Speaker Quality - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

I am more like a music guy, so just wondering how is op3 speaker quality? Good, bad or average?

I'd rate it slightly lesser than the one found in 6S Plus.

I know it is better than the Galaxy S7 Edge and noy as good as Nexus 6P.

I'd say its pretty decent for a £309 phone. Not as good as the 6p but definitely not disappointing.

Coming from a 5X, the OP3 is way better..

Nexus camera versus htc amaze camera??

Has anyone had both devices and compared the cameras???
The only thing holding me back is camera because I love the deducated buttons and great quality.
I'm sire the difference if any can't be too big. They are both cell phones .

From what I've heard the amaze has one of the best cameras on any phone. The gnex is not going to be able to best it in pic quality. The zero lag while nifty will not compensate for it IMO. That's not my main concern, but if it is for you then the amaze might be a better option.

[Q] HTC SENSE CAMERA or something better

Hello Community,
After having my nexus 4 for several months I have decided that the camera sucks tremendously compared to HTC Sense Camera. My biggest gripe is the lack of a great rapid shot like on the HTC One S or X. Is there anyway to get that camera ported over to the N4? IF not, any other camera apps out there that are worth a shot? Ive tried some of the ones in the play market but they are just a bad.
The HTC camera ist just awesome. The n4 one isn't.
Don't forget do downsize the picture to 4 MP / 3 MP on the nexus 4 that speeds up the camera heavily. If you use focal you can achieve a quite high speed, but the quality isn't that nicely

Remember that what makes camera quality on a phone is not only the build but also the guts of the camera. HTC has a great camera because it uses a camera sensor chip created by HTC. You can't just port over the camera and get the same quality. Graphic quality on s camera has a lot to do with how well the megapixels interact with the sensor itself. Sony, HTC and Samsung have all used a specific set of chips allowing for crisp clean images. LG prob didn't include a great sensor on the N4 so that the price wouldn't be so expensive. I mean phones like the HTC One, One X, GS3, S4 and Xperia devices run at 500$+. Remember our phone was priced at 300.

The stock camera is just horrible, but I noticed that the MIUI camera is very good with our N4, very crisp picture quality and UI is nicer.
I also found the Moto Camera to be better than stock camera, the photos it takes are much more focused and are just generally better.
Have you tried Focal App? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fr.xplod.focal&hl=fr :cyclops:
This is the camera I have on my nexus4 more or less the same the HTC one

I have to get over it I guess. The hardware is not to par with my expectations and experience with HTC camera hardware. I really like my N4 but miss my One S camera. Thanks for the feedback and suggestions guys
Just get the n5 I hear the camera is gonna be really good on it

I used to Have HTC WildfireS and when I flashed cyanogenmod rom the quality of the photos decreased (same for other HTC devices my friends have (the flagships not cheap like mine) so I think the HTC framework as a whole plays a big role in the quality. But again you need someone to port the entire framework of the camera and the camera (which is hard to impossible ?)

Nexus 7 Flex Problem

When I slightly try to flex my Nexus 7 horizontally, a sort of an odd sound comes from it. Do other other users also observe this. Is it of poor build quality?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
The nexus 7 is not a flexible device. That odd sound is likely a signal to the user to stop trying to flex the device.

I may sound like an OCD victim, but I was trying to test the rigidity of the device. Like The kind of tests tech Youtubers do with Mechanical keyboards and other large devices. Marques Brownlee had done an extreme variation of what I did on his LG G Flex video. While I understand that LG Flex has been specifically manufactured to withstand these extreme tests and conditions, I just wanted to see how my Nexus 7 compares. I was not at all extreme with it and just slightly flexed it, subjecting it to those conditions which were all extremely likely on normal user's usage scenario. Pardon me, if you thought what I did was wrong.

I wouldn't take it personally. It's just that it kind of gets old when you keep reading posts in the forums of people looking for defects in their devices that aren't really defects at all. If you take a gander in the Nexus 5 forums, you'll see they are littered with threads about real non-issues. For example, one guy made a post saying he thought his Nexus 5 had a problem because when he would push hard on the back under the camera, it would creak a little bit.
My advice... Just use your tablet like it was meant to be used, and don't sit on it or do anything that would cause it to flex. One can really drive him/herself mad looking for imperfections in his/her electronic devices.
I agree.

I'm not judging right or wrong here, I just don't see the point of stress testing a perfectly good device (unless of course you are a tech editor and want to show your readers/viewers a potential device weakness). Personally, I treat my devices with kid gloves - I like the way they look and feel now, and I'd like them to be the same 2 years down the road when I trade up to the newest version.
And flexing a device that wasn't intended to flex is just asking for problems.

Trade moto x for this?

I'm thinking of trading a moto x for this phone. It basically has kitkat so would it be worth it? Any opinions welcome.

Motorola phones are known for the great optimisation, it may actually be faster and more stable than the P6.
it is much faster and stable plus straight updates like nexus familly from Google... its way better phone than p6

Tough decision to make as both are very tight in comparison. It would be best you actually use the p6 in hand for maybe 1 or 2 days.
But there will be a P7 out by April/May so if you plan to get a new one then you can wait for the p7.

Depends what you are looking for.
If you want FM radio, external sd card, 5MP front facing camera, thin light phone, Huawei P6 is the choice to make.
If you want more support from Google, active display, 10MP back camera, longer battery life, and if you like AOSP look of android (which I do so I use OMNI ROM on P6) then maybe you should stay with the Moto X.
Now, if you had the Moto G I would suggest you trade for a P6. A Moto X is a harder choice to make because it has relatively good specs too.
Here is a site you could look at:

Trade your Moto X for my P6 ?
Ooh trade me, trade me!
I would never trade a ( basically ) AOSP device, ever. - They are just too good.
I just have been eyeing the p6 for a couple of months now. It just looks like a unique well built phone. The moto x is nice and quick but I feel like nothing makes it stand out aside from some software features that I hardly even use.

I love my P6, most great looking device...
but if u want to play 3d heavy games, go for another device.

Apple earpods with OnePlus 3

Hi guys,
Have anyone of you used Apple earpods with OPO3? Does the mic for taking call and other buttons work? I need to buy a decent earbud and I do not like in-ear earphones as it's very fatiguing.
Thanks
