hi guys,
i wanted to switch from the stock swiftkey to super swiftkey and even tought i rooted my oneplus 3, i uninstaled swiftkey with titanium backup and i then put the super swiftkey apk and flashed the zip file, it still apears in my play store as the normal swiftkey and request an update. if i do the update it goes back to the normal swiftkey app
is there a way to unbind (or whatever the therm is) the app from the play store?
ps : i already did the "do not auto update this app" but when i update the other apps he asks me "are ou sure that you don't want to update swiftkey" and i know that one day or the other i'll click update and i won't have the strenght to switch back to super swiftkey
there is an option in Titanium to "unbind" it from the playstore
there is only a "destroy all market links" option from what i can see
the other options are to restore market links or able/unable auto update

Is it possible to detach apps from market?
I have Brut Maps installed but the market says there is an update - i dont want this update as it will overwrite my brut maps.
So is there a way to remove maps from the market?
Cheers guys
Just 'untick' the auto update option on the Market for Google Maps
It is already unticked mate but still shows as update
And if there is more than one app to update and i click update all it will start to update maps aswell.
What about if i use root explorer and move the .apk from /data/app to /system/app?
Would that work?
It'll still show as an update, you can't turn it off...just have to be careful
Ok thanks mate. Was hoping there would be a way to remove the market association.
i think you can use titanium backup to detach the app from market.. the free version may work. and you may need root too. can't verify as i use the donate version and already rooted.
once installed, long press the app and click detach from market. let me know if it works for you.
Since I have updated market to play store my phone keeps freezing. When I reboot I get 3 or 4 messages saying that ADW launcher is not responding which I select wait in the options. After about 30 seconds the screen freezes and I have to remove the battery. I have removed the update using manage applications but whenever I open market I am redirected to the play store website rather than the app. I am running the latest version of Cyanogenmod 7 for the desire. Has anyone else had this problem.
I've not heard of this problem before but if it is just the play store and not the ROM or anything else then you could download one of the versions of the old market which doesn't auto update to google play. i will find a link to an apk and post it here if i can.
I have tried uninstalling play store and restored market 3.4.4 using titanium backup. When I open it it immediately tried to update to Play store. I have also tried installing market 2.3.3 with titanium backup but when I open it it just redirects me to the play store website via the browser app.
Freeze "Market Updater" with Titanium Backup. That will prevent the Market (3.4.4) from auto-updating. It's a temporary fix until when you can figure out what the real issue is.

Uninstall and Reinstall again the App.
Or he installs above.
It is possible that form it gets ready.
Take a new app in forum, in #1 page Themes and Apps, it´s call Play store (new Market)
Or, asks in Post of Rom.
Grettings.
hmm, great.. I'v uninstalled google play store. and i download google play from what you said and now i can't install google play too... as i said before, i cant ttouch the install buttom when im accepting terms.
Try this...
Menu>Settings>Applications>Manage Applications
Choose the "All" tab and look for Google Play Store or Market (whatever you have right now)
Choose "Clear Data"
Go to recovery and clear dalvik cache (optional )
Check if it works now.
Had the same problem about a week ago. Do as stankyou said, it really works. At least it worked for me!
so i just ordered my gnex and had some questions about the auto app install process once the phone is first booted and my google account is logged in.
is there any way to stop the process altogether or kill the installs other than to go into the play store and start manually cancelling every app install?
i've got a bunch of apps installed on my current device that while i do want them on my gnex, many are older versions than what is current in the play store that i'd like to keep for one reason or another. i'd prefer to not have to allow all the updated apps to install and manually delete them then go back and install the older versions from my ti backups. yes i know i'll have to do that anyway but avoiding the initial auto install and manual deletion step would be ideal.
i guess my only other option would be to use the updated play store option of deleting apps from the webpage and just delete them from my current device prior to booting up/signing in to my gnex. i'm planning on wiping this device anyway so i guess that wouldn't be a huge deal, it just seems like google giving us an option to auto install or not would be best.
am i SOL on this? i've searched around and it doesn't look like i have any other choices but figured i'd ask.
I need a little help here, I have the unlocked variant of the phone that I'm using on T-Mobile. I use the my account app to keep track of my data usage and other things, the thing is that the latest version does not work properly. So I decided to go back to an older version of the application that works absolutely fine. Here's my question, is there any way that I can slightly modify the app so that it will not keep popping up in the play store letting me know that there is an update available? I know that I can disable auto updating of the application which I already have done but I would like to figure out if there's a way that I can get it to disappear from my apps list in Google play.
Any help with this would be tremendously appreciated
Titanium backup has a remove/detach from market option but that requires root.
the other option would be to resign the apk with a different key compile then then install it, it will still show the updates available on the play store but installing the update will fail

Click to collapse
I'd do that the last time I did stuff like that was with kitkat, any guides for doing it with marshmallow?
