Qualcomm All-Ways - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

Hey Guys,
can we use Qualcomm All-Ways technology with our phone?
Because we have the amazing snapdragon 820 <3
https://youtu.be/v0YNOaqe3cc

Well we can't use the phone for indoor mapping as it doesn't have a barometer or altimeter sensor. And always listening for Google now is also disabled. So I'd say, no we don't have access to All-Ways

LeTV One/X600 s1 Hands on, Antutu, Camera, game, GPS, Battery review

We have got the smartphone Letv One/x600 from Chinese reseller. When i got this white one, i was deeply attracted by this high-end smartphone, as you know, Letv has its main line in producing its TVs, not for smartphones. This time Letv expanded its manufacturing line to produce mobile devices to compete with Xiaomi, Huawei, etc. Letv brings the first high-end smartphone for its customers to shock most of us. And its selling price has broken the industry's rule for most cellphones' manufacturers, meanwhile, it's a big shock for them. Therefore, let's probe into this high-end smartphone with me.

5.5 Inch 1920 * 1080 Pixel FHD Sharp IPS Screen
When it leaked before it was officially announced, the screen to body ratio is much large, and it is said it’s borderless or bezel-less. Letv cellphone has two types, one is 5.5inch, the other is 6.33inch, today i will introduce 5.5inch version for you first. It comes with 5.5inch FHD Sharp IPS screen (1920 x 1080, 403 PPI) display, providing the ultra-clear screen quality when i watch the video, view the photos and so on. Therefore, Letv one can be the best rival of Xiaomi Mi note pro, even iphone 6 plus. It's worthwhile to experience its nice sharp IPS screen, which is more exquisite and superior than the common screen.
MediaTek Helio X10 Octa Core 64Bit 2.2GHz + RAM 3GB ROM 16GB
Letv One or Letv X600 is powered by MediaTek’s Helio X10 (MT6795) 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz , along with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Letv one is the first time to use Mediatek chipest, Mediatek Helio X10 MTK6795 processor, which means most rapid playing or running speed for more efficient operation. I test to play 3D games, the overall running speed is so fast and swift. Meanwhile, it has come with RAM 3GB ROM 16GB, personally, RAM 2GB storage is much enough for me, but Letv one has RAM 3GB, which is able to make me download apps or run the programs more fluently. You will not agree more with me.
13.0MP Back Camera 5.0MP Front Camera
Letv One or Letv X600 has dual camera with 13.0MP Back OIS Camera flanked by a dual-LED, dual tone flash, 5.0MP Front Camera located on the front side of this handset. I can easily use 13MP back camera to take photos clearly and fast to memorize every moment in my life and work. Meanwhile, i use the front camera to make face beautification. I like selfie or self-portraits all the time, this time, i really have my own selfie camera instead of bringing the big digital camera when i go traveling. I can take photos well during the strong or weak light. The 1080p video capture amkes it easy to preserve the important moments, which allows you to shoot crisp, detailed images.
3000mAh Battery
I am really satisfied with the battery with 3,000mAh capacity, it can support up to 10 days of standby time. Meanwhile, i don't have to buy a backup, because i can play it all the day without charging under the environment of normal usage. But if i take a vacation outdoors, i will prepare a power bank to charge fast for my smartphone in case of powered-off situation.
EUI OS
It has broken the record to use it own original and pure EUI OS, which can be one of the most advantages of this smartphone. Android 5.0 Lollipop comes pre-installed on this device with Letv's EUI OS on top of Google's operating system. Therefore, Letv one utilizes its latest and best system to provide customers with better experience in OS.
Support 4G LTE, OTG, WIFI, GPS, Bluetooth, Multilanguage, Play Store, IR Remote Control .etc
This is also a dual-SIM device (micro + micro SIM) which offers 4G LTE connectivity as well. Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.0 are also available here. Of course, it can support Multilanguage and google play store, GPS, IR remote control function like other smartphones. 4G LTE Network lets you surf the Web, access social networks, download apps and stream media. GPS function helps you locate unfamiliar destinations. IR remote control function helps me control my TV, air conditioner or other appliance at home more freely and conveniently. Therefore, do you think Letv one is powerful?
Final Thoughts
In conclusion, Letv one can be the best and first smartphone for Letv to grab a lot of market share in terms of its hardware, software, or its design. Most importantly, it costs its users less than other high-end smartphone such as Huawei p8, Xiaomi mi note pro etc. This 5.5inch FHD smartphone has taken its first step and have a good standpoint in smartphone line. I know it is in stock now, hope you can share with me.
Letv one phone 4G LTE can be used in the United States? I finally bought a Letv One Pro phone, I need to wait 5 days to get my package.

