Hi to the list,
i own tha handsfree kit parrot CK-3300 paired with the
qtek 9000.Since i've upgrade the PDA ROM i have noticed a problem.
When i syncronize the PDA contacts with the Parrot, in the Parrot i find like two phonebooks.
The first one contains all the contacts as i inserted them in the pda but at the end of the names there is added an /H or an /M or an /W.
The second one at the end of the first one without any division, contains all the contacts as i inserted them in the pda but without any added characters and/or letters at the end of the names.
All this, is one under another without any division.
Ifi try to delete the contacts which contains the added letter at the end of the name in the Parrot, it say that it is impossible to delete it.
Anyone can tell mewhy this and how to solve it out?
Thanks in advance for help.
Enzo.
My Hermes has never fully integrated with my Ford Focus BT Handsfree kit. Although I could always make and receive calls, it rarely read the Contacts on my Hermes and, when I scrolled to the Contacts on the car hifi, it would say Phonebook Not Available. On those occasions when it would read the Contacts, when I had an incoming call, it would indicate the number of the caller, but not the name. Once the call was answered, it would sometimes deign to show me the name.
The break through came when I flashed the PDACornerProV17 ROM. This must have a new BT utility. As soon as I had paired my Hermes, I got a pop up on the phone saying "Ford Audio wants access to your contacts. Do you accept this? Y/N". I have never had this before and, as soon as I tapped Yes, my contacts appeared on the car hifi. Now, when i receive an incoming call, I can see the name before I answer it, not after! Additionally, the car kit keeps a log of incoming and outgoing calls, another first.
So, if any of you have a Ford BT kit, and haven't got it to work properly, flash the PDA Corner ROM.
thanks for your report and recomendation also.
glad to know this info
thanks and regards...
By ford bluetooth kit, do you mean the Sync found in the focus/Fusion?
This works on my ROM with Pioneer BT stereos too...

I mean the built-in bluetooth kit, found in all recent UK Ford cars. It is a factory-fitted addition to the normal car audio, giving hands free phone functions and limited voice commands.
is that the BT Phonebook Access Profile (not SIM AP)?

Sorry, don't know the answer to that. But, if this is a new tool introduced into ROMs, this might explain why I got the message 'Ford Audio is trying to access your phonebook', and why the Hermes contact list is much more accessible through the car hifi.
from what i remember theres these other bluetooth modes, one for sms one for phone book and one other one referred to as profiles
the new roms must have this enabled but not full functionality of new email and sms from the phone i remember a friend saying something about 6.1 has this enabled where as before people needed an app to do it with the first 6 releases?? can someone confirm if this is correct ?
Hi,
I have a Raphael and a Parrot Rhythm'n'Blue car radio with bluetooth handsfree.
I could pair them and the contacts are read. The silly thing is, that the contact "John Smith", of whom I have a home and a mobile number gets split into two contacts in the handsfree:
John Smith / H (Home)
John Smith / M (Mobile)
The parrot knows keywords like "mobile" or "private" and the normal way would be to say the name first and after this the type of number you want... This has worled beautifully with my Sony-Ericcsson mobile before.
Is there some switch in Windows Mobile which lets me send each contact as "one" contact? Or maybe any other hints?
Hi Guys,
I've tried a few KIT KAT roms and cannot get my contacts to sync with my car. Call history displays in the car but no contacts. Anybody else have this issue. I have a Kia Cadenza.
Thanks in advance.
This is the first phone I've had (and I've had quite a few) that supported email via the bluetooth MAP profile (usually used by car head units to display/read SMS messages.)
Is there any way to prevent EMAIL messages from going across the bluetooth MAP profile? I've found driving in my car has become a major headache when my car alerts me to all my email (work email) -- but still want SMS messages to work normally.
(I can't block it from my car..)
Thanks
Gary
