the video without cut, except that the original sound was silenced for background music. Since Ulefone Power, Ulefone has been bold in releasing uncut reviewing videos to show their confidence in products. They have made 3-hour battery test for the Power while it is proved authentic.
Ulefone Vienna presales promotion ends today but you can still get it for USD169.99 from some of Ulefone’s retail partners, given the device has independent audio chipset, Sharp FHD display, 32GB storage besides, MTK6753, 3GB LPDDR3 RAM, and 13MP Panasonic camera.

Water-Proof Test of the DOOGEE T5
DOOGEE T5 is the world’s first smartphone that combines the DIY style with 3-proofing. The Rugged Nature and Exchangeable Style, makes you have more choices basing on the environment's appearance and style.
They made a water-proof test (IP67 protection). If it resists, it means surviving in the harsh outdoor environment is not a problem.
Website: http://www.doogee.cc
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/doogee.cc
Twitter: https://twitter.com/DOOGEE_official
Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/doogee_official
IP67 Protection, what does it mean?
DOOGEE has labeled the T5 with IP67 Certification so to understand its level of water resistance we need to check what IP67 certification means. The certification system is administered by the International Electrotechnical Commission and can be broken down as follows:
IP stands for Ingress Protection
- The first digit is on a scale of 0 to 6 and represents the level of dust protection the device offers (higher numbers are better)
- The second digit is on a scale of 0 to 9 and represents the level of water protection the device offers (higher numbers are better)
Based on this scale (and according to the IEC), the DOOGEE T5 should offer full dust protection and water protection when submerged in up to 1 meter of water for a 30 minute duration.
Considering its Rugged design, i would expect even better protection from this smartphone, but is has been certified as IP67 so any other test that doesn't meet this spec. then it would be at your own risk.
Also, for those who are interested, the DG700 (practically the device on which the T5 is based on) is now even more discounted than before (because its successor is near the door), but this is a limit offer until this weekend.
The DOOGEE T5 is kind of upgraded version of the DG700, which also combined the 3-proofing with the similar luxury appearance. The back cover has two choices, the crocodile texture calfskin and lambskin.
This is the DOOGEE DG700 thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/doogee-titans-2-dg700-unboxing-hands-t2953664
If you can’t wait for the T5, you can buy a DG700 first because that's still a good device that shares many features.
Giveaway from DOOGEE!
https://www.facebook.com/doogee.cc/posts/992293610883459
DOOGEE is waiting for your creative slogan for T5. The slogan can be humorous or poetic, but brief. They will giveaway 3 different gifts (one is the T5).
Follow the FB link and write your slogan
Time Limit: July 29 - August 14 (2016 of course)
Finally it is Official!
The DOOGEE T5 will be launched on the 15th of August on DOOGEE's Official Website, where there will be a voting activity with the theme "The businessport phone, which style would you like?". Anyone can vote by choosing the Business T5 or the Sporty T5.
As a first round, it will be available on all official licensed stores, that can be found on the DOOGEE's website, then it will be also available on eBay & Amazon starting from mid-September.
Features:
Dual Style & IP67
The DOOGEE T5 is the world's first phone that combines dual appearance with IP67. It provides two appearances to be changed in seconds, and the relevant UI as well. Reaching IP67 rate, it means that it proofs water, dust and pressure.
13Mpix with PDAF, a Flagship Camera
Normal tri-proof phones do not perform well as regards photo quality, except the DOOGEE T5. 13Mpix Samsung Rear Camera with PDAF and 5Mpix Front Camera offer an outstanding shooting experience.
Comparison between DG700 & T5:
The DOOGEE T5 is a kind of upgraded version of the DG700. Compared to the quad-core CPU used in the DG700, the 8x 64-bit ARM Cortex-A53 processors of the T5 highly increases the performance.
The DG700 has 5Mpix front camera and 8Mpix rear camera, while the T5 has 5Mpix front camera and 13Mpix rear camera with PDAF.
Compared with the 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM of the DG700, the T5 has 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM, and the 32GB ROM memory can be expanded up to 64GB. You can keep all your stuff.
Last, but not least, compared with the 4000mAh battery of the DG700, the T5 has 4500mAh battery and 5V/2A fast charge.

Notification LED?!
Does this phone have a notification LED?
I've been asking in different forums and even the licensed reseller stores, I still don't have an answer! ... It's still a pre-order item.
