Ive recently started messing around with my sm-t217s after having had it for 2 years. I rooted it using a o e touch root and now i get a prompt that an app has tried accessing a secure system and been blocked. Ive tried everything to fix this and the answer i keep finding is to lower my security level to nirmL but i dont have the option to do so. Someone please help

Hello all,
I am new to this thread and was directed here by a friend of mine after attempting to root my phone and being unsuccessful.
I did this last night and was using unrEVOked 3.2. Basically what the error I was receiving was the my firmware was too new??
How do I solve this problem? I have already hard reset my phone (multiple times) and tried running. I had Debugging enabled, but basically everytime it would run and either get stuck at a certain point or just not work at all. Anyone have any quick fixes I should try or suggestions?
*Sidenote: I've had my EVO for 1.5 years and have gotten most of the updates.
Thanks and sorry if this is a redundant thread.
Revolutionary.io + Google = success
Or Google search + "how to root evo4g 2.3.3" - " + reading = success
There is a search bar at the top of this website that you can enter in something to this extent: "how to root htc evo 4g"

I personally just watched a Video on "youtube" just because this day in age, its easier to watch it being done than it is to read it

Tried using this method /watch?v=NpO314djZwU superoneclick used it to install adb drivers then tried Root with Restore by Bin4ry v33 just get The system cannot find the path specified. get the same message with EasyRecoveryV0.42 yet when i plug in the device it pops up in device manager. Came here hoping the wizard here could help hell i even contacted contelusa.net and asked if or how i can root it and any help would be appreciated.

I feel your pain, I have a 730G (third replacement for my original black Friday purchase in 2012) and have suffered with the dumbest, most solvable clock drift problem I have ever been unable to solve for lack of root. The sophix tablets are JUST usable enough without root to warrant not throwing them as far as you can in the direction of the nearest cliff, but only just. I can tell you that life gets MUCH better when you can install some fixes, boosters and tweaks . I couldn't solve the clock drift problem completely due to a firmware bug that keeps restoring the wrong timezone ( I think), but I can get around it by using ClockSync as root.
So it is with some pleasure that I tell you that I believe you can root the 740 using the technique for the 730! I used a tool that I found here on XDA called 'Razors Edge' which runs a batch script that will root the device.
Take a look at this thread:

There is literally no solution yet i have tried everything and the system data keeps growing but this doesnt happen to my mom or dad and they have the same phone ? im so confused ?
Here's the issue, that I've resolved, but I'm looking for a reason why this happened.
Have a Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) running Android 5.11, rooted and running xposed.
Arrived home a few days ago and my PIN is no longer recognized to unlock the device. I been using the same pin for months and nothing of any significance had changed on the device. A couple of days earlier I had upgraded busybox and a certificate I use for an email account had expired, but I've restarted the device and used the lock screen pin multiple times after both events. Very strange that the device just stopped recognizing the pin as the correct one.
Anyway I was, fortunately, able to find a way to get into the device and authorize adb connections and took care of the issue (without having to reflash anything).
Anyone have any ideas why the device would just stop allowing the pin to unlock the device?

Can you please point me in the direction of a good guide to follow to root my p607t on official 5.1.1?
I've looked all over the place and there's no real confident answer out there and I'm afraid to mess anything up, cause boot loops, ect. I've got lots of experience rooting Androids in the past but this specific T-Mobile modem sounds like it is super picky.
Much thanks to anybody who can help :good:

She is an elderly woman and needs a phone that she can access her emails with . Ive tried flashing using odin, and it completes on odin's end, but it erases it after new start up. Ive changed some of my emails due to obvious reasons and i dont remeber the passcode for my gmail account that i used to set this phone up. Plz help. Im actually trying to do something nice for someone.....and this s*** right here is bugging me out. Ive tried combination files and the latest firmware....but to no avail. Tips n tricks anyone?
