Since I have updated market to play store my phone keeps freezing. When I reboot I get 3 or 4 messages saying that ADW launcher is not responding which I select wait in the options. After about 30 seconds the screen freezes and I have to remove the battery. I have removed the update using manage applications but whenever I open market I am redirected to the play store website rather than the app. I am running the latest version of Cyanogenmod 7 for the desire. Has anyone else had this problem.
I've not heard of this problem before but if it is just the play store and not the ROM or anything else then you could download one of the versions of the old market which doesn't auto update to google play. i will find a link to an apk and post it here if i can.
I have tried uninstalling play store and restored market 3.4.4 using titanium backup. When I open it it immediately tried to update to Play store. I have also tried installing market 2.3.3 with titanium backup but when I open it it just redirects me to the play store website via the browser app.
Freeze "Market Updater" with Titanium Backup. That will prevent the Market (3.4.4) from auto-updating. It's a temporary fix until when you can figure out what the real issue is.

I had an unsigned Google Search, so I couldn't upgrade today on the play store. Used TB to back up, then deleted. Now I can't install Search. Is there a way to get Search back without flashing GAPPS? I'm running Bugless Beast toro 10-30 build JZ054K.
Are you getting some kind of error or is it just not showing in the play store?
You can try clearing the cache for the play store in settings > applications. That might do the trick.
Figured it out

For anyone that runs into this issue or "Package file was not signed correctly" issue
Delete using Titanium Backup
Reboot
Delete from Play Store and then Install
I have an issue with my play store in Note 2.
The upgrades never happen and it gives me an error with error code 495.
Tried various msthods to resolve it like -
1) Disabling Play store and enabling it.
2) Clear data and cache of both download manager and play store.
3) Uninstall latest updates on Play Store (which eventually updated itself to 3.10.10 (latest) after rebooting and loging in back to play store)
Any other suggestions/help/fix to resolve this.
Note that i can still download a new app but the upgrade is not functioning.

Once I had an issue with the play store not updating my apps as well. I can't really remember the error code, but I was able to fix it momentarily by clearing the cache of every single app on my phone (use this app, it works great: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.infolife.cache ). But the issue would always return so I ended up "fixing" the problem by a doing a factory reset and restoring my titanium backups selectively.

Hello I am new to this forum, hope this is the right place to post this,
I have a Rooted Galaxy S4 Mini, and I had a custom patch of the Play Store installed, but I just hated the icon and didnt notice any difference between the custom patch and the original version of the Play Store so I decided to go back to the original one and uninstalled the Custom one and installed the regular play store and when I did, I opened it and it started loading and showed me the Terms of Service once more but suddenly the little window with the Terms disappeared and the Play Store froze. Soon after it just crashed and a message saying it had stopped appeared. And this just repeats itself everytime I try to open it, It wont even let me tap accept or decline. I tried installing previous versions of the Play store and the same thing happens, tried clearing cache & data and reboot, didnt work, tried clear cache, data, then force stop and reboot and got nothing. tried doing this to Google Play Services, services framework and play store, nothing. I even tried uninstalling updates of Google Play services and all of this steps again. But nothing. And yes, my download manager is enabled. I was so desperate I decided to back everything up with Titanium backup and then I did a factory reset. When it turned on and I configured it, there was no Play Store in my apps. So I manually installed ES File Explorer and Titanium backup to restore my phone and my backup wasnt there unfortunately so I installed Play Store manually too and I got the same error! And now I got to personalize everything again and download all the stuff I had back in so it would be nice to at least get the Play Store working again, please help me!
Sorry for long post please give me some of your time and help me
Thanks
Are you on stock rom? Are you using the GT-I9195 LTE model?
I am on Stock ROM, and I have a GT-I9195L Model its supposed to be LTE I think.
It seems my problem has been solved! Thank god!
I updated all my apps through Aptoide and the play store too, somehow that fixed my problem even though it was the same version.
Thanks
A while back I somehow found a way to prevent the play store app from updating. It involved the downloading of a phonesky.apk and I do have the file, but I cannot find the instructions I used that installed the apk file and no matter what I try, the play store app keeps updating. It's quite frustrating because I have a mirrorlink to my backup camera that has a NAV link to the phone that allows the nav to be on the player screen. The updated play store hampers the nav from working via the touch screen on the dash so it's quite a pain to get it to work right. If I remove the updates to the play store, everything works fine, but within minutes, if not seconds, the play store app again updates and all is messed up again.
This all happened because I had to revert to stock and re-root and do a restore to a previous nandroid backup, but somehow, something happened to the play store being updated by itself...
If anyone knows how I can implement the phonesky.apk I previously downloaded into the system again to prevent the market updating itself I will be so relieved! I have spent 2 days searching and cannot find how i did it before... It worked fine for over a year!
I have a Galaxy S4 running stock 4.2.2 Rooted.
Thank you to anyone who can help!
Aloha Ke Akua!
Some apps on my Redmi 7 are not detected as out of date, so Play Store does not update it. I am not sure what's so special in those apps. Not all the apps are problematic, so it is not an issue with Play Store. The same apps are on my other phone and they get updated by Play Store regularly. So it is an issue with the Redmi 7. If I uninstall the app and reinstall, I get the latest version.
The other thing annoying about Android is... in app info, there is no option called update, which will update it whether or not Play Store is able/unable to update it.
