Hey guys anybody know how to make the widgets stay after rebooting the device. Everytime I reboot my device my widgets don't reload. Just the place holder. I have to re add my widgets after each reboot. I'm a flashaholic so this happens a lot. Any fixes?
So I'm the only one with this issue. It happens consistently on freedom os. Not on RR. Seems like it an issue with OOS. So I'm the only one?

I am already starting to get full homescreen redraws more and more often all of a sudden when going back to the homescreen from an app. This is reminiscent of the same issue on all previous Android OSs and I loathe it. This also was known to happen often on LauncherPro and ADW, although I am on the stock 4.0 launcher here.
Yes, on the Nexus it recovers more quickly, but it still slows you down for a couple of seconds and looks stupid doing it.
Is anyone else who has widgets on most screens starting to experience complete redraws and have to wait a few seconds for it to recover back up to speed?? I already tried the Terminal command to save the homescreen in memory but it is still happening the same.. It's starting to happen more and more frequently.
EDIT: Ok now it's literally refreshing/redrawing the homescreen icons and widgets every single time I go into any app and hit back or home. Every time. I thought I was done with this crap on this new OS but apparently not at all. How can this be happening and all of a sudden non-stop?
Rebooted and removed the one new widget I had added today, and still, the homescreens have to re-draw before my eyes every single time I go back to them from anywhere else on the phone. WHAT THE ****.

OK, I almost had a heart attack that the phone was going to keep doing this now, but I just figured out why. I was showing my friend the phone and the options in Developer options, and I must have accidently turned on "Don't Keep Activities"...that's why Launcher would terminate every time I left it!! It closes each app when you leave it.
So make sure if this is every happening to you, you check that option!!
Sorry to sound so paranoid guys
I have googled this and come up with NOTHING...so I decided to ask in XDA. Has anyone else been having problems with the facebook widget going blank, unresponsive, and useless until they delete and re-add the widget to ANY launcher? I've tried many different launchers, no change. It's just something that is very annoying, that's all. Any fixes? At my work, other people have been having the same issue for months, but they just deal with it. It's kind of crappy that they haven't fixed this issue in their updates! Thanks for any and all help.
had the same issue ending the background program and wiping the cache fixed it for my
Wiping cache...
Did you mean wipe cache in RECOVERY or in Applications? Thank you!
As title says. VERY annoying; sometimes this widget just stops updating time. And I see from "running services" that "com.android.app.keyguard" is "restarting...". Forever.
This happens a lot after long sessions of use or after a lot of time that phone is charging.
Tried EVERYTHING to fix it and no, I don't want to use another widget. However, other clock widgets have no problems at all. Only the stock one, apparently, doesn't restart after it gets killed (which I don't understand too since I have a lot of free ram at any moment).
I'm on stock rom, I9195 variant, 4.2.2, rooted and busybox/xposed installed.
The fastest way I found to manually restart t
his widget is maximize it. After that, next time I turn on the screen, it shows correct time and updates itself
w/out problems for a few minutes/hours, then problem occurs again.
PLEASE help.
No one?
Solved. It was somehow related to greenify, maybe because of restored data from titanium backup. Reinstalled everything without TiBu, now everything is fine. Weird since everything else was working fine...
Just got a Tab S 10.5 LTE the last week, and it's already the third time I'm going to factory reset, because this happens.
At a seemingly random point, widgets like Google search and AquaMail stop working (Tap here to restore, which won't work) and disappear from the widgets list. However rather than having 2 widgets under Google search, I now have one entry (Google Now). Same with AquaMail, only the 4x3 widget disappears, while the 1x1 one is still in the widgets list.
Rebooting won't help, either.
And that's the only thing I could notice anyway, god knows what else has gone missing. It's really frustrating.
I haven't messed around much, more than freezing a few proper bloatware crap, and installing xposed AdAway for Youtube. I'm sure if those are the culprits I'd be able to find similar issues googling, but nope.
Could it be caused by the new Nova version? But doubt so too, since I haven't seen any complaints about this.
It's really driving me crazy.
update: I read somewhere that it could be caused by some wrong permissions managing, and to use the Fix Permissions feature in TWRP. And so I did, and boy did it break the tablet lol. It's completely messed up, won't even let me delete a random file of mine. Yet another factory reset here I go
Non rooted, fully stock ROM.
Strange bug - quite often after tab was sleeping for a long time, I cannot unlock it, screen just goes to sleep right after unlocking it. And if I switch to my second profile, it unlocks, but apps do not launch, at all. I see the "tap" animation on the icon, but nothing happens. Launcher works just fine, but no apps launch.
Clearing cache from stock recovery didn't help. Only restart fixes it.
Anybody encountered this issue before?
