Hi, I got my LG G4 repaired after bootloop and right now i'm trying to get my phone to look like before, but I'm missing one app/mod. I set up my on-screen keys to look like this: < O (i dont remember third one i think it wasn't [] but as I said, i am not sure, it might have been three lines or something simmilar) which worked as back home more and long press on more (i was able to set custom timing with this app too! like 2s or 3s) showed me current running/last app screen.
I thought it was one of the G4 tweaksbox features but i cannot find it there (reinstalled last lolipop version 1.2)
Can someone help me with my search?
Please trash this topic, I found these settings in themes (I ignored it since i changed my launcher and I thought its related only to the stock launcher)

You don't need to HardSPL to flash an official ROM (for your specific carrier). The original shipped ROM will flash fine.

Thanks to redpoint73 and all of you guys at XDA.
My only hesitation is becasue de guy at HTC said NO!. (What does he know!)
Summary:
I had original tllt2 ROM.
I just ran the new Updated ROM. no HardSPL (I don't even know what's that)
I don't like the new ROM (only good thing is Videos run smoother)
I had the original ROM file .
Question: RUNning this file is the same as Flashing? (Sorry I'm really noobie)

Thanks LiquidXed,
Fortunatelly I have a file HTCTilt2ATTOriginalShipROM.exe I don't remember how I got it (maybe HTC) but I'm sure is the original.
The only question is that the original ROM was about 8/09 and I believe it was a fix patch on 12/09. I bought my Tilt2 on 4/10 so I don't know if I have to install the patch plus I don't know what kind of patch it was.
Thanks for your help.

Just curious, what didn't you like about the new ROM? I DLd id today and was thinking about installing it. I've had an issue lately where the time gets thrown off, doesn't seem to sunc properly, and I thought this new ROM might address that issue.

Read the oter posts about the new tilt 2 rom.. there is a couple things that suck. I dont like that it dont have the mini task mannager at the top right where it tells u how much memory is free and beable to close app without haven to open the task manager. It dont have arc messaging client, it has HTC message client, and i dont like how it runs, its really slow. the rom itself is fast, it dont show notifications on the home screen , u have to click on the top taskbar to see if u have a missed call and what ever, also the first thing u need to do is install .net 3.0 before u don anything then u need to do a registry edit to get .net to work right.. There is some other things i dont like about it, thats y im not usen it.. wildchild has made a nice update of this new rom, that fixed alot of things that werent right.. but read the form here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=737168 then ull get a better view on this about this rom, whether u want it or not. But the best way to deside if u like it or not is to flash it and try it. Make sure u have the original rom just incase u dont like it. If u dont i have a copy and could upload to hotfile or somethin

1-Besides the above items let me add that the deal breaker for me was they reduced the text input keyboard from 6 or 7 to just 3. No more letter recognition, or handwriting or my preferred method, block recognition. I know is not popular, but I love it becuse it's almost impossible to mistype, it the faster way for me, I use my finger or the stylus and the big plus is it doesn't cover the screen! and I don't even have to look at the screen! The current keyboard covers more than half of the scree and in landscape mode it cover almost all the scree, just one line visible at the top. But the worst thing is that even if I am using the hardware keyboaard it pops over and over again.
2- HTCalbum.exe is just useless. in the Photo and Video tab, if I press "album" to change the albums or to see the grid, it opens the grid view for 1 or 2 seconds and returns to swipe view. If I'm quick enough to press the album key it shows the list of albums but it freezes for a while and returns back again to the swipe mode. The I get an error message from Microsoft with a link to report the error when I press the it asks for Wifi connection. And even if I exit the error message keeps poping up
Internet is definitely slower.
I couldn't find a way to add programs to the WM6 Star menu icons and Sense only allows 9.
How you can see the list of ALL PROGRAMS??
On the good side FM reception is a lot better
The one thing that is noticible better is that finally the the video play is very smooth (sigh) I'm going to miss that because I moving back to the original ROM.

