Hi, i am new in this forum...
I have a problem with the installation of the "powersaving mod", that i found in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/xperia-powersaving-mod-xperia-t3323799)
when i try to install it from recovery, i got two errors: 1)footer is wrong and 2)signature verification failed...
i have installed the cyanogenmod 12.1-20160710-NIGHTLY-amami... maybe for this reason this mod can't be installed??

Wild guess - are you using Cyanosis recovery? If so, replace with TWRP and it will work.

Alright ive been trying now for a few days to flash a new cm7 nightly. Ive tried a few things, diffrent versions of cwm an tried via rom manager (install rom from sd card), tried fake flash a recovery and flashing .img recovery but i always get the same error.
Something like "finding package, opening package, cant open /sdcard/"romname", installation aborted"
Does anyone know of an easy way to fix this?
I want a new rom or atleast a newer nightly

In CWM it'll be "toggle signature verification" I had this problem once and that was the solution!

No that didn't change a thing :/
The error is

Finding update package...
Opening update package...
E:Can't open /sdcard/cm_bravo_full-143.zip

Anyone?
I had the same issue a while ago, re-downloading the ROM zip worked for me
Sent from my CM7.1 Desire using XDA Premium App
Yeah re-downloading the ROM was best fix for me, I remember it did it twice or three times before one actually worked.. alternatively you could always flash a different recovery (properly not fake flash) and see how that goes.
To make sure the download is complete, check the md5sum of the downloaded file in case you have one to compare. Otherwise, you could ask in the corresponding thread for it.
i flashed the newest cwm i found and still got the same problem, i've downloaded about 10 times but i always get the same error.
But i how do i find out the md5sum?
hmm.. try the recovery from my signature, flash it via fastboot.
Nothing worked so far.
Will try RA-Desire CM recovery when i get home ...
sorry for puting it here, i wanted to ask the question to al92dev on his thread but am not allowed yet

There could be a problem with the download. Can only be certain after checking the MD5 checksum.
I had the same problem with 1.1. Checked the MD5 redownloaded and now perfect.

Hey, I just tried flashing CaponModN2 2.0 and got the same error when I used the install from the OTA updater (It went into the Android Recovery)
I restarted the phone in CWM recovery and it flashed fine.
Maybe that could be the problem
how about trying to unzip the file first chek if the file is crash ?
From my experience, the problem is while downloading the rom.. Seems like the antivirus on my pc is causing the trouble.. So everytime i download any roms from now on, i make sure that my av is turned of..

Hi,
I can't flash this ROM onto my N5100: [ROM][N5100]Official CM 10.2[JLS36I][11/18/13]
I have twrp 2.6.0 installed and everytime I try to install the zip it says error executing updater binary in zip and it fails.
Also tried this with other recovery, but always getting the same error.
I must be doing something fundamentally wrong, can anyone help me out?
Thanks for any hints.
Try the version of TWRP that I made here or one of civatos CWM recovery.
Cool, thanks, worked like a charm. :good:

I try to install this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2774542
but it says Error status 7 I read how to fix the error by changing the script, yet still gives me the error status 7 and error status 6.
Can someone help me and say that I can not install it?, Thanks.

That's a very common problem, please do some research before posting a thing.
Anyway, this is due to Old Recovery problem, you recovery seems to be CWM 5.0.2.8,you'll have to upgrade it.
You have a wild choice between TWRP 2.7.1.0 , CWM 6.0.4.9 or PhilZ Touch Recovery
What I recommend and what I use is PhilZ Touch Recovery, flash any of the three I mentioned then you can flash my ROM with no problem.
Finally, hit the Thanks button if I Helped

Hello, thank you very much for your answer.
But I will not be able to test your rom since I am not able to change the recovery, I have tried all the methods and ways that I have found in tuturiales, but I can not change the recovery.
Thank you very much, greetings.

Hi guys,
I tried to flash LineageOS 13.0 and 14.1 but it fails and I get shown the error "Error executing updater binary in zip". Since I am no professional for sure I thought I might ask you guys. How can I fix this?
If you need further information about my device dont hesitate to tell me.

If I missed a thread discussing this issue please excuse me.
Kind regards

edit: Just noticed I posted this in the wrong forum, sorry!
edit2: Alternatively I'd be happy if someone could upload or link me a backup of the stock rom. For some reason mine got corrupted

You need to update your TWRP if you are going to flash any rom. That is why you are getting errors... https://dl.twrp.me/hima/
You can find a stock rom here. https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve...-verizon-htc-one-m9-marshmallow-3-37-t3318605

Thanks mate, gonna try it asap!
Edit: Tried now a couple of ROMs. Most of the time I just get the same error and if it does indeed install, after rebooting it just goes directly into the bootloader again and wont boot the ROM
Weird thing is than I had it working before with that recovery and lineageOS 13

Hi mate,
I updated the firmware with "3.37.605.28_NoBoot_TWRP3.1.0-0_firmware.zip" from the "★ ☆ [6.0][FIRMWARE/RUU] Verizon HTC One M9 Marshmallow 3.37.605.28 Resources ☆ ★" thread (cant post links)
I managed to update twrp to the most recent one and I can finally install LineageOS 13. But for some reason it installs the rom but after the LineageOS bootanimation it keeps shutting down and rebooting.
Any idea on how to fix this? So far you were really helpful mate!
Edit: I always got "updater process ended with error 7" when installing a ROM so I edited the file "updater-script" with this guide: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2522762
Edit2: Now my phone will reboot after booting no matter which ROM I use. Not even my backup will work now.

Something probably got ginked up in the process and I would start over with RUU at this point.
Back up anything important on your internal memory as this will wipe your device and ruu - https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=65358513&postcount=4 - then factory reset from stock recovery and flash 3.37.605.28_NoBoot_Twrp3.1.0-0 - https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=65358020&postcount=2 and you're on your way again
