Hi, i don't know if it is the right thread but i'm facing an annoying issue on my LG D855 (Fulmics 5.3 custom ROM), after i install Facebook Hello Dialer App (Caller ID & Block) i have a constant network signal drops, like every 2 secondes, and every time i try to place a call with or without the app.
The app itself works fine to identify and fetch peoples data (over wifi of course). I can't figure out the problem, i tried switching between network modes (2g/3g/4g/auto), disabled/enabled sync optimisation, but nothing resolved.
Uninstalling facebook hello dialer brings back the signal but this not a solution :/
The app was sideloaded since it is unvailable here in Algeria, maybe be because of network bands in my country (slightly different from US ones, despite i don't see relevance here), but i installed it on a bunch of other smartphones and all went ok (1st gen Samsung Galaxy A3, LG L Bello, and even a chiness clone of the Hisense u970) (all on stock roms).
If someone can help me it would be nice.
Thank you.

Hello,
I've been going through the forums but I can't figure out what is going wrong.
I have a HTC Desire With Froyo and of course HTC Sence.
When I select a contact card and I go to the gallery TAB to access the Facebook photos The gallery won't display anymore.
Instead I get a message that repeat itself saying "update in progress" Loading, to finally say "no album" on every contacts.
It use to work fine, I'm not sure if this is happening since Froyo update.
Has anyone got the same problem and know how to fix it?
Thx,
Frem
I'm the only one with this problem ???
Ok i gave more info now. The bug happens only in 3g. When i use wifi the gallery appears corectly.
Bug is still happening please help me.
I have the same problem.. Still no answer?
I am having the same issue, It works perfectly over wi-fi but not at all via 3G. I'm going to try a different SIM card to see if it might be my provider.
Are you guys using the phone on it's intended provider or are you unlocked and using it with a different SIM.
It seems to be affecting "places" for me as well, I can't check in, it gets stuck on "loading content..." but it works perfectly fine on WiFi
When i start Faceboob first time (after reboot) i can see everything, but when i use it second time the gallery can not load, only see white pics. Have this issue with 3g and Wifi.
for those of you having this issue what network are you on? I am trying to narrow down the issue.
I have the issue on all 3 of my phones, Motorola Milestone, Nexus One (CM 7) and with my Desire HD (North American, tired with several different ROM)
The problem affects the following
No notifications in Facebook official app
Can't Check in to Places, if finds a list but when I click on one, it gets stuck loading data
Facebook for HTC Sense also has issues, 1st is with the Gallery
I cannot load my facebook friends galleries, it just gets stuck then times out and tells me they don't have any galleries (they do)
Contacts sync in Facebook for HTC Sense
All of the above do not work on my phone while on the Rogers wireless network, everything works perfectly while on Wi-Fi. I have used my Telus SIM in all three phones and it works perfectly, I have also used my friends Bell SIM in all 3 phones and it works perfectly. It only happens on Rogers but when I call Rogers tech support they refuse to acknowledge the issue and tell me to contact facebook about it.
Anyone else still having this issue?
Hi everybody,
upgraded to ER3BUS XL3.6 and had a great experience so far. However, there is one observation I have so far, and may not be the ROM at all, just wondering if somebody else came across it.
Occasionally, while having 5 bars reception the mobile network does not seem to work. Sometimes it indicates 'G' (GPRS only I believe) so I expect slow network, but it does not seem to work at all. Other times there is no mobile network indicator, so I though the carrier had an issue, however restarting the phone seems to fix it, ie the indicator shows G/E/3G after the restart, same location at my desk at work. This leads me to believe, that something in the phone/ROM stops.
As I said, just a suspicion, no proof, don't know where to look to find out. Does not happen all that often (once/twice a day).
Any suggestion in where to find relevant log files to look through AND WHAT to look for appreciated. I am a WINDOWS man (there, I have said it ), trying to get into Android .
Thanks
KORE
Hello,
I'm a happy G3 owner, D855, 3Gb/32GB International version. I rooted using IOroot successfully and have done 2 OTA updates since then, currently on 10g, root still on.
I'm having major issues when trying to connect to WIFI routers in cafes/restaurants/hotels, public places in general, whereas my wife's phone and my smartwatch (believe it or not, with its mini antenna in the wrist bands (Omate Truesmart)) connects from the first try.
On the G3, I get "Authentication error" almost always, but it is working properly at my home, my parents house etc.. Only in public places or rather in places where there are a lot of people connected usually.
Does anybody have an idea what to do to solve this issue?
Many thanks for any help/tips
Chris
I do not have same issue but very simillar. Everytime wanna connect to public wifi LG G3 Android 5.0 show up screen with "login into network". Nothing more. Web browser won´t open page with login name and password even own web browser is not openning anyway. It works before Lollipop arrived...
I have the same problem, do you solve it?
You could disable "Show passwords" (Settings / Security) and try again. For some people this appears to work :good:
Hello,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 2, SGH-M317i (Bell Mobility) and recently installed Cyanogenmod 12.1 (Lollipop 5.1.1). All is running well, the device actually seems to be running much faster...probably due to the lack of bloatware that originally came with it. Sure, I miss some of the "cool" features that the manufacturer had added (ie. hand swipe for screen capture), but overall I am extremely happy with the decision to flash the ROM. Although it does self-identify as a SGH-N7105 now. (About Phone > Device model)
