Hi I've been looking for a stock Rom (Update.App) for Mediapad 2.8.0 802L.
I bought the tablet just a few weeks ago and installed an official update but then the tablet started acting weird. I believe that the update wasn't somehow successful.
I contacted Huawei but all they said was to have it send for repair, which takes time.
So I decided to flash it with an available official update file (I used a 801L update from Huawei Support). Now, it works fine, but if I could I want to get an official update file for my model.
I searched everywhere but no luck. So if anyone knows a place to download a stock update file for 802L, would you kindly let me know?
Or if someone can share it, that would work, too.
Thanks!

I just found it! I've posted a new thread here.
I had done the same thing - flashed the 801L ROM on my 802L, and you should be OK for the most part.
If you want to try something quicker and less tedious than a reflash, I've attached the official build.prop and phone.prop files from my phone for both B003 and B005 builds; you can rename them to build.prop and phone.prop and drop them into /system while still keeping your 801L build (don't forget to reboot), and that should make your phone think that it is once more an 802L instead of showing "801L" as the device model in "Settings"->"About tablet".

Hi. Dont jump on me for those questions but couldnt find anything here on xda nor google helped me.
So here it is.
Just bought my Note 8. GT-N5110. It has Android 4.1.2 and build version JZO54K.N5110XXBMD1. Not rooted
As I know 4.2.2 is available I wanted to update. But OTA says I am up to date.
I tried then Kies. I have all the drivers uptodate and Kies version uptodate as well. When I connect my Note it is recognized but it seems that Kies doesnt read everything what it should.
It doesnt show the firmware version at all.
When I am trying to check for firmware updates all I get is mssg:
GT-N5110 does not support initialising.
I also tried sammobile. But cuz I couldnt determine which version of Note 8 I have and didnt know which firmware to pick up and installed their apk.
It should check for me everything but I am getting only
Model GT-N5110
Product code. - nothing
PDA N5110XXBMD1
CSC N5110CCBMD1
Modem - nothing
After hitting GET LATEST receiving only mssg - No info foun for the provided firmware.
So my questions are:
- How can I determine is the firmware update available for my Note or not yet?
- How can I determine which version of Note do I have? I bought it on amazon.co.uk so I think it is European version but are there country specific version as well for WIFI only model?
- Which firmware should I download from sammobile to stay "legal" lets say. UK? Dont want to root at the moment.
Any help really appreciated.
cheers

Hi.
I have the same version. (Settings, System, About (or something like that at the bottom) and then in the buildnumber there is the version.
Mine is rooted so i can't do OTA and it doesn't find an update.
I guess since there isn't any 4.2.2 version on sammobile, there doesnt exist any yet for our build.
Greetings
Chris
Thanks for that.
Decided to root so wont worry anymore about OTA or KIES updates.

From this link you can get to know about the latest available firmware for your device Model & Product Code. See image 1.
And this link will give you info about all the firmware released for the same. See image 2.
Is the tablet you bought is a used one? Because if it is brand new, then the PDA should be N5110XXBMC9, which is the first release. Also missing Product code can mean something very wrong.

Good evening,
I'm having an issue with my international D855 6SW (version 20h) when using facebook through mobile data.
When I open facebook, my news feed loads normally, but when I try to refresh, I receive a popup message saying that I should check my Internet connection. The same happens when I try to open something outside my news feed, like a link to some webpage. Anyone has experienced something like this? What should I do?
And since I've opened a new thread, I would like to know if anyone has an issue with OTA updates. I bought my G3 in August, and it already came with Lollipop 5.0 firmware V20h-EUR-XXX. The problem is that I can't update my phone to the latest firmware (21c on lollipop I think) from the built in update centre since it says that I'm already running the latest firmware available. The same happens when I try to update it through LG PC Suite, and another exe from LG that I can't remember the name at the moment.
Hope you guys can help me with this little issues, so I can enjoy even more this awesome piece of technology!
And by the way, happy New Year to everyone ??
Thank you in advance!
I am having same problem. If I flash kitkat kdz,I am shown I have already latest version installed

I've sent an email to LG about this issue, and they asked me to send my phones IMEI. Still waiting for a reply.
Hello fellow users !
A couple of days ago, I saw that the Stylo 2 Plus is going to get an update installing the new ?Nougat 7.0?! Anxious, I wanted to get it, but after long searches later... I found a thread in the T-Noble forums that people installed what was a security update and not 7.0. An employee later replied saying that they also got too exited and won't launch the new update until later date. It was a bummer, as I had backed up everything (Nandroid and file backup) to install a new custom ROM but there aren't any compatible then found about the nougat update. Phone broken after after flashing an incompatible ROM, restored the Nandroid backup then....
BUT ENOUGH OF STORY TELLING!!! (Why did you stop??? -_-)
Here to get new features aren't cha?
1.WELL YUST CONnect your phone to LG Bridge and update from there...
Anticlimactic I know (lol) but it can't get any simpler!
Problems connecting to LG Bridge? install the drivers from the LG page or look online.
Also here for root?
Well head on over to @messi2050 's thread located here [[Recovery] Twrp v3 For Lg Stylo 2 Plus]
this method that was first intended for the 6.0.1 version, is still MM compatible and works perfectly with my device!
Don't know about Xposed though (can someone comment about that)
Thanks for reading my thread!(and the story if you did lol)

Really? Seems people dont have it from all the comments I've been seeng.
It probably depends on your service provider if they had the update earlier for you. For example. T-Moble was going to release the nougat update the 15th of may but it had turned out to be another security update.