Hi there,
i like the Stock G3 Firmware but i HATE the misdesigned Dialer... so much Place for showing nice pictures is wasted with white Space...
After falshing around some CM and other Firmware i ended up with this question.
So my Question is : It is possible to replace it with the AOSP, or Cyanogen, or whatever another Dialer
Greetings from Germany
Patrick
Hi there,
Are you on Lollipop or still KK ?
On KK there are ZIPs for original google dialer from CM, i don't remember where, and for Lollipop it's still not stable, as you can check CyberstormXo was trying in this post :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/themes-apps/req-stock-lollipop-google-dialer-t2990813/page3
But you can stillchange dialer for another one on the play store i guess ?
Cheers !
Im on LP.
The Dialer in Playstore looks fine... and i tryed a few.
And some of them looks great... But only till the call build up, then it switches and you have the same and ugly Stock-callscreen as before.
The Dialer App in Playstore are just workarounds for the Phonebook and the "Dialer-Pad"... when you tap on the Phone to call someone all theese Dailers switch back to Stock-Call-Animation.
As is often call someone when im around with my car, everytime i have to see this ugly interface... and thats pretty annoying.
But thanks for the Link, i will follow the Progress.
Oh ok I did not get what you meant about the in-call UI, I thought about the "real" dialer sorry !
As I am with the quick-circle case, and so closed when calling, I don't see this ugly UI
Let's hope LP will begin to get hacked in many ways, like Xposed someday maybe .... !
I thinks its obsolete now...
Photo Size Changer
I'm liking the update so far, but missing a couple of things.
1. I loved having the Menu button option and long press for recent apps. I can't find any setting to get that combo any more.
2. I used to be able to drag up from the bottom and on the right side get the quick memo button which would essentially take a screenshot. Now all i get is the option to go into Google now.
Has anyone figured out how to get those options back?
Thanks!

I can at least answer your first question.
I know that installing G2 Xposed from Play AFTER obtaining root, installing TWRP using Autorec by @bender_007 , AND installing the Alpha4 of Xposed (still says Alpha2 in the D/L link) you can dig into the Nav Buttons and change the Recents button to Settings. I personally am not a fan of doing so, but you are.
Hope this helps.

I'd stay far away from G2 Xposed. It's a terrible, buggy app. It was a nightmare on the Cloudy G2 ROM and I expect no different on any other software, stock or not. As soon as the navbar section is opened, it changes the recents button to a menu one, and it can't be changed back. It also forces the button combination menu in display to crash everytime an attempt to open it is made. The only way to undo the damage is to completely wipe the device and flash a ROM fresh.
Now, like I said, I saw that on the Cloudy G2 ROM. Every time someone had an issue with the button combination menu, it was always G2 Xposed. With our G2 now getting the G3 UI, I expect it's going to cause issues on the stock ROM as well. Beware.
The G2 Xposed thread was shutdown by mods quite a while back here on Xda.

Yeah I noticed that. I'm glad I had a TWRP backup because that was an impossibility to revert no matter what I did... The setting button was the only issue I had with KK on the G2.
I recommended it to him because he wanted the setting button and it did that magically.
All I want is to unite the ringtone and notification sounds :crying:

I want to get rid of the spinning spark icon but I may have to go back to KK to make that happen. I tried several Xposed modules and none would switch icons for that. I used G3 Tweaksbox previously in the Cloudy ROM and G2 Tweaksbox on stock.

I don't know how to do that... I actually like the Spark icon
I was looking for a non-root solution. This is the first phone where i have felt the hardware and software was good enough to not have to root.

Hey guys, I'm kinda new to this modification world, started when I received my Zenfone 2 out of necessity since ZenUI is very poluted and ended up enjoying it
So, right now I'm using SuperZen (super basic) just to get rid of the endless bloatware that comes with the phone... my question is: what is the best overall rom right now for someone who is starting and want something very clean?
Other thing, the double tap feature still working in these others roms or just in stock? Cant live without it, I came from LG G2 and I cant stand at clicking the power buttom anymore... I know that sounds idiotic but is really cool to have this feature...
Hello everyone, I upgraded a moto g30 to android 12 (stock) and the colors of the images look really different. I compare the images taken with the g30 on a g7 and they look good in the g7, that is, it is not the camera. Also the g30 was looking good with android 11.
The problem lies in how the colors are presented to the screen. It looks like with to much detail, with stains in the skin of people, that i do not see in real life.
In addition, old photos that I had looking good in the g30, now look bad.
I tried in Display settings to change from Natural to Saturated, From Cold to Warm, and is still bad.
For example in the g7 device with android 10 (stock), i have the option to use boosted. but i don't have that option in the g30.
tbh i'm noob. But i think is some post processing shader built-in in andoird 12 and i don't have a clue on how to fix this.
Does anyone else experimented this issue? do you know any way to fix it?
If i don't find a solution please point me to how to downgrade to android 11 stock.
Thanks in advance.
You can try a fix some of us have found, but it may not work:
1. Download the "Set Edit" app on playstore
2. Open it and find the "display_color_mode" option
3. Edit it to "1"
4. Close app and reboot
Tell us if that changed anything.
If it doesn't work you can try rooting and using a color management app
Hi Kuntitled, thanks for your answer. That was actually helpful, i do not see a great difference but it is somehow better.
I didn't root it, and i wont do it, because i have apps that wont work with the phone rooted.
Do you have something more to try? again thanks!
