Title says it all.
I've tried multiple AOSP roms. I've flashed hybrid bootstacks for ls980. All had no cell data. Calls work fine. Haven't checked texts as I use Google Voice.
I've treid a couple apn-conf.xml swaps, including swapping from stock 5.0.2 with working cell data, all to no avail.
What gives? It can't be impossible to run AOSP on non Sprint?
you need to contact your carrier for this because this is your apns issue the apns are not configured correctly it also happened to me i tried several attemps even flashing different radios in aosp rom contact your carrier so that you can configure your apns this is the only way of reviving your data connection
Flash this zip in recovery and choose RingPlus or Ting depending on what carrier you are on and you should get LTE. http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...t/flashable-lte-fix-moto-e-6-x-boost-t3290719

TY TY TY TY TY TY TY! I'll post back this weekend and seeeee
Didn't work for I couldn't install it in recovery, I tried that latest version by Buzbee (it did install) but it didn't work sadly. I'm going to try a older CM version perhaps that'll work.

verizon is GSM, not CDMA. Sprint is the only CDMA. Assuming you downloaded the right thing, it could just be a bug in the rom. These 4.2 roms are definitely still works in progress.

Did you wipe data/cache before flashing? I would also try flashing a stock ROM to see if that works... Could also try to just flash the radios.

i should have been more detailed, but was short for time and was on my touchpad. I did in fact wipe davlik, as well as data/cache.
I also reseated the sim card. 4g always worked fine on stock rom. It was working just fine on cm10 before the newest stable. I removed it and flashed pure aosp 4.2 rom and it was working then as well. I went back to cm10 with a clean flash and it again was not working. I am now on xenon hd 11-25-12 rc1. It is now working just fine. i always tended to stick with cyanogenmod and never had a problem like this before. I am not sure why i am experiencing this poblem now. I was not sure if this was a bug that others may have been experiencing..
No I dont believe it is a bug because I am on CM10 on the VZW Gnex and I have not had any problems with LTE, mine is working fine.
I'm having the same issue. 4G was working on my Verizon GNex on CM10 however it stopped working.

sorry, not too sure then. only thing i would try is use the superwipe script on top of manually wiping your phone and reinstall the rom.

I have a Sprint GNex on Page Plus Cellular (Verizon MVNO) and a Verizon GNex on Verizon. The phone in question is my Verizon GNex.
Hello everyone,
I currently have an issue with my arc S (LT18i) where 3G doesn't work anymore on any Sony stock ROM. I am aware that my carrier supports the needed basebands, and I am in an area where my service has 3G with full signals. I have tried the following:
I have switched ROMs from ICS and Gingerbread & tried reflashing, but still 3G doesn't work. I have no problems with 2G however.
Changing kernels didn't help too. I normally use LuPuS, but the problem still remains.
I first thought it was a hardware issue, but then I switched to CyanogenMOD and MIUI, 3G works on both ROMs. So it's not a hardware issue.
I still do not know what the problem is. Can anyone help me out? This problem occured just after I flashed LuPuS kernel, and then returning back to stock kernel. Ever since then 3G doesn't work.
Hope I get a solution. Help is appreciated. Thanks!
Did you flash the correct baseband for the ROM? Each Android version works with a different baseband.

Never had problems with using various basebands on various ROMs. 64 worked fine on ICS, 77 worked fine on GB. No issues for me.

I used what comes in the .FTF itself. I even tried flashing with Sony's official flash tool for unlocked bootloaders. I'll try manually flashing basebands and switch them out to see whether that works.

Gotta check then.
Had you checked in what mode are you?
2G, 2G/3G Prefered, 3G only
Had you configured the APN Settings? In my phone it doesnt donwload anything from 3G/2G until i register the network.
Or perhaps you didnt do all the wipes and some remanent file is causing the problem.

Residual files seems to be the problem. I have the correct APNs and correct mode. I should try clearing with fastboot.

hi ... ihave the same problem .. can u please tell me what have you done exactly ?
I decided to give Kit Kat another try a few days ago, but since then I have not been able to connect to LTE.
Prior to flashing I was running CM10.2 and my LTE was working fine. I initially lost LTE when I flashed PACMAN. I have also tried AOSB/ProBAM and Beanstalk. None of the Kit Kat roms gave me LTE so I gave up and restored CM10.2, but afterward I was still not getting any LTE connection.
I tried flashing the MD4 modem, but that didn't seem to fix anything. I've also heard that going back to stock could help, but I'd rather not have Knox if I don't have to use it. Which stock ROM here on XDA would be the best (Not planning on using the ROM. I just want LTE and then will flash back to Kit Kat)? Would a different modem fix my LTE issues? Is MK3 better than MD4, or are there any newer modems I should try?
Thanks for the help!

