twrp 2.8.0.1 "red clown" needed - Huawei Ascend P6, Mate

I tried the russian B907 stock rom but now I want to put a backup back that I made in TWRP 2.8.0.1 by BangL. which I downloaded this evening.
As it turned out, the backup must have been made by TWRP 2.8.0.1 "red clown" and now the backup does not want to boot.
Does anyone have a copy for me to download from somewhere? the original on a russian site is gone...

Solved.
It was impossible to put part of the backup back.
I installed B907 again and then reinstalled twrp by BangL again and used that to do a fresh carbon rom (which was the backed up rom) install.
Then in twrp I put the data backup back, nothing else.
Phone is back up and running as it was before trying B907.

[Q] Need to recover file from nandroid backup?!

Hi all,
I need to recover some information from my phone from before I flashed a new ROM, and wondering what's the easiest way about it based on the scenario given below;
I was running a rooted stock ROM (LB) with TWRP. I used titanium to batch backup my apps ( but seem to have overlooked my notepad app which had info in it that I now need.)
I installed resurrection remix which comes with CWM so can't just do a new nandroid, then restore the old one to get the info, then re-restore the newer backup.
Is there a way to extract the info direct from my twrp backup on my SD/ laptop or do I need to/is it possible to flash TWRP to replace CWM and keep the rest of the ROM as-is?
TIA
If you are just recovering a file, and not restoring the backup itself, try using nandroid manager. I can extract a file from my nandroid backup (created by cwm). I never tried it with twrp nandroid backup though.
Other option is to try to flash the Dual Recovery on your phone.
Then you have TWRP and CWM on your phone.

TWRP 2.8.7.0 Nandroid backup didn't fully restore using updated TWRP 3.0

I'm on the unofficial CM 12.1 build and went back to my stock rom after a full factory reset and it restored fine but when going back to my custom rom backed up by TWRP 2.8.7.0 and restored using newer 3.0 version most of my apps were missing along with my browser website links folder as well. The stock rom I restored was also one from the older TWRP version restored by the newer 3.0 version and it worked fine. This is the first nandroid restore I've ever done that didn't just restore it exactly like I left it and it has me a bit worried.
When I flashed the new TWRP 3.0 and tried to do a current backup it failed saying my system was set to read only. I changed this in TWRP's settings and the backup worked but I don't remember this system RW change being an issue with the older version. Are these changes meant for Marshmallow's more restrictive firmware and just tweaks we will have to make on older lollipop roms ?

TWRP restored backup problem -x800 US

I have a problem with my TWRP (3.2.0-0) backups on my le1 pro (us model).
I'm on Cuoco92's ROM 5.5.014S. I saw BetaHydri's CM12.1 and wanted to try it.
First I made in TWRP a backup of my current Cuoco92 ROM. Then I installed CM12.1, gapps and the phone booted, and played a little with it.
I made a TWRP backup of this CM12.1 so I can get back to it and test it later.
I restored the backed up Cuoco92 ROM.
Later I got back into TWRP to restore CM12.1 and after a successful restore and reboot the phone gets stuck on LeEco logo. I tried to wipe/factory reset but without success.
Fortunately the backups of Cuoco92 ROM get restored without problem and the phone boots normally.
Does anyone know what could be the problem? Why do I get stauck on LeEco logo when I restore the CM12.1 backup but not when I restore the Cuoco92 backup?
I got same problem, in my case I wanted to restore the stock Rom but the phone restart to TWRP before restore ends then I tried to restore the CM12.1 backup, I stuck on LeEco logo.
Luckily, after many reboots, the original recovery restored (I don't know how) and I could flash the 11s clean again.
Really its a weird phone!

Need help going back to stock.

Hello
Need some help figuring out how to go back to stock.
I have already downloaded the latest TWRP backup and recovery for my CID (621). Used 1.92.709.1 version by @topjohnwu.
I put it into the TWRP Backup folder and restored it. Now phone bootloops when I turn it on.
The question is: what am I doing wrong?
(I was running LeeDroid 4.00 Nougat ROM on the moment I decided to go back to stock)
I had the same problem yesterday when I was trying to revert to stock my self.
Turned out I had forgot to format (Did a wipe instead) the data partition and the now un-decryptable encryption was messing up the boot process.
Rebooted into twrp and formated (Not wiped) the data partition -wich also removes the encryption- and it booted normally.
I still had some other issues though, think it's because I was recovering from a sort-off allready messed up backup I guess, so I ended up flashing back the stock recovery and did an RUU update to the most recent stock nougat from SD instead. As a bonus I was able to do a Oreo OTA the moment it booted the forst time.

Click to collapse
Is your firmware newer than 1.92.709.1? If so you'll either need a newer backup that matches your firmware version or an RUU.zip that is the same or newer than you current firmware version.
What made you want to go back?

Can't restore backup through TWRP (bootloop)

Hello. I wanted to try out some custom ROMs for this phone few weeks ago but before flashing anything I did a backup of stock ROM in TWRP on external SD card. I used this backup once back then and it was working but now, after few weeks on custom ROM, I can't restore it properly anymore. Restoring process in TWRP goes as expected, without any errors, but when I want to boot system it goes into bootloop.
Anything can be done to fix it assuming the backup itself isn't corrupted? I don't know what else details might be relevant here.
