Stuck (unable to boot) updating firmware

I was (CID=TELST001). I wanted to flash VenomOne ROM. I rooted, unlocked bootloader and flashed Venon ROM. Then found that WiFi didn't work as I had not upgraded firmeware to the right base.
So I had to go back to stock to upgrade firmware and then reflash Venom ROM. I restored a stock nandroid (1.12 firmware). I then found n OTA which included 1.54 upgrade, another a 2.23 upgrade to fw and yet another to 3.23 firmware, all with matching CID. All went well until last firmware flash.
I flash fw.zip by extracting it from the OTA.zip and flashing it according to instructions here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2696282
But since flashing 3.23 fw.zip and when it rebooted it gets stuck on the white HTC/powered by Android screen and doesn't proceed. I don't think it's just a slow boot - it has sat there for over half hour. Powering down doesn't work (either power button nor power + vol down) - it just comes back to same screen.
I had to reset by power+VolUp and then Switch to power+voldown - got back to hboot/fastboot. Below are the getvar all:

Above shows I am on the right firmware and HBOOT to now flash Venom. But I can't boot up into stock. is there something wrong with the boot.img? Should I proceed to unlock and flash Venom ROM even though I can't successfully boot into stock before doing so?

Yep just flash the new rom.

M8 No OS

Hi all, I seem to have wiped my OS. I updated to lollipop and was having issues with the wifi. I read somewhere to do a factory reset in recovery so I did this. Once the phone rebooted, I began to install the some apps and began to have issues with Titanium backup. (Searching for installed apps I think) also Spotify refused to run. Also the phone kept complaining that TV has stopped working.
I went back into recovery and selected advance wipe and wiped all expect the otg something.
Rebooted the phone and was left the phone for about 10 mins and it was still on the White HTC screen. I restarted it and went into recovery and when I selected reboot it said no OS installed.
I have no idea what to do.

What files do i need to download and if someone could point me to an idiots guide for installing it I would be forever grateful.

You're going to have to try and get a backup from the latest o2 UK M8 as that's what you have

Hello, i am having a big problem
i had s-off, the last twrp and stock rom
i was trying to update to 5.0.2 so i got the stock recovery, but when i tried to install i have a error mensage
so i heard if i flash the recovery from the ota file i could install the update with no errors
so i did, now i have a brick cell
i am stuck on htc logo
i am with the last version of twrp recovery
i download some stock roms and firmwares
i have

4.16.709.9_ckpv5.zip
i tried to go to sideload on recovery
when i try --- adb sideload rom.zip
always get the awnser: cannot read
already try rom.zip.zip
i dont know if i have to put this file to other place or if i getting wrong roms or my system is f....
on the folder that i have the file i do ****f+right click.. go to open cmd window
and try sideload.. but always cannot read
i dont know what to do

Boot loop on a totally stock M8

Hi there.
I had some problems with M8 after Marshmallow update.
Sometimes it freezes on locked screen(phone working) - I have to restart it.
Phone stucks in a HTC logo, so I restarted it again and again.
And some time it starts a system.
Yesterday I had a problem to open any app - app open and closes immediately.
Some apps I had opened earlier works ok.
So I restarted my phone and it stucks on a boot loop.
Rom, recovery are totally official European software.
I haven't root.
I can access to HBOOT, FASTBOOT and RECOVERY.
Fast boot factory reset doesn't work.
Recovery wipe cache/data doesn't work

I doubt you'll find it on the official HTC site.
But you can find it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64926626&postcount=6
RUU is probably your best bet, on a fully stock device.

Help needed! Stuck on bootloader, can access recovery or rom

Hi!
I was trying to install stock Marshmallow Rom on my device from Lineage os 14.1 but once i installed the Rom in the recovery i got stucked on bootloader on restart. i also try to access the recovery (twrp), the device reboot on hboot. which ever option i try to get in it reboot back to hboot. i dont know which thing i have done wrong and what exactly is problem. i also searched different method to solve this issue (such as flashing RUU on adb but it give error, trying to flash new recovery it still giver error on my on command window, unlocking bootloader but again give error).
I want to bring my phone to its normal condition with any rom (stock or custom)
if any one know this issue and could help me solve this i would be really grateful.

I am having almost the exact same issue. I dug in a little deeper and it seems that the $INTERNAL_STORAGE location /sdcard doesn't exist or has become corrupted.
