I got a maxed out Pine64 from kickstarter, great device and loving it so far, got remix installed and it's doing great, but I also ordered a Touch panel and enclosure to house it all together, the enclosure is not here yet so I don't need the touch panel quite yet, but I haven't found anything on DSI out for RemixOS, is it possible to run remix on the touch panel and have it all work?

Gaming on the go is something I have always thoroughly enjoyed and, in many ways, was one of the reasons that the Galaxy Note appealed to me so much. So far, I have been rather impressed by Android's offering of games. However, I simply love classic old games such as Sonic and Mario so have turned to emulating them. Unfortunately, consoles such as the SNES have simply too many buttons to use the on-screen controls for. Does anyone know of a gaming pad that is compatible with my Note running Android 4 and which slides under the phone similar to the keyboard in this thread here?

may not be exactly what you are looking for but I feel like it is the best option if you want to game. kind of expensive though.
You could buy that Slide keyboard.
And remove the keyboard, and borrow the tilt backplate. Place another (game)board inside.
It would be much trouble trying to find something that fits well.
Especially a model which has the 4-action buttons and 2-joysticks (D-pads aren't necessary if you have the extra joystick). And joystick (like PS Vita) always trumps Nubs (PSP).
Now you're only problem is having 4-shoulder buttons.
And this time its Samsung's fault. SONY is doing it right by placing the Volume buttons on the right side, they can be mapped for shoulder keys. If you had a Camera button, and an Extra button...they would've also been mapped for the R1/R2 shoulder buttons.
Anyways, OEMs tend to think in this order
Build-Price>Marketing>Competitors>Carriers>Usability>>>>Niche-User.
Take my concept (what started out as the OpenPandora), and evolved into an N900, then to a SuperPhone concept, dating back to 2009 (or drafts from 2007):

With an attachable keyboard/charging battery module:

Playing a First Person Shooter:

Playing a Third Person Racing(Flying) Shooter (aka DBZ):

...now I think it can be evolved with the use of:
-Better specs like 1GB RAM and big.LITTLE computing (Tricore A15-A7)
-Higher Screen Resolution
-Get rid of 3D (such a gimmick)
-5V charged MHL (usb host + hdmi)
-Update Gamepad (I can update a picture for you if you like)
-Introduce a better concept of module from M$'s new patent:

Has anyone tries the Parrot AR drone 2.0 with their shield?
I did a search and can't find a reference to it, i'm picking one up tomorrow, heaps of vids on youtube, the shield offers twice the range of a standard phone.
Just when i thought the shield couldn't get any better!!
I'll post how it goes.
Cheers,
Sam.
Nvidia Shield
The shield has no compass so the absolute control mode doesn't work. I like the joystick control.
I don't have a drone, I don't know if it will work, but I can help you root your Shield.
ar drone 2.0
I actually just bought my shield on clearance at gamestop since I go the ar drone 2.0 for christmas. Not only do they work awesome together but they are DESIGNED to work together! As soon as a booted up the default parrot ar drone app I got a new startup screen saying optimized for nvidia shield, the physical controls work much better then the on screen ones. I really can't comment on the range since it's been to windy since I got my drone to really test that part anyway but it feels much more responsive then it did when using my galaxy note 4 to control it. Just to mention on a side note the shields are selling for $160 at gamestop right now.
Hello Brothers,
The touch screen of the op3 is not bad at all, however it does not compare with my sgs5 screen, which was ultra responsive. sgs5 stock software had even a gloves mode, which made the touchscreen even more responsive. Now my question, is this adjustable with software like on samsung? if so how can i do this? Im very used to ultra senstive screen and that is the only thing I miss on my Op3.
In short:
Op3 Touchscreen: possible to make more sensitive? Yes | NO
(If true){
// How to?
}
else{
//fck my life
}
Thanks brothers!
Greetings from Amsterdam
bump, if someone know something tell us please!
Would love that option too.
Now we are in late 2017 and the N700/N800 is a few years old, development has slowed down a bit.
But the hardware specs show its still a great tablet.
I for one just want a well working OS which makes good use of the AMOLED display by giving me a dark theme so I never see another power wasting, eye straining and car headlight simulating white background on my tablet again.
So are there currently any stable enough ROM's that will work in this regard?
Or am I better off going back to Touchwiz and using black hacked apps?
Thanks for any help
Hey guys,
short and sweet: Daydream on the X is pretty nifty.
Sure, it doesn't provide a wide FOV thanks to 5" screen size, but the pixel density is pretty good and personally I'm liking the eyperience. Also, the X fits perfectly in the Samsung Gear VR headset (v 323, can be had for super cheap) which gives you a comfy fit, no light leakage and is the best VR headset for people who wear glasses ever. Adjustable lens ftw!
Daydream View 2 works really well as well. Controller might get a bit iffy to setup, but it's working now and really well at that.
My module contains a readme that explains whatelse is needed to install, basically follow the usuage procedures.
I haven't tested it on the Dual SIM model, could be that it works, but I wouldn't know.
Have fun, fam!