I held off buying the Blackview BV6000 because of this issue, no notification LED, how can a manufacturer miss this small, yet purposely vital feature?!

I mean, check that video, they are showing you the Settings Menu after they take the device from Water (i remember that), so check if in that menu there is any kind of indication to the Notification Light or something similar. (unfortunately there isn't a specific menu name, MTK devices are a bit weird about this)
My reply wasn't too clear, but it wasn't neither so hard to understand...someone needs to calm down it seems...
Development & Support thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/doogee-t5-development-support-t3445982
Doogee released a video of production process for T5:
Probably the best spec of this T5 is the IP67 certification and shock proof integrated frame/case:
I got the device some days ago and yeah it is pretty good.
The chassis is pretty well made, Android works extremely smooth and I haven't faced any issue yet with it. Only the back cover management isn't perfect (if you change the cover/style, the UI theme gets automatically changed, but not always).
As usual, I'll provide you a review of the device soon.
Introduction
This is the businessport DOOGEE T5 Review.
Hardware
This device is powered by a Mediatek MT6753 SOC clocked at 1.3GHz, with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM. It shares the same classic Rear Camera sensor used by the Redmi 3 Pro (13MP Samsung S5K3L8 with PDAF) while the Front Camera sensor is a 5MP OmniVision OV5648. The manufacturer of the Screen isn't known yet, but it is pretty good and super bright. Follow my next paragraphs to know more.
Unboxing
Packaging comes with an huge amount of accessories, including 2 different back covers and frames for Dual Appearance: 1x Plastic Screen Protector, 1x OTG Cable, 1x SIM/MicroSD tray Eject Tool, 1x Micro-USB Cable, 1x 5V/2A USB Charger, 1x Quick Start Guide, and the Smartphone (of course).
As already said before, you will find 2 appearances in order to customize your Device's Style depending on the environment (or the tastes why not). I'll talk about this in one of the next paragraph.
The device has a Rugged Chassis, that mixes Metal, Plastic and Rubber for the best protection possible. Do not forget that this is IP67 Certified, so you can have fun with it without having to worry about its, and probably yours too, safety.
It feels super solid, the best made device i have ever tried as regards build quality. As certified by DOOGEE, and following IP67 protection, it is water-proof (up to 1 meter), dust-proof and pressure-proof. Let's say it, it is also kid-proof haha.
Being a rugged device you can't expect compact sizes, but it is lighter than another device i have tried some months ago that wasn't rugged (CUBOT H2), so DOOGEE did a great job as regards its build quality.
It is 15.37x7.84x1.37mm (using the Sporty Cover, because that's what i like most) and it weights 223g, again not too much considering that it is rugged.
On the front side there is the Standard Display, no 2.5D or anything similar, with big bezels. The upper front side of the device features a Front-Facing Camera, an Earpiece with a nice Silver Frame, and the Sensors hole that includes Light, Proximity and Gesture Sensors. No Notification LED is here unfortunately.
On the lower front side there is only the Soft Keys zone, with Menu, Home and Back buttons. As you might notice, on the upper & lower areas of the device there is a Glossy Finiture, that's the block where the ports are hidden just behind.
On the back side it's where the magic happens. Dual Back Covers, and everytime you change the back cover also the UI gets automatically changed. (basically an automatic theme switch)
The upper rear side of the device features the Samsung Camera Sensor supported by a Single (the Quick Start guide says Dual, but i can only see one) Rounded Flash (Single-Tone) configuration, and nothing else.
The lower rear side of the device features the huge speaker hole, that allows the huge internal speaker to output audio at maximum volume.
Device
DIY Instructions/Demostration (T5 Exclusive!)
So, if you are one of my followers you might have noticed this neverseen paragragh in this review. This device explains why. Being the only one that allows you to change between two styles, i thought that a demostration or anything else about it might be interesting for you all.
Starting from the Screwdriver required to handle the whole process, just imagine which type you need. Yes, a T5 Screwdriver haha.
Anyway, as regards the screws there are two used types, with different size. The longest type is used only with the Sporty sides, while the standard/shorter type is used with the Business sides.
My recommendation is to not use the Screwdriver provided in the package, because it isn't good and i managed to destroy it with just a few usages. This is the only negative aspect i have noticed about the kit.
Use your own Screwdriver, and it will provide you best results without having to worry about its safety.
As you might probably think, is it possible to mix the styles? My reply is: YES! This is what a did to my T5. Business Sides with Sporty Back Cover, providing best protection while leaving the sporty design.
