"Secure Booting Error! Cause: boot certification verify" LG G3 D855 - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone, I've spent the entire weekend trying to get my head around fixing this one...
My lg g3 was rooted with kingroot, i found an app called super sume which said it could switch king root to su... something went wrong on installation and when its booted up the phone wouldn't get a signal or even access the home screen. I've attempted flashing, recovery mode and download mode and each of them give me the dreaded error message "Secure Booting Error! Cause: boot certification verify" in the top left hand corner of my screen. Nothing seems to work any help would be appreciated. thanks

Are you able to enter download mode?
If you enter download mod, can flash a kdz and. Also flash a different kdz file. For example if you are on 30b flash 30c...if you have twrp recovery flash sharpening mod.zip file from recovery

Boot security error after trying to install Sling KK ROM

I followed the tutorial at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2762171 to install KK ROM on my OG E977, did EXACTLY like written, but then I got stuck at boot screen telling me I have a boot security error, probably due to a locked bootloader, I guess. I try to flash the stock KDZ firmware but KDZ updater offline fix tells me battery level is low when it's not, even when the battery was fully charged.
I can't switch off the phone manually, because it starts again and gets stuck at the LG logo screen with this message:
Secure booting Error!
Cause: boot certification verify
The only way to turn the phone off is with CWM touch recovery 6.0.4.8 by LGviet (after installing the Sling KK ROM or the F180 patch, I guess, because the recovery utility was CWM 6.0.4.7 non-touch installed by FreeGee after unlocking the bootloader.). And when I turn the phone off and plug the charger, the phone boots up by itself and gets stuck at boot security error screen.
I tried to send a CyanogenMod ROM via adb sideload, but it tells me the ROM is for E975, while the phone is a F180 model.
Could someone give me a help, please? Thanks in advance.

How can you boot into recovery once it's in Secure booting error?
Any how fix it using teeny bin repair, it's easy fix.

Or, just as an alternative, find a KDZ that works with the regular KDZ Updater (filesize up to 1.17GB worked for me). This way, as opposed to the offline method with LG Support Tool, you won't get a low battery error, even if the battery is completely dead. Had exactly the same problem myself, this was the solution I used.

[Q] LG G Pad 8.3 secure booting error cause boot certification verify

Hi,
I want to flash my device to Android 4.4.4 Stock Android(Who likes this annoying LG Bloatware?).
When i wanted to get into Recovery Mode using TWRP the LG Logo pops up and in the top-right corner stands:
"secure booting error cause boot certification verify".
I tried everything i know to get into recovery mode, but nothing helped.
Go through the "first time" recovery manual installation procedure found in the CWM thread for the v500. I'm assuming you have a v500.
I have this problem too. Lg gpad 8.3 vk 810

Thanks a million, after hours trying every single method I found across the Web, this was the only thing that managed to get TWRP 2.8 on my v50020d 4.4.2.
It would be interesting though for us to let us know what exactly is that, because I found many people with the same problem than me, and this appears to be the only solution

Well, my problem it was I was using this method (the only one which do not gave me any explicit error) to install TWRP, and when rebooting to recovery it was always loading the stock recovery. That app solved me that instantaneously.
I was a little scared to see first the message "secure booting error, device unlock, so boot success" but it did loaded after TWRP. I guess that is supposed to be that way.
Yep @Maxxd01 That "secure booting error, device unlock, so boot success" it means it bypass ur bootloader to boot into custom recovery

Need Help! Soft brick

My brother has a LG G4 from verizon. He tried to install MM through a KDZ file, something went wrong during the installation. Now the phone is in a bootloop, it says: "Secure booting Eroor! Error 1003". I can enter to the stock recovery and that's it, when I try to put it on download mode, it enters the screen where it says "Download Mode" and then reboots, it doesn't stay. I tried using LGUP but it doesn't detect it because it keeps reboting on download mode.
Is there a way to unlock the bootloader, entering fastboot mode or installing twrp from the stock recovery?
Please Help!

Sadly there is no current way to unlock the bootloader or install twrp on the Verizon vs986. I won't ask why he was trying to kdz MM when MM is available through the OTA update as long as he wasn't rooted. If he was rooted he should have used the lgup to put the stock LP 13b on it then checked for the MM update. and sadly if it won't stay in download mode I can't think of a way to get it out of bootlooping. Maybe someone smarter than me will chime in some time though.

LG G3 D855 - Secure Booting Error

Hi guys,
I really don't know what to do right now. I ran the BlissPop ROM (Lollipop) for some time and decided today to switch to Fulmics ROM (Marshmallow).
Before flashing the new ROM I wanted to update the TWRP and downloaded the twrp-3.0.0-0-d855.img . I got into Recovery Mode, Install, Image and installed the newer version. After that I hit reboot into recovery but I just got the error "Fastboot mode started".
So I followed this guide. The "shorter" version didn't change anything, so I erased all 9 Files and flashed them one by one as shown in the thread. But instead of fixing my "fastboot problem" I now can't even boot my ROM.
Instead, it just says
Code:
ERROR: boot certification verify
Secure booting error!
Cause: boot certification verify
The screen goes black and the LED blinks blue and red.
What can I do? All I wanted was to update the TWRP
If you can't restart your phone ( i mean going to system ) use download mode and go back to stock using TOTs method (i think when you flashed your TWRP.img you did it and you chosed boot.img so that's the problem)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089
follow this thread , i hope you find a solution for this . Good luck
Thanks, I followed a slightly different guide (this one), because somehow the linked FlashTool in the xda thread didn't worked proberly for me.

Locked bootloader - help needed

Hi all and thanks in advance, I appreciate your help a lot!
I've got a V500 with Android 5 and tried to install TWRP on it.
The phone was rooted already, but the TWRP apk app did not work, telling "flashing failed".
I then used the dd method getting root in adb shell, and flashed TWRP 3.1.
Unfortunately TWRP recovery does not boot with the following message:
Secure booting Error!
Cause : boot certification verify
I guess, this is due to the locked bootloader. I could not unlock, as adb reboot bootloader
boots through to the regular UI.
Now additionally to this problem I got a soft UI boot loop. After showing the swirling LG animation,
it boots to UI, shows the desktop, and loops to the LG animation again.
I still can reliably use adb, and be root on the device.
Could you, please, help me flash TWRP right in this situation?
You could try installing v500-20F bootloader and twrp 3.1 with root adb. Check this links:
