Huawei SD card update fail... - Huawei Ascend P6, Mate

EDIT: I found out that I can boot in fastboot and recovery mode. So flashing TWRP or stock recovery is no problem anymore. I currently have a phone without any firmware on it. TWRP also says that there is no ROM installed. So it is still a problem for me to flash any firmware. Can someone help me out with flashing stock firmware?
I have done the following steps. Note that I have extracted these images from B125 using the Huawei Update Extractor.
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot reboot
Then, I have put the B125 UPDATE.APP in a dload/ directory in the root of my SD card and tried to update by holding the three buttons, which results in this:
Code:
E:failed to mount /system (Invalid argument)
Formatting /cache...
Installation aborted.
cust copying files...
copy cust files successed!
Would really appreciate it if someone could help me out!
Hi there,
Today I made the most stupid mistake ever. I am trying to get back to B132 International by following this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/ascend-p6/general/how-to-downgrade-4-4-4-2-change-chinese-t2951566. However, I kept getting the following message: "Huawei sd card update fail...", which basically does not let me force flash any firmware. Knowing this, I installed TWRP and wiped everything, including internal storage. The only thing that I am left with is fastboot and the stock recovery, which also does not let me perform any force update. In addition, I cannot completely turn off the phone, because it boots to the Huawei splash screen on default. Is there anything I can do?
I could really appreciate the help.
Kind regards

I found out that there is something wrong with internal partitions. In specific, I tried installing B513, which results in the following error message:
Code:
E : Unable to mount '/data'
Does anyone know how I can solve this problem?

Most of the problems with switching between diferent versions of the systemis that huawei forced us to make a middle step before update. So if you had kitkat and you want to get back to jellybean its a must step. The deal here is not that you bricked the phone but that you are using a wrong version to update. So before you went freestyle with the phone which android did you had on it and exactly did you do to get to this point?

It was on Kitkat before I started flashing. So the first thing that I tried was to flash the Unicom 2.0 to downgrade back to Jellybean, however, that already gave the error that says: Huawei SD card update fail.... Then I have tried to flash many stock ROMs, which all gave the "Huawei SD card update fail..." error message. I have the feeling that it has to do with the VERLIST, because that part is never giving an OK.
Yesterday, I managed to get custom ROMs installed like CM11, Omni, and such. Unfortunately, none of them can connect to the carrier network, which makes it impossible to make phone calls So I really want to try flashing a stock ROM again, in the hope that it will fix the problem, but I can't for some reason.
Would really appreciate it if someone can help me out with this.

Why dont you go for the newest stock update? There is a chinese version of kitkat which is not released in europe but you can still flash it on the phone. The most usable is B708. Find it and try updating.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, there is no way for me to flash it. It gives me the same error: "Huawei SD card update fail..." :crying:

Then this will be my last suggestion to try to help. Had seen before that some users pass through the error when putting the update file in the internal storage of the phone. So try that and see what happens. Same as on sd card, make a dload folder in root directory of the storage and put the update.app there and try to update with stock rec.

HTC One X Semi Bricked NEED HELP.

Hello,
Well, I was trying to install some new kernels but somehow my phone went into Boot Loop.
After that, I accidentally formatted my system and system memory. End Result: Their is nothing in my SD Card Right now.
I have searched in this forum and others for 2 days and still can not find a proper solution. Now, my laptop and computer does not recognize my device through adb device. I tried to insall stock rom through RUU but it gave an Boot Loader Version Error. However, I managed to install philz recovery and tried to mount memory but still no luck, I can not push files through adb as it can not recognize my device.
My CID is 02_001. I downloaded the matched CID RUU (RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_O2_UK_1.26.206.2_Radio_1.1204.90.13_release_251230_signed) but it didnt work. My image number of the phone (I dont know what is this actually) is like 4.xxxx and the image number of the RUU is 1.xxxx.
The HBOOT version is 1.72 S ON.
Can someone by someway, please give me the link of UPDATED RUU so that I can flash to stock rom or just help me to find a way to transfer custom rom to my phone memory so that I can flash a custom rom.
I was using VIPERX ROM 4.1.1,as the phone was draining alot of battery so over efficiently I tried to FLASH BRICKED KERNEL.
NOW I AM STUCK, HELPLESS and after losing the battle I am posting this thread.
PLEASE HELP ME WITH A SUITABLE ANSWER.
I would prefer to install stock rom but it wont work I guess because of the updated HBOOT version.