If you want to know more info about this paragraph, just leave here a post and i will reply you.
Screen
The screen is pretty good, super bright but there is a small (barely noticeable) backlight bleeding on the left corner.
Light Sensor works pretty well and it supports smooth light changes. This is the maximum screen brightness.
Viewing Angles are perfect, comparable to an AMOLED screen. (excluding the IPS limitations)
Camera
Rear Camera is a pretty good Samsung ISOCELL, so it provides some nice quality photos on almost every condition. More photos (such as outdoor ones) coming soon, i have a cold right now...
Flashlight isn't perfect, but it is pretty powerful. As you can see, it is a just a bit under-positioned compared to the Camera Sensor. It might be an engineering sample issue maybe, i don't know.
As regards Video Recording, 1080p videos (Video Quality – Fine) are recorded with an high level of details, just remember that there is no OIS so you can’t expect stable videos.
Front Camera records decent photos, and it seems to be a wide-angle variant. Selfie-lovers will appreciate it.
Audio
Speaker is how nearly as good as you would expect from a rugged device. Decently-Loud! Well it lacks low-frequencies a bit, it is slightly muffled maybe due to its waterproof protection but its volume is high.
In-Call Quality is near-excellent, finally an earpiece where there isn't the usual low-clarity sound. Loud (maybe also a bit too much), and with good clarity.
As regards the Microphone, it works decently well in any case (in-call, VOIP, etc...).
The Audio Department has been accurately enough designed, so i thank DOOGEE for taking care about this.
Telephony, Mobile Network & WiFi
Thanks to the 4G Band 20 support (some other Chinese Smartphones don’t have it), I’m almost always and everywhere connected to the 4G Network of my Mobile Network Provider (TIM Italy).
Also 3G Signal Reception is accurate, even though some 3G frequencies are missing, maybe my engineering sample will get other frequencies with an update, who knows.
4G Network Speed is pretty good, it highly depends on your Mobile Operator and mine isn’t pretty good. While 3G Network Speed, is just fine as it should.
WiFi 5GHz isn't supported here, so only 2.4GHz WiFi speed can be tested. I managed to get connected to my network connection at 65mbps, and Speed Tests reached more or less 41mbps.
Battery Life (do not rely on my test)
I have measured the real battery capacity using my USB Tester, and its capacity is a bit lower than declared. Declared 4500mAh, Real ~4310mAh. (190mAh missing, nothing serious).
The Geekbench Battery Test provided some nice results, and the software used on my device isn't 100% ready-to-use so will probably get even better with next updates.
https://browser.primatelabs.com/battery3/383660
Software
The Software is completely clean, with an almost complete Nexus-like experience. As all latest devices, it is running Android 6.0 Marshmallow with some minor customizations and some extra-apps installed such as "Bagan Keyboard", "Xender", "Documents to Go" and "Parallel Space". Don't worry though, they can be disabled.
As every DOOGEE device, also this one has the usual Settings App with Black Background. Also, following other Mediatek devices, Gestures are here.
The Theme Management is easy to use, just go to the Wallpaper Chooser and you will be redirected to the Themes app. Useful if you want to switch between the Business & Sporty UIs without having to worry about the installed back cover.
Also, there is a Magnetometer/Compass here, but lacks a Gyroscope & Barometer.
There isn't anything else special about the software. It runs super smooth thanks to its HD-Only display, always responsive and there are always more than 2 GB of Free RAM on idle.
Benchmarks
I have used 3DMark, AndroBench, Antutu Benchmark, Epic Citadel, GeekBench 3, GFXBench, PCMark (Work & Storage) and Vellamo to stress the device to the limit. I won’t test Games or Video Playback because there are already some related tests included in these Benchmark suites.
3DMark – GPU Performance is better than other MT6753 devices, but still low on OpenGL 3.0 & 3.1 tests. You can’t expect something better, this is still a mid-range GPU.
Other 3DMark tests can be found on my Imgur album linked at the bottom of the thread.
AndroBench – eMMC Performance is good, especially as regards Reading Speed. Writing Speed isn’t as good as other devices though, maybe it requires a little software update, anyway still high enough to handle almost every task.
Antutu Benchmark – I won’t say a lot about this benchmark, this isn’t as reliable as others. I’m providing this just for benchmarks lovers.
Epic Citadel – As you can see, 3D performance is pretty high. 3D Games will run with no issues at all.
