[Q] [Question][ROM] Fastest / Efficient Rom 4.4 -5.0 for GT N5100

Hey everyone!
Since I have the Galaxy S5, I am not using my Note 8.0 as full media device anymore.
Mainly for reading and taking notes and that's the point.
Currently I've got the CivZ_FlexNote8.0-KK with Android 4.4.2 and the CivZ SphereKat Rev4.0 Kernel.
It's working, that's is not the problem - but I want a really slim, fast and efficient ROM.
So, what is the most efficient ROM right now?
SlimKat?
Thanks for every answer!
To be honest, stock does a great job. I trim down Google services and freeze what I don't need. Been there with modded ROMs, and find more trouble than what they are worth. Rather mod my stock ROM and be happy everything I want works smoothly as long as Google does not mess with updates.
This Note 8.0 will be the last Android device I'll get... Sticking with Linux, Apple, or Windows devices. never in my life have I had such an issue with an OS, if you can call Android an OS.

How to update to TouchWIz 6.0

Hi all,
I would like to know, if it's possible to do it, how to update from TouchWiz 5.0 to TouchWiz 6.0 on Galaxy Tab S 10.5 (wifi). I have the Galaxy S7 phone (with TouchWiz 6.0) and prefer that version of TouchWiz to the one I have on my tablet.
I tought that updating my tablet to Marshmallow would automatically put me on TouchWiz 6.0, like on my S7, but that didn't happen. As a side note, I updated to marshmallow manually since I didn't get the Marshmallow update on my tablet yet.
Thank a lots,
Blaccko
Hi again,
So I realized that I have TouchWiz 6.0 on my tablet now. However, I thought that with the same version of Android and TouchWiz, two different devices from Samsung would have the same interface look. Apparently, I'm wrong. How come my S7 and my Tab S have different interfaces (drop down menu is gray on S7 and withe and blue on Tab S for instance)?
Is it possible to get on my Tab S the same interface than the one on my S7?
Thanks again,
Blaccko
Yep, I know what you mean about the blue grey colours. This is actually quite standard practice for Samsung - when they update older devices to newer major Android versions, they don't also "update" the TouchWiz user interface. e.g. The S5 running MM looked pretty much the same as it did on LP. It's the same thing with the Tab S.
Of course, the important thing is that Samsung have done the hard work of getting the various drivers updated from manufacturers, so at the least things are stable. There will definitely be custom ROMs (soon!) that will port the latest UI features over from the latest devices like the S7 and Tab S2
Thansk for your answer!
Where are good places to look for ROMs? Also, what do I need to look for when choosing a ROM (I've never used one before)?
Thanks,
Blaccko
Look in the Android Development section for this device (http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/development) - IronRom seems popular.
Thanks.

Note 10.1 2014 rom port to note 8.0

Hi guys,
Did anyone heard about ported rom from Note 10.1 2014 edition to Note 8.0?
I love portability and handling of 8.0 so I won't to buy 10.1 as it is way too big.
Or at least any other good rom including Note 3 or Note 10.1 2014 software features. Now I own Note 8.0 and Note 3 phone so I want full software compatibility. Now I have different versions of S-Note apk so notes can't be trasferred.

I prefer a Tab4 port. Though i have done a bit of manual picking ported components to make my own customized RPM. The only thing I have as a gripe to customized ROMs is that even though they build on a stock base, they either don't bother with enabling hidden or disabled menus to allow some cool features stuck in various other models, but function on our stock ROMs with a little bit of adding libs or permissions. Like the Spen menu. I have had to install a Diamond ROM secsettings to enable colorblind, accessibility sharing, controls menu, and interaction control. Plus used a ported Neo ui and found it has a hidden feature within it to enable grey scale display in a hidden menu, by long pressing the power saving toggle.

Best oneUI ROM for A3 2017 [A320FL] ?

Do you guys know which one is faster and battery saving between:
S9 port J6, A6 or oreo original stock for my A320FL?
I also saw this one by @Astrako but i don't see any screenshot and it seems to not support face or fingerprint unlock.
Thanks.
EDIT:Anyone know if there is a oneUI rom or kernel for this device that support and have implemented double tap turn off screen? Cause if I install 3rd party apps fingerprint unlock doesn't work.
The lightest and fastest one is j6 port
I'm using s9 port for now but I will go back for j6 because s9 port is not that fast like j6 port
I tried a7 port it's fast battery life also very good but it had issues with Edxposed
Thanks for your feedback @audrius1521!
Any other feedback or experience is very welcome and appreciated!

Can I install OPPO's ColorOS on my Samsung A70?

I had been a long time user of OPPO devices and have gone on to like the ColorOS interface over Android. Now I have been gifted a Samsung A70 and want to check if I could install the latest available ColorOS on A70?
No that is not possible .
No, some developer have to port it to make it work on A70. Looking at the scene very few developers are interested in the device. we only see two custom roms for the device.
You may convince a dev by gifting him the device.
But if you dont like the Samsung UI,
easiest option you have right now is just to find a theme that looks like it or have Nova launcher + theme.
It's not that I disklike the UI on Samsung. Also, I run Microsoft Launcher...so it is not about the UI.
I'd rather have the ColorOS version of Android on my device. ColorOS had so many inbuilt features, IMO, that were much better.
Anyway, thanks for the replies.
