I literally just answered this question yesterday. Just scroll down several posts previous to yours.
I see you're new to the forum, so please search and read before making new threads; and post in existing applicable threads whenever possible. (if you need further info). Avoid making new threads asking the same questions that have already been answered very recently.

Not your post (in another forum section). I said to scroll down in this forum section, for a thread that was just posted on July 12:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/htc-one-m8-apps-t3416625
My point was to look at the forum (and also search) before posting; as you literally posted the same question, another user posted the day before (and was already answered).

It has only been posted here, what, a thousand times? Please read the rules of this site before posting. A quick search of the filename referenced would have found all the previous posts.
Mods, please delete this thread.

Glad to see you posted it though leplic. The info was known but buried pretty deep. Your link to HTC's pdf was actually the first time I read the official notice.
Keep it up!

Thread Help Attn:Mods/Admins

Well, for about the past month, NisseDILLIGAF and I have been attempting to change the owner of this thread [REF][2008-11-06 #2]Customizing TF3D - The Collection! in the Diamond theme forum, so that i would be able to edit it. After a few messages with mods and admins, it seems that this would be rather hard to do. Would it simply be easier if I were to create a new thread with the same title and for you [the mods] to transfer all posts to that thread and delete the old thread?

Great, So you know what it means to take over the thread..?
You update the posts with all the new stuff that are posted on 'Themes, Applications and Software' forum..
and maybe some other parts of the xda forum, but keep it in the xda forum...
ok.. I will PM a moderator and ask him to let you take over the thread
Thanx for the help

Just PM a mod, if it can't be done then open a new thread. If the posts can't be moved, which I doubt can be done, just post a link to the original thread with a note "for prev info click here". Then have the original thread closed.
Okay, thanks!
Let me put it to you this way.
The only way, I think, an thread owner can change is if You merges the thread with a post that occurred BEFORE the First Post of the thread did. Since you have no posts that were created before the Thread you with to Own, it cannot be done.
Sorry.
Thanks for the help, just made a new thread

Can I delete my own thread?

Can I delete my own thread or post? If so, how?
No, you canĀ“t
Ask nicely a Mod to do it for you
That would be interesting : and dangerous oif we could
ikr seriously
if we could correct our own post or thread if in wrong place .. the threads of space and time would unravel. cause now i dont wanna post in .. what maybe the right place for fear of double posting

Hi,
To answer your questions in more detail:
No you cannot delete your own posts, only moderators and admins can do that, this is done to make sure no relevant information is lost.
You are allowed to edit your own post, you can do this by clicking the edit button.
You cannot move your thread, however feel free to contact a moderator with the request to do so either by a PM to the moderator who's active in your device forum or by reporting the post (little red triangle in the top right corner of each post).
Hope that helps,
Flar

[Q] Whats Wrong ? posting problems

im not sure whats happening but im not able to post any thing.... not even on my own thread.... peoples are replying and i cant say TY or ask something...
and forum doesnt even show me the reply button
and last thing, when i try to do something it takes to a messge that i dont have acces or rights kinda thing
this is got what i get when i try to post a reply on my thread,
imrameez, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
1. Please Read: New members (those with fewer than 10 posts) are not permitted to post to development-related forums. The developer forums are intended for experienced users and developers to discuss ways to improve technical aspects related to ROMs and Software. While you may be an expert, we ask ALL users to avoid posting questions about using or installing ROMs and software in the Development Forums. To encourage this new Users can read but not post in these forums.
To ask Questions about developing your device, installing ROMs, software and themes you must go to the Q&A or General Forum.
Remember, your question has very likely been asked already, so please search before posting.
2. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
3. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
You must get to certain number of posts to have all XDA features unlocked
If problem persists please contact the forum Admin
The message explains it.
That thread should not be in development.
Users with less than 10 posts cannot make posts in development.
Rofl, hes on 12 posts now all those repeated comments he made instead of just editing the first one has actaly helped fix the problem.
me too.but i think its gonna to post here first to get enough posts.

Sorry solved. Please delete

Just for future reference, no matter how "dumb" you may think your question was when you figured out the answer, it's always best forum practices to do the following:
1. Leave your original question
2. Add "[Solved]" to your original title
3. Editing your original post with the answer to your question but make sure to clearly separate from the question. (Usually by adding a few blank lines to the end of your original post and then starting the answer to your question/problem with "Edit:" and state something like I found the answer here [link] or the answer is xx).
Not trying to be mean or anything, just making a statement as chances are, if you've thought of a question, someone else has thought of it and is probably searching for it aswell.
I mean haven't you searched at any forum and found those threads with the same question only to find the OP (original poster) to post "Solved" and not how he has solved his problem/question.
