Hi,
I guess I am not the only looking for a such answer... but could we expect a 2.0 update for the Cube i7 Remix tablet?
If not, what are the blocking factors?
Thanks for your feedbacks
That's plain simple : there is no ota for remix supported device, the only exception until now being the ultratablet [1.0 --> 1.5 --> 2.0]. For the others, go **** yourself.
I also have the cube i7. I don't use it anymore... too large. I prefer far beter the teclast x98 plus.

Update to the latest version
It's based on Android x86 6.0 RC2
Sound works fine.
Rotation is 180 degrees out of whack.
I use Ultimate Rotation Control to manage this.
Good luck
I tried it, but the tablet becomes very hot. Probably cpu scalling not work.
Hi, can we install android to this tablet?

Is it possible to run Windows 10 and Android Remix in Dualboot?
Greetings
Does palm rejection work, or does it exist at all in RemixOS?
caution remix seems to have thermal issue with some windows tablet,i recommend to not use remix and avoid thermal damage if your device become hot in regular use.

Any updates on being able to run Remix OS v3.0 100% working on this tablet?
Even after reading the mega-threads on the two setups it's hard to decide which is the better way to go, if you have the choice. You can see the new PX5 octa-core units running either 8.0 or 6.0, so which to buy? The issues I see from the posts include:
- 8.0 hasn't been fully rooted, and rooting might be turn out to be difficult
- while 8.0 looks somewhat "fresh" with the not quite so fresh anymore tile styling, it has that ugly sidebar, which will require rooting to get rid of
- it seems to be hard to autorun apps on 8.0, so you can't just start up into a custom launcher
- does 8.0 really have less problems interfacing with hardware? With the variety of WiFi, Bluetooth, volume control, microphone etc. problems described in these threads, is the old establish 6.0 better at handling them, or does it lack drivers for newer versions of things like CAN bus interfaces or Torque BT adaptors?
- seems you need 8.0 for 4GB ram, does that make 8.0 worth it on its own?
It seems an even split for which version manufacturers are putting on these units. And it seems an equal number of people with 6.0 want to upgrade to 8.0 as people with 8.0 who want to downgrade to 6.0.
So to a new buyer, would you say get 8.0 or 6.0? I don't think there are many PX5's with 7.1 for some reason, which is why I left that out.
Thanks!
I thought there would be lots of people with views on this - no strong opinions? I thought this would be the first thing to consider when choosing a unit...no?
Same questions here as well.
I've a Dasaita px5 2gb 6.0 and now, about a month I've upgraded to malaysk 8.0 rom.
So, talking about 8.0:
-Fully rooted, everything works perfectly with supersu in 8.0 too
- Google maps works with 8.0, with 6.0 it doesn't
-Smooth performance even with 2gb ram.
-Spotify doesn't pop up
-Working custom launchers
-Working torque
-Autostart working with malaysk rom
-CANBUS working normally
-Bluetooth quality a2dp better than 6.0 (sd-968 module)
Problems with 8.0:
-some users that use md725 Bluetooth module related that is not working due to missing drivers, but a few users says it's working.
-apps force close when you do fast boot. It's difficult to decompile mtcmanager.apk and write the whitelist to keep apps in memory.
-Google contacts not syncing properly to work with voice command. There are some methods at xda to try to use mtcdialer, but it's not working for everyone. You can use manually touching the contact, but not working properly for voice command.
-EQ is working, but fader and balance not working for me (this issue I don't know if is happening with other users too)
In general, I think that Android 8.0 even with 2gb ram worth it.
Thanks megatm! Exactly the info that will help a lot of people who are trying to decide.
Much appreciated!
Hi,
I am kind of irritated with the lots of features present in the andriod OS. I just want to know is there any OS, other than andriod which works perfectly.
My Requirements :-
1. Phone Calling with Volte feature
2. Lots of Web-Browsing ( any Browser will run for me l
3. Telegram And WhatsApp only.
4. Some 2-3 important Andriod apps.
Please is there any OS with these features. I thought about the Sailfish OS, but in the thread some are claiming that Volte is broken in it.
A guy is already working on ubuntu touch, so maybe we have to wait.
Install viper os nougat.. Forget bout everything else..
Or try arrow oreo.. No customization present .. Just basic phone . like stock android..
+ point vilte works as well if you have updated to 4.4 kernel..
Buy cheap android phone .. Nothing other than whatsapp works .. Android go phone.

But Andriod GO phones come with less battery and less Raw performance.

You are right. On paper it may seem so but my mom's Nokia 1 is smooth af. But if you want a decent Android go phone for the redmi go. Storage is like 8-16 gb, 720p display, okay-ish camera (but still good for the price) and 1gb of RAM which is enough. Almost forgot about the battery which I guess is 3500 mAh.
I don't know what Google has done (actually, I know exactly what they have done) but Android go running butter smooth on so minimal specs is amazing.
p.s: Android 9.0 is out.
I had been a long time user of OPPO devices and have gone on to like the ColorOS interface over Android. Now I have been gifted a Samsung A70 and want to check if I could install the latest available ColorOS on A70?
No that is not possible .
No, some developer have to port it to make it work on A70. Looking at the scene very few developers are interested in the device. we only see two custom roms for the device.
You may convince a dev by gifting him the device.
But if you dont like the Samsung UI,
easiest option you have right now is just to find a theme that looks like it or have Nova launcher + theme.
It's not that I disklike the UI on Samsung. Also, I run Microsoft Launcher...so it is not about the UI.
I'd rather have the ColorOS version of Android on my device. ColorOS had so many inbuilt features, IMO, that were much better.
Anyway, thanks for the replies.
Hi Guys
I have a Samsung Laptop and read about the feature that i can use my Tablet as a Second Screen .. Pretty Nice. Unfortunatly i need One UI 3.1 or higher to use this feature . Are there any roms here who have OneUi integrated ? Or can i just install it on Lolipop too?
Thank you for your help