[Q] Help me to flash ROM. Its bricked/stuck, I dont know.

My Huawei p6 is stuck at Huawei Ascend Logo screen or in TWRP menu.
Here is the history :
-From the stock Firmware, its been updated to B132 > B512 > B708
-TWRP installed and rooted.
-SD card partitioned and used Link2sd.
- Phone was working quite OKEY.
What Happened :
- I was fumbling with the phone, and accidently I used TWRP Advanced wipe (data, dalvik cache, system)
Now whats happening :
- Phone stuck at Huawei Ascend Logo screen
- If i press vol+ + vol - +power buttons, it goes to TWRP menu.
- in the TWRP menu, it shows NO OS INSTALLED at various places.
What I tried :
- I put the B708 zip file to SD card and tried flashing from TWRP.
md5 file not found, failed installing zip. FAILED.
- I tried B512 zip file too. same result.
Now the phone is always ON, in the Huawei Ascend Logo screen.
Note :
- I am not an expert user.
- The phone is not getting detected in windows.
How shall I get back to the B708 OS or atleast the stock firmware ?

Thanks for the support Tileeq.
The ROM file is
" B708_Repack_NeoArnet.V3". The one I used to update to kitkat 4.4.2, got from the XDA forum itself.

You cannot use TWRP to flash neoarnet's rom. It is an update.app file, so you need to flash the stock recovery onto your device, and then create a dload folder in the root of your SD card, and place the update.app file into the dload folder.
Do a local update using the Updater application.

No, the updater app is on your home screen.
It might be called System Update, or similar, if you're not on Emui 3.0.
How did you install TWRP? The process is the same, except you need the stock recovery. I can't give a detailed description now, but there are many guides explaining the process.
i got the same problem, my phone ran out of battery and then put it to charge and got stuck on the android logo, i cant install any rom, it was updated to kk with emui 3.0, i put the dload folder on the sd card root and when i try to open it it only appears ../, and if i put the boot.img on the sd card root it tries to install the os but tells me e: signature verification failed and stop installing

I think I missed to tell you that, it seems the phone got no OS now. Its not going further the Huawei Ascend Logo screen at Startup. Then how shall i run the updater ? I am confused.
Or are you telling me that I should install the STOCK RECOVERY just like I did TWRP ?
Wont it be easier if I find a TWRP compatible ROM ZIP (kk, emui 3.0 ) ?

Yep, you did. And yes, I meant that you can install the stock recovery the same way you installed TWRP (using fastboot commands).
I just assumed since you already had that firmware, that you'd want to update to that, but yes, it will be easier to just install a ROM that that you can flash through TWRP.
Let me know how it goes.

I flashed emui_3.0_b709_by_oxalis_p6-u06_v04.zip this time. ( it was b708 before in the phone)
Using TWRP and the rom zip file.
It was a success.
But now there is no network !!!!! No sim inserted !!!