Well I have the tmobile variant and I've had it for months now. Maybe some people rooted their phone or something so they didn't get an Ota or something.
Proof of root! (Will edit this onto first post when I get home)
The only place I found this firmware on was on paysites, and I'm not willing to pay god knows how much because I wanted to restore my phone to stock especially when I can flash a custom ROM for the time being, and please don't throw me to firmware.center, because I have checked and they don't have the firmware I need, and I guess I was fooled by a thread for the OTAs of NPPS25.137-93-2-5 (not hating on the guy who posted this, it was my fault). I tried searching for the firmware by its filename, and I couldn't find it on a website that didn't want some money out of me.

The only thing I could find was the OTA update
You would need to flash the previous firmware if its available and then OTA update to the latest version

I guess there is no difference except other than an extra letter, or that your phone is blacklisted from updates, I don't really know
I am on 93-12 with XT1676, UK retgb, but am just being offered an update to 93-14 with Android updates to 1 July 2018.

Hello All,
It has been a while since I have been around the XDA forums, needless to say I needed a new user! haha. I used to run custom ROMs on older Samsung devices, but got out of the game when I could never pass safetynet. Needless to say, I have now stepped into the world of OnePlus, and so far I am impressed! I managed to snag a 9 Pro for a good price, but it is the Chinese version (Needed dual-SIM), meaning it came with Color OS.
I have already managed to "Downgrade" the Color OS to Oxygen OS using another thread here. Worked flawlessly other then the IEMI...It's currently on 11.2.2.2DA.
Is there anyone that has managed to swap from 11.2.2.2DA to BA? I don't really want to root at this moment (maybe ill get into that at a later date)
I do have an OTA file for 11.2.2.2BA but when I use the local update, it just says it can't upgrade to a lower version.
Any ideas?

You have to wait for the next version.
excute this command and you can install the BA vesion package on DA 11.2.2.2
Q: How do I switch to Europe or Global OS?
A: Wait for the new version, download the #Full package and Local Update it. If you have Magisk installed, you can try to Local Update after entering the following command (need ROOT access).
resetprop ro.build.date.utc 1400000000
resetprop ro.system.build.date.utc 1400000000
Wait for coloros to oxygenos step
Thanks for the quick replies,
It appears everything ColorOS wise always points towards the Indian Edition. Not that it isn't stable or anything, I think the UK Version covers more radio bands which may work better here in NA. I was under the impression once I am on OOS, I am no longer tied to anything COS...
I see that 11.2.3 is available as an OTA update, but I don't see any links yet. My history with rooting and roms was that I could always change to the same version or higher, just never lower. I'm doing this in my case, but maybe that is changed with Oneplus where it wants to see higher only.
I will just wait till a link for 11.2.3 is available from OTA and go from there!
Thanks.
Hello all,
As the 11.2.3.3 OTA update came out for BA today, I tried to perform a local update to get it to BA.
Looks like everything went great. IEMI is still broken due to the COS to OS swap, but it isn't really concerning to me at the moment. I have backups of the original so I should be good.
Just posting to let anyone who reads know!

Do you mean going into fastboot, and entering these commands, and then subsequently rebooting into system, and then try and local upgrade? Please be clear with these steps and descriptions.

Hi, I have an OP9 Pro China version with Color OS and I also want to flash it to Oxygen OS. The Color OS version of my OP9 Pro was upgraded to A.04 version. Please advise if I can flash my phone to 11.2.2.2DA. I am not sure if 11.2.2.2DA is the higher version or not (compared with Color OS A.04). Please also advise if you followed the instructions from the post on OP Chinese forum to flash your 9 pro to 11.2.2.2DA, then use the same method to flash it to 11.2.2.3BA. Have you tried to flash your 9 pro to the AA global version? Sorry for so many questions. I haven't flash ROM since OP3T and I forget how it works. Thanks.

I basically followed this guide on getting COS to OOS. https://www.oneplusbbs.com/thread-5895784-1.html. I believe I was on version A.03 when I did the update, but I could have been on A.04. It was as easy as downloading the right firmware and applying it via a local update. It brought me right to 11.2.2.2DA. *This does seem to break IEMI*
I then used the 11.2.2.3BA version downloaded right from XDA, and applied it via a local update.
I have not gone to global as I need dual SIM. So I can't help you there....
