Has anyone gotten the HTC BoomBass to work with the HTC 10? I cannot seem to get mine to play properly...
Sound stops coming from the phone speakers and instead prioritizes itself to the BoomBass, leaving the device basically useless.

Android Pay works fine with latest (systemless) root methods, so you should have no worries.

Are there any other ways to get this thing working with my phone that does not require root, though?
@Jebeld17 I bought a boombass today and only sound coming from the boombass and not phone and I'm fully stock unrooted
Did you manage to get it to work?
I also can't get this to work properly with my HTC 10. At least I still have my One max kicking around for the Boombass.
Okay, so I'm not the only one with this issue, at least. I'd REALLY prefer not to root, due to warranty implications along with constant complications with Android Pay.
I hope HTC patches this to allow BoomBass on the 10.
I've contacted the HTC Google Play app team for support on this, thinking it can maybe be applied in a patch fix to the HTC Connect app, so hopefully I'll hear back from them soon.
If anyone else can get a hold of someone higher up in HTC or know of a rootless fix to this, please let us know here!

you could by trying below...
1) install this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=burrows.apps.busybox&hl=en
2) flash this file in recovery --> SeLinux-Permissive_fix
3) install this apk and let the drivers be installed and reboot (from v4a thread) --> ViPER4Android FX v2.4.0.1
see if it sorts you to use v4a
What exactly does the Permissive fix do and can it be reversed?

So I contacted HTC as well and I am happy to confirm that HTC is readying a patch update to fix this issue on the HTC 10!

Rooting will give you simunlock. However, there is no guarantee it will work for all carriers. There are some it does not work with.

Google for a website that sells them.
You bought it in the uk, did you buy it from amazon uk or any online service? Contact the seller to see if he can help you.
I don't know what you mean by booting method.

Yes. Use the ace hack kit only to unlock/root your phone. Do not use any other method. You can flash anything in the dev section. Read the op (first page) before flashing. It will list what works and what bugs are listed.

As I know, all Dhd can be rooted by AAHK you must only follow the instructions.
As for me, the best ROM we have today for our device is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1778202 there are few bugs only, but not critical for me If you want the ROM with Sense, look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1792074 but this ROM works more slowly

There's another thread in the Q&A section that discusses the possibility of working Google Wallet on the One in far more detail. Some users had tested it and tried doing numerous things to get it to work to no avail. So, it was determined that because our One was never designed to run Wallet that it doesn't contain the secure element hardware necessary to utilize it.
Edit: apologies... It was in the AT&T One Q&A section:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2272402
However, correct me if I'm wrong, the international One and AT&T One are identical hardware wise.

I got to preparing device (wait up to 5 mins blah blah blah) but nothing past that using xposed framework and modifying the build.prop.
It worked for me although when I tried to pay with it it was refused by bank.
Could be because I'm in the UK and Google wallet is only in US.?

I wouldn't say he needs to prove he's not using a Sprint device. I would like to know what device he has, branded or not, how he got it working, etc. I guess what I am saying is perhaps he can provide more details about his device and how he got it working so as to help others.

I just tried to install it again and it doesn't work.
I'm getting message "wallet is unable to proceed until this device is fully initialised..."
I'm on ViperOne 1.2.1 at the moment.
It was working on Evolution HD 11.

I'm not seeing a single thing here that would account for this working for you where it fails for everyone else. Either you're on sprint, trolling, or both. Also, it's xposed, not exposed, and just launching it and/or reinstalling it after rebooting, then rebooting again is nothing more that redundant and unnecessary. If i'm wrong then I'll eat my words, but otherwise please stop wasting peoples time and filling up threads with nonsense.
I'm going to maintain only one thread (universal thread), since its easier to manage. My toolkit supports this model. Download links and info are in the link below

V1.0.1 Released! 4-8-2014
- Added Support for Sprint (Use ClockWorkMod for the recovery)
- Clarified some steps to make it easier to understand
- Fixed some grammar errors
Download is in Post 2.
V2.0 Released! 4-19-2014
- Added Philz CWM for GSM models
- Updated TWRP to official builds for Sprint/GSM variants
- Added a few S-Off commands for those who have S-Off
- Cleaned the code up a little bit
Nice!

I hope you find a solution. Got my M8 a few months after it came out and was rooted since and been running Viper. Rom is great, i acutally also had it on my M7 as well and it was a great ROM for daily use. Good luck.
Hello there XDA Developers forum.
I got a HTC One M8 on contract with Three (UK) and was immediately disappointed with HTC Sense, and so, followed a YouTube guide to convert my standard HTC One M8 into a Google Play Edition HTC One M8. This guide included S-Off, and allows over the air updates. Also, the Google Play Edition ROM that the guide recommended I flash to my phone is not rooted, so the end result that I have is pretty much an exact replica of a Google Play Edition HTC One M8.
I am certain the over the air updates work, because before I "converted" my phone it was on 4.4.3, and after it was completed, a few weeks later I was promoted with an Android notification to upgrade to 4.4.4, which just worked without any problems. On the notification it even said "4.4.4 for your HTC One M8 Google Play Edition" despite my phone not actually being a "real" Google Play Edition model.
My question is, will the process be the same when Android L is released? IE, When Android L is released, will my phone get a notification like before and just be able to update like normal? Or since it's a pretty big update, will I need to flash a new ROM onto my phone? I'm hoping the over the air updates will take care of it again, but hoping someone could provide me with some info.
Thank you very much in advance everybody.

I would not follow any YouTube guide, but the RUU guide on this forums. Don't have the link at hand though, as I'm not at my PC at the moment. Just search for it on the forums.
Following a video you'll never collect the proper knowledge of what you are doing and thus most of the time don't know how to solve a problem if one occurs.

When I try to update my HTC one M9 via PC with the HTc manager it did recognize that there is a new update but when I press update it remains at 1% for hours, i don't knwo if this is a bug or something else.
Please advice.

I am having the same problem so I used Fiddler (web debugging tool) to try and figure out what was going on. I did discover that the HTC Manager makes a request to a server and it gets 404 in response. I don't know if its missing some authentication header or if the link is dead or what, we can only hope they fix it.
I am also having this same issue.

It's a full RUU, not an OTA.
Doesn'tatter what's on the phone currently, as it's a full wipe/full update/RUU.

Hello. I live in Russia and I have a similar problem. I would like to ask you, that you would contact Verizon's support and find out from them whether they will solve this problem. Thank you in advance.
