Hi guys,
I really don't know what to do right now. I ran the BlissPop ROM (Lollipop) for some time and decided today to switch to Fulmics ROM (Marshmallow).
Before flashing the new ROM I wanted to update the TWRP and downloaded the twrp-3.0.0-0-d855.img . I got into Recovery Mode, Install, Image and installed the newer version. After that I hit reboot into recovery but I just got the error "Fastboot mode started".
So I followed this guide. The "shorter" version didn't change anything, so I erased all 9 Files and flashed them one by one as shown in the thread. But instead of fixing my "fastboot problem" I now can't even boot my ROM.
Instead, it just says
Code:
ERROR: boot certification verify
Secure booting error!
Cause: boot certification verify
The screen goes black and the LED blinks blue and red.
What can I do? All I wanted was to update the TWRP
If you can't restart your phone ( i mean going to system ) use download mode and go back to stock using TOTs method (i think when you flashed your TWRP.img you did it and you chosed boot.img so that's the problem)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089
follow this thread , i hope you find a solution for this . Good luck
Thanks, I followed a slightly different guide (this one), because somehow the linked FlashTool in the xda thread didn't worked proberly for me.

I followed the tutorial at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2762171 to install KK ROM on my OG E977, did EXACTLY like written, but then I got stuck at boot screen telling me I have a boot security error, probably due to a locked bootloader, I guess. I try to flash the stock KDZ firmware but KDZ updater offline fix tells me battery level is low when it's not, even when the battery was fully charged.
I can't switch off the phone manually, because it starts again and gets stuck at the LG logo screen with this message:
Secure booting Error!
Cause: boot certification verify
The only way to turn the phone off is with CWM touch recovery 6.0.4.8 by LGviet (after installing the Sling KK ROM or the F180 patch, I guess, because the recovery utility was CWM 6.0.4.7 non-touch installed by FreeGee after unlocking the bootloader.). And when I turn the phone off and plug the charger, the phone boots up by itself and gets stuck at boot security error screen.
I tried to send a CyanogenMod ROM via adb sideload, but it tells me the ROM is for E975, while the phone is a F180 model.
Could someone give me a help, please? Thanks in advance.

How can you boot into recovery once it's in Secure booting error?
Any how fix it using teeny bin repair, it's easy fix.

Or, just as an alternative, find a KDZ that works with the regular KDZ Updater (filesize up to 1.17GB worked for me). This way, as opposed to the offline method with LG Support Tool, you won't get a low battery error, even if the battery is completely dead. Had exactly the same problem myself, this was the solution I used.
Hello all,
I have downloaded CM 12.1(Lollipop 5.1 09-10-2015) to install. Then I tried recovery mode, got secure boot error. I don't remember the page, but from here in xda, I found some solution, which I entered some codes to code terminal involving aboot.img. Somehow it worked and I used TWRP to install CM 12.1. It works fine.
Then I wanted to go back to stock, downloaded LGFlashTool. Problem starts here. When I tried to enter download mode(volume up) it installed the driver to pc. Then my phone went to download mode, but on top of the screen there was "Secure boot error" message. I looked into driver installing at first and it was qhsusb_bulk.
I have searched on xda and over the internet then, but I didn't find a solution. All the solutions for completely gone G3s.
To sum up, my problem is I can't go back to stock ROM because of the secure boot error in download mode. TWRP recovery works, I can use my phone with CM 12.1 Nightlies Android 5.1 but I can't go back to stock ROM since download mode is not working(secure boot error). I have .kdz file, and now downloading 2.1 GB tot file(not sure where to use). I also have bootdiag, which may be a solution.
I really want to fix it and go back to stock. Any help appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Hi everyone, I've spent the entire weekend trying to get my head around fixing this one...
My lg g3 was rooted with kingroot, i found an app called super sume which said it could switch king root to su... something went wrong on installation and when its booted up the phone wouldn't get a signal or even access the home screen. I've attempted flashing, recovery mode and download mode and each of them give me the dreaded error message "Secure Booting Error! Cause: boot certification verify" in the top left hand corner of my screen. Nothing seems to work any help would be appreciated. thanks

