Hi all,
My O2 XDA Orbit (Artemis) developed this problem recently... I can't hear any sound at all through the "ear speaker" (<-- sorry, I don't know what the technical term for it is) while making or receiving a call. I can hear sound through the loudspeaker (I assume it's a different speaker) after turning on the speakerphone though.
On the face of it seems to be a hardware problem to me (maybe a loose connection?), but is there any chance it's a software problem? Has anyone else experienced a similar problem?
Would appreciate the experts sharing their valuable knowledge... thanks!
I have same problem...
But no solution yet
I have similar problem but I think it's software. It only happens when I switch phone to vibrate or silent mode. I can see that both volumes (speaker and ear speaker) goes down, but I cannot volume up only ear speaker, because automatically device turns into "Sound on" mode. It's very strange because I have this "feature" only from 2 weeks. I had not this before.
Can anyone give me some solution? Thanks in advance
I have the same problem today. There is no idea on how to solve the problem? Thanks
I am experiencing some issues with the front speaker when dialing and answering calls. i have never twick the volume or use it at the max volume. when is in use I can hear some noise like vibration like if I have blown the spaker! I am wondering if is a radio issue or if is a hardware problem? I am using evo pro 2.1 room.
any help will be appreciate.
Has anyone else experienced a problem where the earpiece buzzes when the volume reached a high enough level? For me it happens during the loud part of a word when someone is talking (typically the beginning to the middle of the word), and on the highest two in-call volume settings. I can crank it down two notches and the issue disappears, but it just seems unlikely to me that the highest two settings would be unusable.
I got the same issue too, but only with certain callers though. The worst is when I call *611 to Verizon customer service and listen through the automated rep/music. It would create a buzz or static/distortion sound in the earpiece. Kinda annoying, but luckily I use the bluetooth headset 99% of the time. I just tested the earpiece today on a normal call and can confirm to you that I got similar problem, but again on certain callers only.
Can anybody else confirm this?
Hi all,
I'm having a problem with my Xperia S that started manifesting itself a few days ago. Basically when I receive a call the sound doesn't come out of the earpiece but instead comes from the back of the phone, as if the loudspeaker was being used, but very quietly.
I don't believe this is a headphone issue as I've never used headphones on my Xperia S.
The earpiece works under normal phone conditions, e.g. Turning volume up on the home screen producer a bleep as normal.
Turning on loudspeaker during a conversation will basically make the sound already coming out the back of the phone go loud as is expected when activating the loudspeaker option.
Has anyone else ever experienced this or know of a fix?
I have already tried the 'plug headphones in and out repeatedly' fix which hasn't worked.
I don't think detecting the headphones being plugged in is the issue.
Any advice welcome!
Does anyone think this could be a software issue? Someone in the Sony Forums has recommended doing a repair on my phone, which just means flashing a firmware file to the phone. I can do that, but it doesn't seem like that would be the issue, would it?
Hello! Recently I've bought Galaxy A52s and noticed one issue. During the audio playback or calls on low volume, and for a few seconds after the call or video has ended, there is some static and slightly crackling sound coming from the speaker and earpiece. Has anybody encountered that issue and is it a defect or it's just how speakeres work on? Should I return it or just ignore it?
Return it, never experienced this in 3 A52s

Click to collapse
Return it, not an issue with my unit.
Cheers