GeekBench – CPU Performance is nearly as good as other CPUs with the same configuration (8x Cortex-A53), enough to handle almost every type of activity.
PCMark – As you can see, only Writing score is a bit low compared to other scores. Pretty good.
Work
Storage
Even if this device is still running a not-so-new MT6753 CPU, it still performs well and the HD-Only screen helps the GPU to provide best performance everywhere. As i always say, with an MT6753 the HD-Only display works best.
Conclusions
DOOGEE did a great job with this device, probably the only Rugged device that doesn't have an ugly chassis or anything bad. Together with the DIY fun, it confirms that it is also a different device than others. It provides nice performance, great screen quality and a good camera creating a good combination of aspects.
I might have expected a better CPU, but it would have increased its price so it is good as is. Cheap enough, solid and fun.
So, do I recommend it? If you are searching for a Rugged Device, or for a different device that everyone can notice being unique, then Yes! Of course if you are searching for a slim or anything else, then this isn't for you.
Pros:
Super-Bright Screen
Solid and Well-Made
IP67 Certified
Compass/Magnetometer Sensor
DIY Style with 2 Appearances
Nice Camera Quality
Smooth and Lightweight Android OS
RUGGED!
Cons:
Flashlight is a bit under-positioned
Speaker Output is a bit muffled
No Gyroscope & Barometer
No WiFi 5GHz Support

DOOGEE T5 Lite - Lite version of the T5 is coming, at the official price of 100USD
All the features of T5 Lite are same of the T5 that DOOGEE launched on 15th August.
T5 and T5 lite allow users to enjoy DIY fun as their main feature on both device is the dual-appearance. One of the appearance features a crocodile textured back cover and the other one is a sporty PolyCarbonate back cover. Further more, their inner UI automatically changes while the outer shell are replaced.
Although T5 Lite will be sold at only 100USD (Official Price), half of the T5 Price, it still provides the cool and useful IP67 certification, which means that it can proof water, dust and pressure.
The main differences between the models are in the processor, memory and camera departments. The T5 Lite is Quad-Core (maybe MT6735?) with 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM, 5Mpix OmniVision front camera, 8Mpix SONY IMX219 rear camera. Everything else is exactly the same as on the T5.
So, for those for are not searching for such high performance of the T5, a cheaper Lite version will be great.
it is 5.0 Inch,I like big screen, I like VKworld T1 Plus ,The 6-inch JDI LTPS display brings unlimited viewing experience, vivid color, wide viewing angle.

Leaked News:
OUKITEL is starting to work on a new smartphone named C5 Pro with proper screen protection and all-metal frame.
Here you can see the first rendering of the C5 Pro. The texture printed back cover and the all-metal frame are pretty noticeable. The texture printed back requires more complicated procedure than any other battery covers. Also, the OUKITEL's factory, will do one more extra process to make the texture's print more clear and anti-abrasive. The all-metal frame is CNC crafted to make it more comfortable to handle.
The C5 Pro will come with a compact and handy body since it is designed with a 5-inch HD display for one-hand operation. According to the OUKITEL product team, it will use Asahi or Corning Glass for the screen to mitigate shocks efficiently and to make it harder against sharp scratches. It should have a 9H hardness and more than 800MPa stress value for the screen. (to be verified though)
As for the specs, the C5 pro is said to come with a MediaTek MT6737 quad-core 1.3GHz chipset, 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM and 5.0 inch HD display.
Reserved
Stylish, Speedy and Strong! This is the new OUKITEL C5 motto. Tough and durable devices are attracting more and more attention and smartphone manufacturers are trying their best to improve the durability one after another. OUKITEL already leaked week ago that their next smartphone C5 Pro will feature a full-metal frame and anti-smash screen. Here you can see the full specs and price range of this model.
OUKITEL C5 Pro meets screen challenge
Smartphone manufacturers are paying more attention on the durability of smartphones. OUKITEL is one of them who is doing a good job in this field. Recently OUKITEL introduced another shock-proof smartphone C5 Pro.
It was said to feature a tougher build quality and fabulous hand feel. Today, OUKITEL's Official YouTube channel uploaded a new video of the C5 Pro. Several challenges were carried out to show the the device toughness.
Hit by an hammer, knocked nails into wood, dropped from top head, there is not any scratch or crack on it. C5 Pro screen has gone through several process to be toughened before putting into massive production. It passed several tests like dropping, slide dropping, twists, high temperature, low temperature, rolling tests, etc. to ensure the materials conform the quality standards.
