Will remix is ever come to normal tablets like the Chinese ones ??
Sent from my Lenovo a5000 using XDA-Developers mobile app
My question exactly. I have a Ugoos UG007 II. Is someone porting/ported Remix OS to these RK3066 devices?
I have been using a Cube T9 for a long, long time. I too would love to use Remix. I have toyed with the idea of going with Windows 10 on a new tablet, but mainly for the ability to use multiple windows.
Hope one to see Remix on my tablet? Will it ever happen?
I doubt it. This is based on Android x86 (intel cpu architecture)
All the cpus you've listed are ARM.
Request for the new tablet.

and at all, is it any reason make this posts in this section? If it give or gave any support ?
One case of succesfull installation of Remix OS on techtablets forum today published.
With some issues ( bad work screen brightness adjustment and only landscape orientation), but successful !!!
Please support Remix OS for Teclast x98 plus II. There are only few issues, compared to already existent Teclast x98 plus. Thank you !!
I am glad to have found this thread and to know others want this ported. Over at Tech Tablets forum, someone posted a way to flash the X98 PLUS Remix OS to the PLUS II by switching the boot.img.
While this boots, lots of things are missing.
-Screen Rotation
- Brightness control (the changes are very minimal currently)
- Proper SD card recognition
- No Sound unless you use Bluetooth
Everything else so far works amazingly and better than the 5.1 Android that comes installed with the tablet. The application compatibility is much better and the system overall runs smoother. If Remix Officially comes to the X98 Plus II, I'm looking forward to removing Windows 10 all together from my tablet.
+1 from me too! All the parts are there and it works pretty well (apart from internal sound) with the information at tech tablet.

Remix 2.0 is available for the Chuwi 2.0
I have a dual-boot (Android/MS win10) Chuwi Hi12.
What would I gain, other than a MS win10-like UI, by adding Remix?
What complications may Remix introduce for long-term maintenance, and perhaps future app-selection, please?
Thanks - David
You should better ask here.

Hi David,
I bought a Chuwi Hi12 some months ago after crashing the W10 on a Teclast X98 Plus. Worked nicely for some months although I saw some BSD's right from the beginning. But then it started to reboot (with BSDs) several times a day. So I decided what the heck throw off W10 and go for Remix 2.0. So I flashed Remix 2.0 on an enlarged partition (gpt.bin from X98 Plus) and now I am running Remix as the only OS on my Chuwi Hi12. Looks good, feels good and does not reboot every few hours, so it was W10 which could not handle the Chuwi hardware.
Regards,

I would like to buy an inexpensive, large tablet, but I don't want Windows 10.
The Chuwi H12 meets my hardware requirements (Good resolution, Stereo speakers, real USB ports even without keyboard dock, USB charging).
and Deal eXtreme still has them in stock.
I see the official remix OS 2.0 firmware on the Chuwi forums, but it does not look like there are/will be any up dates.
Are there any updates?
What works, and what does not?
Is there any hope of the rumored Chuwi Remix 12 pro? (or another Remix 3.0 device?)
Can I fall back to Ubuntu? What works and what does not (with current kernel/Ubuntu)
Yes, I've been Googling, but I don't see much in the way of current (last 6 months) articles. Has time already left this device behind? Has it left Remix OS behind?
Thanks for purchasing recommendations.
Here's Remix OS for various Chuwi devices. Hi12 is supported with compatibility patch.

That looks awesome ! I haven't bought my large tablet yet, but that looks like an awesome ROM. I see that you have a cyanogen too, as a fall-back.
I really like the Chuwi Hi12 with the 2 full size USB ports, "normal" (Micro USB) charging, and a great screen.
I am also considering some other 12" tablets that should support Remix, as well as Ubuntu 16.xx "out of the box". The availability of your ROM is a big plus for the Chuwi.
All it needs is a big Chewbacca sticker for the back :silly:
Has anybody noticed that Google translates "Chuwi" into "Out of"? Most of the Vendors seem to be "out of" the Hi12.
Techtablets on YouTube has info on the new 13inch Chuwi tablet that is just about to hit the market. Just like the Hi12, it's only being released with a single Windows10 platform to start with. It's a brilliant review outlet on YouTube, I suggest those that have not seen it should give it a view.
Try Cyanogenmod 12.1, works best with it.

BIOS Updates are always risky bro.
Don't do it if you don't know the risks.
Myself I updated the bios without problem on my hi12 dualboot
Have you guys heard of MaruOS?
If not, have a look at this site:
http://maruos.com/
With it being ported for nexus devices, given op new fame and openness Would we see ports start coming our way?
Do usb-c hubs with hdmi/displayport/etc devices work on op3?
Maru OS on OnePlus 3 would be amazing. I have no idea why it isn't being ported to any device even though it's open source and it has such high potential. Currently it only works on Nexus 5.
Would love a build of this!
Looking good...
Would also be interested. I hope either MaruOS or Remix Singularity will be working with the OP3.
It would be great to have an os like that for ours 1+3! I´ll follow the post to see how it goes
I would be very interested to see this.
Do it.
MaruOs sounds good for op3
The usb-c 2 hdmi on any ROM would be dope af.
Yes I want it! It would be awesome
I would like to have it
would be great, any progress already?
not really
I don't think the OnePlus 3 has MHL/Slimport output from its USB-C port, which would make it impossible for Maru OS to work as intended on our device.
Seems that other devices without mhl or slimport works well, its just about a display link.
But I think there is no interest at all.
I have a working Maru OS version running now. It works with a BT/USB keyboard/mouse and a Miracast/Chromecast. I have to clean up some things, but I could upload a version to Androidfilehost if there's interest.

Thanks, this week I'm really busy but I'll try next week and report. But thanks for the build.
Hello,
I have two tablets with very little support.
Either the programmers gave up because the original configuration were too complexe. I know there are a few who like challenges.
In any case
1st tablet
RCA
RCT6203W46
AKA VIKING PRO 2
2nd tablet
Hipstreet phoenix
HS-10DTB12A-16MG
AKA PHOENIX
Is there anyone that can confirm any custom roms working on these units.
4.4.2 and 5.0 are very limiting.
Thanks for looking into this.
There are good number of people that bought these units that would be very happy if anything worked other then stock rom.
Also, I just finished twrp / rr oreo on my old samsung mega 6.3 with full smooth success because of your programmers.
Kick ass!!!