Hi
I would like to buy this phone. But I read on they forum the someone have problem with WIFI, someone have with GSM, someone have a problem with displey - is easy to break it. Please can you tell me more about this phone:
1. Did have problem with WIFI?
2. Did have 480FPS slow motion? (this phone need to have 240FPS and 480FPS slow motion)
3. How much update did they now published? Do you often published update?

How to access Google Contacts on Letv One
Hi, can anyone suggest how to access Google Contacts on Letv One? There a stock dialer app that asks you to sign in with the Letv account, which is useless in the West so far. Also, I've tried many different Contacts apps, but I can't access my google contacts...

I think you can install the play store and install some contact apps from there. Or install aptoide.

Maybe you need to install Google services or something like that.
I got mine today from tinydeal.
Positives
- Display is great. I had no problem out- or inside. It was sunny today, so I think the display will work just fine.
- notifcation-LED up-left
-I like the mute button. I missed it since my last iphone and it's very soild. I hope I don't play with it too much (ruined on my old 3gs by playing with it)
- you can display the battery status in procentage TinyDeal Rom: its pre-activated
- you will have the full 16 GB for apps and stuff. 10,15 GB are free, sadly thats 2,8 GB less than on my Mi3
- USB OTG is avaible on the LeTV SE1. I already asked sandisk for a USB Stick Sample. Stay tuned!
- USB C – i love it!
- just about 50k Antutu points yeah! Tinydealrom: first run 50.000; second 49.000. Devices get warm doing those two benchmark runs
- performance is great. It's like butter.
- yes, its not brezel-less but it's still a beauty!
Neutral Stuff
- It doesn't feature two speakers, just one. the other grill is the microphone.
- no 2D Gla
- TinyDeal doesn't ship the LeTV with LeTV Services
- Tiny Deal installs a Rom with Dt. Sprache.
- I'd like it a little less apple. Even the package is iphone 6
- vibration could be stronger
- there are no notifications on your app icons (like 5 unread messages)
- just 2 micro sims, no nano or normal sized sim
Die Cons
- you basicly can't see the softkeys in bright sunlight .... or any light.
- no sd card slot
- there is really much bloat software installed on the letv one
- … USB-OTG only works via...yes USB C
- the overall feeling is great. BUT the backcover is a pure joke
- no Band20/800 MHz
Benchmark:
Geekbench 3: TinyDeal Rom: 906/4622 // Stable 003S Single Core : 884 MultiCore 4751
Geekbench 3 Battery: TinyDeal Rom: didn't run that // Stable 003S is going to take place tonight
Antutu Benchmark:TinyDeal rom: 50106 // Stable 003S: I can't find antutu benchmark anymore?!
Audio:
Stale (LeTV's) Bugs
- many apps don't work with the LeTV any more, like Modern Combat 5
- no batch install in Play Store anymore
Whats in the future:
I'lll test the LeTV intensive. Make more photos and stuff. Stay tuned

yeah, i know, I even made a tutorial video on how to install it. But tried so many apps, still, can't access contacts. For example, I downloaded the Contacts app, which easily lets you sync it with your Google account. Once you want to do that, it redirects you to phone's settings, which allow only to choose Corporate, Facebook or Skype account. I even tried to set up Google account as corporate, still no result.. Anyway, I think it will be fixed some day. It sucks as all my contacts are in Google.
good price
This smartphone is really affordable. Good price.