Another good news is that hte OUKITEL C5 Pro will pack a silicone case as standard package. The silicone case is also special designed to protect the screen. With the silicone case, even with a drop on one of the 4 corners, it will survive. So users don't need to worry about the device from suffering damages by dropping.
OUKITEL C5 Pro has been already released on OUKITEL's official website, to know more, click here: http://www.oukitel.com/products/c/c5-pro-59.html . Presale flash sale will start next week. Authorized stores could be found on OUKITEL official store page.
Introduction
This is the OUKITEL C5 Pro.
Hardware
This device, an evolution of the great OUKITEL C4, is powered by a Mediatek MT6737 SOC clocked at 1.25GHz, just like its predecessor, together with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM. It features a 8MP (interpolated from 5MP) rear camera and a 5MP (interpolated from 2MP) front camera.
Unboxing
Packaging comes with some accessories: 1x Micro-USB Cable, 1x 5V/1A USB Charger, 1x Quick Start Guide, 1x TPU Cover, and the Smartphone (of course). Unlike the C4, there the TPU Cover is included here.
Talking about the dimensions, it is 14.46x7.22x0.98cm, not the smallest 5 inches device you can find. It weights 178g, similar to other metal devices.
The chassis is interesting, with rounded corners, solid metal and antenna bands (that should be useless with a Plastic Back Cover). The device feels rocking solid just like almost all OUKITEL devices, and doesn't have any minor design issue.
On the front side there is the standard 2.5D Curved Display and the upper front side of the device features a Front-Facing Camera, an Earpiece, and the Sensors hole that includes Light, Proximity and Gesture Sensors. No Notification LED is here, just like all C-series devices.
On the lower front side there is the Touch Keys area, with Menu, Home and Back buttons.
On the back side there is the removable back cover, with a 3D-textured surface that feels and looks great.
The upper rear side of the device features the small rounded Camera Sensor supported by a single Flashlight.
On the lower rear side there is the OUKITEL logo together with the nice Speaker holes.
Device
Screen
Screen Quality seems to be slightly worse compared to the C4, colors looks a bit washed out and the brightness isn't high at all.
The Light Sensor supports smooth light changes, with a proper auto-brightness management. This is its maximum brightness. There may be some issues under direct-sunlight.
Viewing Angles matches IPS screen capabilities, with no major issues.
Maximum 2 points are supported here.
Camera
Just like the C4, this C5 Pro features exactly the same camera sensors. A GalaxyCore GC5005 (5MP) for the Back Camera and another GalaxyCore (2MP) for the front camera. The result is almost identical, decent photos considering the price target. Of course this isn't a camera-focused device so do not expect miracles.
"HDR off" on the left and "HDR on" on the right.
Photos taken on medium light conditions are average, with an high amount of noise.
Something that isn't working properly is the flashlight, it is completely out of sync with the shot, and a result you get an almost dark photo. This is a Software Bug that OUKITEL MUST fix. Looking forward to an OTA Update.
As regards Video Recording, 720p videos are decent but with low framerate, starting from 15fps up to 25fps.
Front Camera records some barely sufficient photos that might be useful for Video-Chats or similar. It isn't a Wide-Angle variant.
Audio
Speaker Quality is slightly worse compared to the C4, it lacks low frequencies and also a bit of volume. Maybe they had to reduce the cost of the Speaker in order to provide the Metal Chassis, a bit disappointing considering that both C3 and C4 had such a great and loud speaker.
As regards the Microphone, it works decently well in any case (in-call, VOIP, etc...), and the earpiece is loud enough (maybe a bit too much) to be used in any condition.
GPS
GPS Signal is as good/bad as other MT6737M devices, nothing serious to complain about it.
Indoors on the left, outdoors on the right.
Telephony, Mobile Network & WiFi
NOTE: If you see "WIND" (Operator Name) on some screenshots, that's my secondary SIM with no Mobile Data, Signal and Speed Tests are made using my Primary SIM Card. This is used only for minor tests.
OUKITEL provides full european bands support, with 4G Band 20 (some other Chinese Smartphones don’t have it).
3G Signal Reception is accurate too, actually I never managed to get connected to the 2G Network of my Mobile Operator because there was always some 3G Signal available. (luckily there are no coverage issues here)
4G Network Speed is average, even though it highly depends on your Mobile Operator and mine isn’t pretty good.
