Desire 820n Sensors (gyroscope) - Desire 820 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can anybody tell me if the Desire 820*n* has a built-in gyroscope?
I am not an expert with sensors and I had some problems while looking on the internet (there is a certain number of sensors but I don't know if they may have different names) because of the serveral versions of this smartphone too, does anybody know the answer to my question?

No. it doesn't have gyroscope

REQ and QUESTION

Guys,
Amongst you are there any developers that know the inner workings of the HTC Camera Application and the Aperture Speed etc of the touch HD and Diamond... in addition does anyone know of any documents that clearly outline which cmos sensor is used by each phone?
Strange request I know but if somebody can point me in the right direction that would be superb.

Touch HD 2 - Digital Compass (REQ)

Hello guys from long time i search some cool compass aplication that will be very usefull for all of use.
I found that the new Touch HD 2 have Digital Compass who work Under WM 6.5 and use the GPS.
The question is.. We have WM 6.5 for our Blackstones and We have GPS too
Can someone port this Beautyfull Digital Compass we to can use in Blackstone
Here is the Image:
Im pretty sure that this requires extra hardware that the HD does not have.
I dont mean exactly the same but someone can make some similar compass for our Blackstones for example can se the graphic from the original one just to get the idea.
We have G sensor and GPS so its posible to be made some kind of compass.
There have been a few roms that have tried it, but it did not work and caused the HD to crash when trying to exit the app.
This is not possible: The Touch HD does not have a compass, the HD 2 does!
Just using GPS there is no way for the device to know which way is north! It can only figure out the direction when it's moving, not when it's stationary!
There have been numerous threads on this subject!

Correct, our HD's will never have this capability due to not having the hardware needed. One more reason to purchase the Leo
theres plenty of compass apps out there allready that use the GPS eg....Beeline, Efficasoft, there's heaps more though off the top of me head, there the ones I use. Otherwise your gonna have to buy a phone that has the specific bit of hardware in it, that can give you a stationary reading, as the GPS ones calculate this via your movement.
try install latest rom Lost In Asia there is implemented that compas and copilot live 8 trial too

HTC Touch Pro 2 Sensors API

I know that the TP2 come with different kind of sensors (ambient light, proximity, g-sensor) and wonder if we could make the most out of them.
There are lot of programs out there which make use of the g-sensor to rotate screen and so on.
What about the ambient light and proximity sensor? I have not come across any programs using them...
When I drive for example, I listen to music using my TP2. I can't really change the tracks since I am driving. I was thinking may be the proximity
sensor could help...
Eg. 1. Waving the hand in front of the sensor would move to the next track.
2. Leaving the hand in front of the sensor after few seconds would pause the music...
These are just simple ideas and I think many of you guys reading this will come with great ideas (even for the light sensor)....
My point for this post is that does anyone have/or can create API's for these sensors (It would be great if they were in .NET compact, would make life easier for developping apps.)
I am sorry for posting this in the ROM section but I think by posting it there, it will attract the attention of the ROM cooks, who I think would have come across these sensors and might have thought of doing something special with them

TouchLockPro
Check out TouchLockPro by ZuinigeRijder - it uses all the sensors of the Touch Pro 1 and 2 and the source code is freely available
Except the proximity sensor - it didn't know it had one...

sensorapi for .net
Thanks for that but the sensor API for .net does not support proximity sensors. Anyone knows how to deal with proximity sensors?

[Q] FM transmitor chip activating

Hello everyone !
First, please excuse me for my poor english level.
I did some research to see if a thread like the one I wanted to create was already existing, but I couldn't find any.
I was wondering if the HTC desire could possibly have the fonction of a FM transmitor. So I did some researchs and I found on Frandroid (french forum for android) that the HTC desire include a chip to transmit FM radio, but it wasn't activated.
(the goal of a FM transmitor is to transmit your music from your phone to your tuner in your car without using a jack 3.5 male-male)
So I was wondering if the numerous super heros developers of xda forum had already take a look about that or not ^^
Sorry again for my english,
The dwarf who like the beer.
maybe cyano is working on it =)
the desire dosent have a dedicated chip to transmit FM, Infact all the hardware to transmit FM is included in the snapdragon CPU. maybe looking at the source code for the current snapdragon drivers will be of intrest
Ok, thank you a lot !
This would be really cool, I want it to work, but I'm not hopeful...