[Q] stuck after installing firmware

i flashed new firmware to my htc one m8
I got into recovery and changed the name firmware file.
but now in the recovery it doesn't recognize my internal storage, kind of. it says 0 mb.
And when I try via adb to push a file to it it fails. (adb push filename.zip /sdcard/)
so it seems like i only have the external card now working.
what can I do?
I'm currently in the stage where i have the firmware file in the right name and it keeps asking me to update, if i remove the external card, i can get into recovery change the name, and then i see it won't read the internal storage like i wrote up here.
but after I change the name i can get into fastboot mode.
I currently have recovery mode - twrp 2.8.0.3
p.s I think my internal storage does work, cause i can go into recovery mode(twrp), my external_sd was formmated
before i used to update the firmware, so it has nothing except for that file
You're not flashing the firmware through recovery, are you?
No, i flashed, with the guide here, via an external card, changing the name of the firnware so the hboot would recognize it.. and update it

I have TWRP 2.8.0.6. You can download TWRP manager from Play Store, it has a list of TWRP versions you can install. The app installs them too. Everytime I used the app to install it, it says it failed but it actually works, just install, then say ok to the failed install pop up and reboot into recovery and it'll be there.
Edit: As soon as the firmware has flashed successfully, boot up and delete the firmware file off of your external SD card so it doesn't keep asking you to update.

I have no OS now.
I need to download it, and flash it via fastboot. I'm wondering if that's the problem that the internal storage is giving me these problems or it has nothing to do with it.
Does a different firmware require different twrp versions?

Not as far as I know. Your best bet man is probably to download an RUU and just flash that through fastboot or the external sd card method. Then after that, flash the TWRP then put a ROM zip on your phone and flash that way.

No, an RUU is a complete system install. Completely stock with the exception of some RUUs contain root. But it will wipe everything on your phone, all your personal data and what not.

Recovery can't find any file, can't install any zip file

After I got my nexus 5x, I unlocked bootloader and root, and finally I go back official stock 6.0.1. But the camera didn't work fine(sometimes black screen, and then phone reboot). Have to flash CM13.
Following the guide, I did those steps strictly. Yet failed.
- When I tried to install CM13.zip, the TWRP told me I had to decrypt , and need to enter the default password which I don't know/have.
- I tried another way, flash official recovery.img . Failed again: the official recovery told me "can't mount SDcard", update zip file from sd card failed.
How can I install CM13 now? Or, how can I solved the camera issue?
I feel terrible about this, could you guys help?
thank you

Update TWRP to 3.0.0-1
You can't flash anything worth flashing with stock recovery.
Make sure you are using the latest stock version "J" as it has alot of fixes for this like the camera error.

Yes, I'm using the MHC19J build. I still got the camera issue, and tired for that (this is the reason why I want flashing CM13). Do I need to format userdata while I always get the red warning at booting ?

I tried to unroot my Honor 7X and failed

Hi,
So this morning I decided to root my phone (BND-L21)
I did it! But I realise I couldn't use Snapchat since being rooted didn't allow me. After going through various methods, I gave up and was left with the only guaranteed method, which was to unroot my phone.
I got stuck in a bootloop after pressing the unroot button in SuperSU.
I can access TWRP mode, Recovery mode, and the Rescue mode or something.
The Recovery mode which used wifi to reset my phone by installing a fresh rom had failed..
The rescue mode i have no idea what to do with (neither do I have any idea about ADB to help me out here)
In TWRP mode, i wiped everything and formatted data, hoping something would happen because nothing else did.
Everything I tried to do, I would just end up back in the booting screen with "Your device is.....booting...."
On my PC, it recognises my honor 7x in RECOVERY if I type in adb devices.
I'm believe I'm almost at a critical stage of turning my phone into a brick.
I tried downloading stock rom and installing it from TWRP mode but it came up with "UPDATER PROCESS ENDED WITH ERROR: 9"
Please help. I can't afford another one, nor do I have a backup phone. It says I have no current ROM if I intend to reboot my phone.

formating in twrp was not a good idea. These huawei phones have "other" files that system needs stored on /data. The stock recovery skips these files when doing a reset, twrp does not.
you should probably flash fullOTA to get back to working stock now.
try to follow this guide.

Um, the situation changed quite drastically.
I can't access TWRP anymore and when I plugged my phone in to my computer it detects it as a disk drive...
Can I still flash stock rom using sd card or anything else?
(Also, i sent it to a repair shop today and they'll get back to me tomorrow.)