WiFi 5GHz isn't supported here. With my 2.4GHz network, i was able to reach almost 39mbps, connected at 65mbps, with the same ping that i get on my Desktop PC.
Battery Life
As always, i have measured the real battery capacity using my USB Tester, and it seems that the real battery capacity is nearly exact compared to the declared value (declared 2000mAh, real ~1960mAh).
This is the PCMark Battery Test. Minimum Brightness, WiFi On, SIM Card Inserted and Active.
As regards battery charging times, the 5V/1A charger is enough for a normal charging runtime, but you can't expect super-fast times.
Software
Just like almost all OUKITEL devices, also this one uses a clean Android 6.0 OS with some minor customizations. I know, it doesn't have Nougat, but OUKITEL has already planned the update so don't worry about it.
Just like other last-gen Mediatek Devices, there are some typical features such as Gestures, Scheduled Power On/Off, etc…
I haven't noticed any lag/stutter while using this device, except the usual MT6737M animations issue that no one is able to fix.
Benchmarks
I have used 3DMark, AndroBench, Antutu Benchmark, Epic Citadel, GeekBench 4, GFXBench, PCMark (Work 2.0, Computer Vision, Storage & Work 1.0) and Vellamo to stress the device to the limit. I won’t test Games or Video Playback because there are already some related tests included in these Benchmark suites.
3DMark – GPU Performance isn't superb, lower than MT6735, i don't know why every MT6737 device has this Graphics Performance issue.
AndroBench – eMMC Performance is sufficient, Write Speed lower than average.
Antutu Benchmark – I won’t say a lot about this benchmark, this isn’t as reliable as others. I’m providing this just for benchmarks lovers.
Epic Citadel – As you can see, 3D performance is low. Not as good as MT6735, somehow lower than other MT6737 devices.
GeekBench – CPU Performance is nearly as good as other CPUs with the same configuration (4x Cortex-A53), enough to handle almost every type of activity.
CPU
Compute
GFXBench – As already said, GPU performance is lower than MT6735 so it clearly confirms that Mediatek broke something in this SOC.
PCMark – Sufficient Performance, nothing to complain about it.
Work 2.0
Computer Vision
Storage
Work 1.0
Vellamo – Just like other MT6737 devices, you can't expect high scores here.
Conclusions
Starting from the C3, the C-series devices from OUKITEL always impressed me, but this time, considering that the C4 was just enough even though it had a weaker build quality, i'm not as impressed or satisfied.
Compared to the C4, there are some upgrades and downgrades. More RAM/ROM together with a Better Chassis, but weaker screen and speaker compared to the C4. Anyway, just like almost OUKITEL devices, the price-quality ratio is unbeatable.
So, do i recommend it? If you have a C4 and you are satisfied with it, no, otherwise if you are searching for a low-end device with some decent hardware, then this might be a good choice.
Pros:
Impressive Metal Chassis
Extra RAM/ROM compared to the C4
Decent Battery Life
TPU Cover included
Cons:
No Notification LED
Worse Speaker Quality compared to the C4
Worse Screen Quality compared to the C4
2 Points only Touchscreen
Rating: 8.2

Interesting to see there is little discussion about this phone, it does look great for the money. Is the battery like really OK? 2000mah seems small for 2017 :/

Just like all previous gen devices (C3 and C4), it doesn't seem that users who buy this kind of ultra-cheap devices are interested to join a community.
Well the battery is sufficient, there isn't much power to handle.

Don't worry, in reality the CPU is MT6737M, not MT6737. (otherwise we would get different performance results)

Did it go ok? Asking because the comments on Needrom are not all very positive about the update. But also notice that the comments are older; for previous versions of the update.
Is there a lot of Chinese crapware on this ROM?

Hi. Enjoyed the review. Just got myself one of these Oukitel C5 Pro.
Not sure if many people are following this thread. Happy to answer any questions or discuss this phone.
Have to say, so far, really disappointed in the camera. Is there anything can be done? My last phone was a Sesonn N9700 and pictures were MUCH better. Oukitel just seems really noisy, in all conditions? Anyone figured out some good settings, or is it just bad hardware?
Also interested in getting Android 7? Isn't this supposed to be available by Wireless update - I got a small fix update but still Android 6 ???? Will it become available? Should I use the version on NeedROM? Is this equally optimised/official? Given Oukitel are releasing Android 6 updates, is it better to stick with this for now??