Any of the ROMS that have [TW] in the title should work. Full Knox only comes with flashing a tar file in ODIN, because your flashing every partition of the phone. Modified stock ROM zips do not have knox, unless otherwise noted. Make sure to do a prl and profile update when you flash to stock.

Flashed Wicked Sensations last night with the MK3 modem and I seemed to be getting LTE as soon as that booted. Updated my PRL and Profile, and then wiped. Installed AOSB again, and I seemed to be getting LTE until I rebooted. After the first reboot I seem to be stuck in 3G again.
Im currently running AOSB on 2 devices. When I first flashed them, I had the same issue until I rebooted the phone. After that I never had this issue again.

I think that's the opposite of what happened to me. My status bar said I had LTE when I first booted AOSB (this was after flashing/wiping TW). After the first reboot it connected to 3G and I haven't seen the LTE signal since.
I have updated the APNs, but I was using the same APNs for a while and had LTE on CM10.2 with them.

This is something wierd with Kitkat. I do not believe a fix has been found just yet. but if you dial *#*#info#*#* on most phones you can get into the phone systems and turn LTE back on.

KitKat roms are currently having data issues. You could try backing up your current KK rom and go back to Stock, update prl and backup your DNS settings then go back to your backed up KK rom and restore from the dns settings you backed up.
How does one downgrade from kitkat to jellybean? I tried to just flash a jellybean ROM with a clean install and got an error?

ohhh i had this issue but i figured it out for pacman and most roms just download nova launcher and when you do create a shortcut on nova ad click on setting an it should say apn once there u open it and youll see where it says ehprd something like that click on it and go all the way to the bottom and change where it says bearer to ehrpd and lte should work ^_^
Ok so I finally got it working, although I'm not sure what was wrong with everything in the first place. My buddy said Cyanogenmod screwed up a recent ROM, so maybe that code was in one of the ROMs I was using.
Each time I flashed back to TouchWiz (I ended up using Wicked Sensations) I could get 4G/LTE. I ran a **72786*, did a PRL & profile update. Prior to finding a working ROM, when I went back to BeanStalk/PACMAN I would lose LTE. After I found the updated BeanStalk ROM I flashed and it still had LTE! Happy days!
At this point I was able to send MMS somehow, but phone was having problems being recognized by the network. I could connect to LTE but couldn't use the data. After I updated the APNs everything started working again.

Hello all,
I am a newbie to rooting and flashing ROMs to Android. I have a Virgin Mobile SIII (SPH-L710) running Cyanogenmod 11 M12. My custom recovery is Philz Touch Home Recovery. I really like CM, but I only have 3G coverage. I've done a lot of Googling, but haven't found a clear solution. Does anyone know a fix for this? Would flashing a new modem, fiddling with the APNs, or upgrading to the latest nightly (or unofficial CM12!) fix this? Thanks in advance!

You need to flash the APN fix by moped_rider, BoostMobile and VirginMobile users have to do this on AOSP based ROMs. It's the same file for both. You can get it here:
https://www.mediafire.com/folder/u2eom6707846q/Boost_APN_Fix
Thanks for the quick response! All I have to do is flash the zip in recovery, right? I will see if this works tomorrow when I get in an LTE area.

Yup, that's all you gotta do
I tried out the new APN fix, and now whenever I'm on coverage, a message on the button portion of the screen pops up saying "no APN specified on this device." Is there any way to fix this? It won't go away and heavily lags my phone. Also, I still don't have LTE.
Go to voice dialer and say "open apns" and make sure they are in there, sometimes you gotta flash the file a few times to get it to stick, if it's still giving you a problem I'll upload the one that I ah email that I know works

I checked, there are 2 apns: boost mobile LTE and boost mobile ehrpd. However, I reflashed it, and the problems consist.
I tried flashing the old one too from media fire (the one labeled r1), and it didn't work either. I'm not sure if this matters, but I have Ad Block Plus installed. Also, I noticed my MMS isn't working either, but it didn't work before I flashed the fix.
Fixed it! I followed a guide from MopedRyder himself: http://androidforums.com/threads/mod-universal-lte-virgin-mobile-apn-fix-wip-cm-aosp-4-4-x.840298/ basically the same thing as the boost mobile package, but made for virgin mobile. Thanks guys!

Ive tried a few different stock based roms and they seem to run ok and I get full data with ringplus, though Im really a fan of the CM12 based roms and these seem to be the ones I have issues with.
If LTE mode is on auto, I get no data on the phone and have to manually put it into 3g mode. I tried going into data settings and configuring the apn myself, but it says Im not able to on this one (because its cdma maybe? Im used to gsm based phones)
Theres zips out there to flash the apn config for ringplus for 4.3 and 4.4 based roms, but Ive seen no fixed for LP roms yet