Well, at least, you can export them.
Just checking, did you install some google zip with TWRP? I found this one: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6DqRw6CSF8mcnI3ZzRleVVySEk/view
Now, my TWRP is in spanish, any way to get in english?!
EDIT: I downloaded the file 286X_v1_1080_dark.zip from https://s.basketbuild.com/devs/z31s1g/1080/TWRP 286X_v1
Connected the phone to pc, renamed that file to ui.zip, created a folder called "theme" on the TWRP folder on the phone storage and copied ui.zip to that new folder. Done! TWRP in english and themed!
EDIT2: Now, in TWRP, it just doesn't unlock, when it says "swipe right to unlock" it does nothing. No button work there. Oh the power does!
Guys, something is really wrong with the GPS. When driving the accuracy sky rockets to 30+ meters (tested with GPS test plus, get in aptoide). At 80 km/h, the accuracy goes 40+ meters. Yes, meters, not feet. My crappy THL 5000, maintains accuracy always at 3-4 meters. I'm running the last update 5.0.003S.
Anyone here tested it on the road?

How did you install Google Play?
You need to flash Gapps to system via custom recovery, for example with TWRP
I have a guide here (and a link to the needed files)

pixel 3 gps accuracy / chipset

hey all,
does anyone know if the pixel 3 will have that new gps chip that will be so accurate within 30cm or so. i read this somewhere a few months back that we can expect high end smartphones to have this new chipset. i am sorry i dont know what it is called but i think it was a broadcom chip? or perhaps qualcomms new gps chips are also that accurate!

I hope not, I rely on GPS drift when playing Pokemon GO. I can be sitting at the local pub enjoying a pint, when my trainer is across the street at a Gym (Where I can battle or join a raid.)
My Pixel 3 gets a GPS lock very quickly and stays on 3m accuracy so although it isn't getting sub-metre accuracy it is super quick. Also, I got a good GPS lock while flying in a commercial plane at 11,000m at 670km/h. The photos that I took on the plane were all geotagged.

Snapdragon 855 vs Exynos 9820 Benchmarks

There is a lot of debate over the performance between these 2 versions. So put 'em up. Any test or source you feel is relevant to your stance. I'll supply my 855 scores for a few. Please keep it friendly.
My OP didn't post the screenshots correctly.
Xda just takes a while to actually show attached images. Your first post was fine.
In synthetic tests the Exy should be faster, and rightfully so. It occupies more space than the SD855, so I suspect Samsung scaled perf back to match the 855. Now, the SD will probably run better than Exy in emus and native games.

Unless Exynos broke the mold this year, gaming is smoother on SD. If an Exynos user could start posting their results, that'd be awesome for the benchmark debate.
Are you saying that the 9820 is physically larger? If so, Qualcomm did implement a 7nm process to combat the difference.
Can you check what camera sensors you have?
I downloaded AIDA64 and it says I have ISOCELL in my S10+ Exynos version.
I want to know if Samsung is placing Sony IMX sensors on the Snapdragon variant.
I have used Antutu and Geekbench for the scores. Did not do anything else basically. Didn't know if I should have messed with some setting or had to restart for a better score. If I have to do the tests again, please let me know.

Definitely US variant has the best hardware. Snapdragon is better than Exynos and Sony IMX camera sensors are better than ISOCELL.

Yes, the 9820 is larger than the SD855 and 9810. When it comes to games it's hard to gauge the Adreno, since PUBG already runs at 60FPS on the 835, or with HDR on. That means it'll be a while before the 845 starts to choke.