Anyway, I have noticed that when I have my guest networks enabled on my home router (an ASUS RT-N66U running the latest Merlin firmware), my phone insists on connecting to the Guest networks (a2.4 and 5 GHz) instead of my full, "regular" network (hidden SSID, but a "Saved" network in the phone). Even if I go into the WiFi settings and tell the phone to forget those entries, it will still try to connect...even going so far as to say "connected" even though I know it does not have the proper credentials. I have no idea what is causing this as the problem was not present on the stock 4.4.2 KitKat that I had previously.
Sure, I could give it the credentials for those guest networks (all are WPA-Personal protected) but I have restricted those from accessing the intranet as they are primarily for guests who come by, so that is not really a viable option.
Does anyone have any suggestions? It seems strange that it attempts to connect and save these networks, so technically, I shouldn't have to do anything to keep the phone from connecting. However, since it insists, I had thought that Android would have a native (not requiring an app) method of blacklisting these networks. I have looked at apps such as WiFi Ruler, but again would've thought that there is a manual way of doing this. (I don't know if this is obvious by virtue of the fact that I am running a custom ROM, but the phone is rooted.)
Thanks!
used this code and off your wifi power saving mode and try *#0011# select wifi..u may need need press the botom left button to select wifi
Very odd. It seems that since installing CM12.1, my device no longer accepts or recognizes USSD codes. I guess I hadn't noticed since I had rooted and unlocked it prior to flashing Cyanogenmod over the stock ROM. I did some reading and I found that there is a patch to enable those codes (and SMS) on CDMA models of the Note 2. However, mine is LTE and does SMS, MMS, and it uses LTE without issue.
Here is a link to that page:
http://forum.cyanogenmod.org/topic/112400-solution-to-sms-and-ussd-code-on-cm121-cm12-cm11-cm10/
Is this something anyone else has experienced? Should I follow the instructions on that page and install the patch?
Again, my phone is a Samsung Galaxy Note 2, SGH-i317M but since the installation of CM12.1 the About Phone > Device model reports it as being a GT-N7105 with a Baseband Version I317MVLUDNH2.
I'd really like to try the solution to my WiFi problem, so if anyone else has had experience with the USSD codes not working please let me know if there is a solution.
Thanks!
To update my last post:
Some USSD codes do work, I watched the pop ups more closely this time and there is one before the "...invalid MMI code" that says "USSD code running". The main one that find interesting no longer works is the one I had used to unlock my phone *#197328640#. I had figured that it would not have disappeared simply by installing Cyanogenmod. Further, I also followed that thread I had posted the link to a little further, and I'm not comfortable flashing the "patch" it leads to as I cannot confirm it's original source and it does sound like it may be another full ROM.
Hi, I got my Butterfly 3 yesterday.
It had an old tampered (without "au" stuff) KDDI ROM that wouldn't update so I flashed to a more recent one, rooted, flashed the GPS fix and disabled/uninstalled all the "au" stuff. The phone is now working great except for a few things that are very annoying, and I'd like to know if the Taiwan version doesn't have the same problems:
1 - Can't seem to find a way to select 2G, 3G or 4G mode. My previous One M7 had that option under "mobile data". Here it's completely gone (what the hell? it's the first phone I've ever seen without this..).
This is especially bad because I can't seem to be able to enable LTE (the phone's bands are supported in my country). Since I can't try to force "4G only" in the phone, there's no way to know if there's a problem with my APN configuratin (which I had to input manually.. for the first time ever on a smartphone), if there's a problem with the antenna, or if my SIM card simply doesn't have 4G enabled. Does the Taiwan version have the "force 4G" option?
2 - I've added the country code to almost all my contacts (+351) in order to be able to call them whenever I was abroad. The phone won't detect any contact that has a "+" in the number, so the person's name doesn't appear. Same thing with SMS: if there's a "+" in the number, I can't reply to the sms or send new ones. Is there a way to overcome this with the KDDI ROM? Does the Taiwan ROM have this problem too?
I'm split between "upgrading" to the Taiwan Marshmallow or keeping the KDDI one.
To be honest, I'd rather stay with Lollypop if it means getting usable NFC. On the other hand, if the Taiwan ROM fixes the problems mentioned above then I'll say goodbye to NFC.
I fixed it by having two numbers on one person. So you got the number with the country code(+...) and the number without country code(for me: 06....).
As for the problem with the settings, I can't find it either :/
Maybe the option is just hidden away, but I never use mobile data.
I've been in your shoes

I'm in the states , but calling both and texts has been fine. (I had a damaged SIM couldn't send texts)
If you really want japan's au bloat that even with a pro root uninstaller still leaves grime just to keep NFC, I have a solution for you to get data.
P.S.You need root for any real fixes like this one
use es file explorer and turn on root read write permissions, it'll ask when you use the left side panel to access system directory.
Use search to find apn-config.xml
Replace file with one from cyanogenmod rom or any phone you have.
Data should now work. To fix SMS uninstall it, clear out its folder and install any HTC text messaging app and place apk in folder. (then clear cache)
Also, update as much as possible before rooting, b/c its a bootloader unlock and this phone has not bootloader update with marshmallow you can always root with twrp.
Private message me with any questions I'll respond asap. I'm no developer (despite my attempts linux hates me), but I know my way around the average android device and have kept up with everything for this one.
(Taiwan has no gps issues, uninstallable bloatware, nor apn/4g problems)

Are you absolutely sure that uninstalling sms.apk and clean the cache solved the problem for you. I tried that long time but didn't work for me. Which APK did you uninstall ? providers.apk, sms.apk or mms.apk ?
I don't have GPS, 4G issues on Japan version, the only problem is SMS "+" resolution.