Are you able to enter download mode?
If you enter download mod, can flash a kdz and. Also flash a different kdz file. For example if you are on 30b flash 30c...if you have twrp recovery flash sharpening mod.zip file from recovery

Hi,
I recently bought 5x for 15-20$ with bootloop thinking that I can fix it and well I did. Heated it up onec teared apart and then once it booted allowed for OEM unlocking and did everything step by step with the tutorial (first XDA article link that pops up after searching for "nexus 5x bootloop fix") flashed boot and modded twrp which couldn't flash any rom cause it was giving error 7 with statement that the package I was trying to instal is for "bullhead" and this device is " . " (yes dot, this device is dot). I tried flashing everything OEM from google's official tutorial and with 6 cores and normal TWRP it was able to flash official LineageOS 15.1 build 20180611 but when flashing gapps something went wrong instalation was aborted and device stared booting but stuck at bootanim. After that I flashed OEM once again and used program called "Unblod" , it builds 4 core version of boot.img based of boot.img from rom you want to flash. I obviously used OEM boot.img and once flashed this time without modded TWRP phone booted and everything seemd normal until it asked me to connect to WIFI because there was no network to be found. After skipping all of the first time boot steps tried to turn WIFI on but it just does not turn ( qs icon is not changing to "on" when tapped and in settings switches do but when I go to other section like bluetooth or whatever and back to main settings screen its of again. Tried to flash OEM 2 times building boot.img with unblod flashing vendor, and radio and nothing changes. So is there anything I can do or it looks like I might overheated something and it's causing WIFI not to work. Also my MAC adress shown by the device in settings is 02:00:00:00:00:00 which seems weird. My build number is OMP6.171019.030.B1. I hope it's in right section and sorry for my english if there was any mistake.
Got it working.

I flashed latest rom from:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-5x/general/nexus-5x-bootloop-death-blod-andorid-t3683926
after that you gotta flash twrp. I used one from here
https://www.xda-developers.com/nexus-5x-bootloop-fix-boot-phone/
because the one provided in the package with the boot.img from the first link didn't work for me (n5x didn't want to boot into recovery)
and afterwards boot into twrp and flash this: https://basketbuild.com/filedl/devs...BLOD_Workaround_Injector_Addon-AK2-signed.zip
when all is done you should have wifi and sounds working.
Originally I had an LG G3 d855 v30n (Marshmallow), and flashed the v30b ROM using LGUP tool, so I could root, TWRP and else, since the v30n is unrootable. The process went OK, LGUP flashes the .kdz file properly. Phone boots, I go through setup, OK. Downloaded KingRoot, rooted, OK.
Then I download the TWRP image from their site, and initially, my plan was to flash it using Terminal Emulator app, with commands they gave on the site. Entered the su command, superuser granted. When I entered the second command stated on the TWRP official site, which goes like this: dd if=/sdcard/twrp.img, a bunch of random Unicode characters started showing up, and the Terminal app started not responding. I had to force close it, because it was lagging the phone itself. I try then to flash it with Flashify, download file, flash it, OK. Flashify says: Reboot recovery? I click OK.
Now, the main problem. When rebooted into recovery, on the top left corner says: Boot verification failed, then bunch of random numbers, maybe an error message, don't know. The screen goes totally blank and the LED flash starts flickering red, blue, red, blue etc.
Phone is able to start properly, and works OK. I am just concerned is it possible to fix the Boot verification failed error, and, if possible, install TWRP properly?
Thank you!

The g3 on marshmallow and lollipop have locked bootloaders and there is no way to unlock it and the only thing to do is restore your exact stock recovery or flash a new firmware
Hope this helps

Yup it worked. Flashed the exact same firmware with Normal flash on LGUP, and after that I was able to install TWRP properly.
Thanks!