Nah mate you're going too far in misunderstanding about this whole tech.
ISOCELL is also not a brand but a technology name for sensor produced by Samsung, Sony's counterpart is still using barely improved version of BSI, an older technology.
In theory, ISOCELL is superior to pretty much everything else, the only way for it to lose is to have inferior processing, the Pixel 3 makes good use of its IMX363 even if it technically has an older system.
Regarding ISOCELL vs BSI on the same device and same software processing will always come with better result through the ISOCELL. DXomark's review of the S10 used the International version with a 4.32mm ISOCELL, and it is the first in its class.
Also, the IMX sensor in @sireniankyle's screenshot is the selfie front facing camera, you can see the other rear facing camera being an ISOCELL (ultra-wide 1.80mm) as well.
I have attached my Exynos AIDA sensor screens and one of DXOmark's benchmarking sample with the sensor data recorded.
To keep it separated from my previous post:
@twelvematic You shouldn't sell your G975F, we have:
-30%+ more single core performance
-equal or in some cases superior GPU performance (check my other post on the thread)
-unlockable bootloader at any time
-updated proprietary sensors that Samsung has full control on
-proprietary SoC that Samsung has full control on, most OEMS have no control over whether or not Qualcomm will continue supporting their platform with libs after 2 years, that's why most Qualcomm devices started having dead or crippled AOSP support in the last years, it turned from being community friendly into becoming just another American toxic corporation, it deserves to die like one, their patenting game is also dishonest and illegal in many cases.
-potentially superior battery life, Snapdragon users aren't even getting close to my 13.5h SoT record, their battery life drama percentage seems to be higher than ours (battery optimisation guide is coming soon btw)
If anything isn't performing in a satisfying way I am fully assured it can be solved with software updates. This affects all new technologies, and Qualcomm is not the new boy here.
Samsung has the means, they have the experience and media has already applied pressure on this Exynos vs Snapdragon issue for quite some time.
I was very negative about Exynos being potentially lame while waiting for my European pre-order, I do not worry anymore.

Renderscript is very unrelated to 3D performance, and it's also extremely dependant on kernel optimisation.
Why don't you run GFXbench on the Note? You will see what I'm talking about.
Samsung should improve their kernel optimisation game, the silicon is great, they're just lazy, at least my battery is insanely good and no Snapdragon is minimally getting close. That alone is worth more than any loss in benchmarks.
I had both S10+ Exynos 9820 and Snapdragon 855 for a night before selling the Exynos model. Here are some tests which you can access from my google drive folder.
Tests:
- Speedtest
- Antutu
- AiTutu (AI performance using NPU)
- Geekbench
- 3DMark
- Aida64 (specs)

3D Scanning with S20?

I recently got into 3D Printing, so 3D Scanning is a very appealing feature to me.
The S20+ and Ultra Support 3D Scanning out of the box, using the ToF Camera.
Apparently it's available through the AR functionalities in the Camera App.
Does the S20 support it too (Photogrammetry), or is it missing due to the lack of a ToF Sensor?

But 3D scanning would be cool. I do a lot of photos. Be a new one to do
I just got off my s8 to a g9650 s9+ unlocked BL snapdragon So it will be a while before I see one of these but you never know
photogrammetry is software based 3d rendering any device that can take a picture can technically be used.check out meshroom but its completely hardware independant, that being said there are some algorithm that can access depth metadata to make more accurate models but that would require your camera to log both image data and depth in the same file. (so again would come down to software and save format but would require tof lidar sound imaging etc.) so since it takes photos it can create 3d objects.

Question Complete system-wide LTPO?

Thread title says it all. Google decided to cheat a little bit and the LTPO doesn't work in Chrome and other certain apps. In other words, it's locked at 120 Hz. On my OnePlus 9 Pro and my Galaxy S21 Ultra, the LTPO works in absolutely every app and menu everywhere -- meaning that it drops down to 60hz when you don't touch the screen. The system UI within Android 12, along with certain Google apps always stay at 120 hz.
Does anyone know of a way to make LTPO work ubiquitously across the whole entire device?
OLED+SOC dependent feature. Does Google Tensor/ Samsung Exynos support it, is the question. Probably not is the reason why its not working by default

Of course LTPO is a hardware feature. But LTPO is clearly capable on this phoneb- as it's one of the main selling points. It absolutely can support it. Google just needs to implement some build prop changes or something similar.
Yes the AMOLED used on the Pixel 6 Pro is LTPO. That's only half the equation. Maybe a custom kernel can talk to the SOC if the SOC supports it.
SOC support or default kernel is what's hindering the auto-switching from high refresh rate to power saving low refresh rate on the LTPO display.

Why isn't Google doing this as standard? Could it be a Tensor issue?
Maybe a better question would be why is Samsung not implementing this as standard on the SOC designed by them for Google.
Google designed only a small portion of the Exynos SOC (TPU, NPU, ISP etc) used and branded as the Google Tensor. Cost savings
