As the title says has anyone with Vodafone Au De-Branded with WWE? I just want to see if the reception changed at all or did you need to flash the Vodafone radio after? I'm sick of waiting for them to push the 1.80 update. I would like to be updated so i can flash the latest ROMS on updated firmwares.

Don't know if it helps, but I'm on Telstra and have gone to WWE and US international firmwares. US got me same reception, WWE was slightly lower than Telstra. There is a wiki you can google which lists what frequency different models/regions use. Just get something with a match to Vodaphone and signal should stay the same.
Here's the wiki. Https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_LTE_networks
Did you ever try flash the telstra radio while on WWE? If i lost reception while on WWE i was thinking i could just flash the Vodafone radio which i have from the ota file. Just want to confirm before doing so.

No I didn't, have done that on my m8. Not on the 10. Can't see why it would not work. You could always flash different firmware if no signal.
I just checked and vodafone uses band 3 and 5. Which is 1800mhz and 850mhz. You wouldnt happen to know which bands WWE uses?

I don't know. From what I can see 1800 will be fine. Not 100% sure about 850. You will definitely have signal, just may not use 850. If you have voda original fw, it can't hurt to try anyway. Or wait, someone will have answer sooner or later. Good luck.
Thanks for your help mate. One more question for ya. I read through the debrand thread and it says to use the RUU. Do i have to or can i just super cid and flash the 1.80 firmware manually then flash twrp then custom ROM?

I did super cid, then used sneakyghost thread to flash firmware. Used nowipe fw. Either way will work.
If i wanted to go back to my Vodafone firmware after i de brand can i just flash the firmware.zip from the 1.53 ota? I have been reading up and the firmware.zips only have updated paritions so i might not get the full firmware back to Vodafone.
Doesnt seem like too many Aussies on this forum.

The ota will take you back to Vodafone fw. Just no Rom installed. I used the Telstra one on sneakyghost thread to go back.
Just an update, tonight I soff the phone changed cid to htc__001 and flashed the 1.80 RUU. Everything went absolutely fine. I have the same reception and LTE is working on both bands that Vodafone uses.

Hello. I have a AT&T branded HTC One M8. No longer with ATT , the device is unlocked and being currently used with T-Mobile. Everything works fine. I went back to KitKat since not a big fan of lollipop since couldn't get battery life to be as excellent as KK. I did the 4.4.4 RUU for ATT and flash CM11 and everything worked perfectly, except signal. The signal drops so much to where in places that I normally had 4G LTE in I would drop to emergency calls only. But only going to kitkat. Whenever I was on Lollipop my signal was perfect, I'd use the latest ATT RUU for M8, then go to somewhere like LeeDroid. So after that rant, Can I use the T-Mobile RUU, or could someone point out a specific radio that I could use with Kitkat on T-Mobile network to where signal ought to work?
I would suggest the T-Mob RUU for best performance on the T-Mob network.
You'll need s-off, and then change to the T-Mob CID and MID to run the T-Mob RUU. Also, no need to relock the bootloader to RUU once you've done s-off.

Do I still need to if I'm Super CID? Also currently on Skydragon, used on of their modified firmware for T-Mobile. Seems to be working good. But still suggest to go ahead with what you stated?

If you are on the Lollipop T-Mob US firmware and Skydragon, you should be good to go. Do you have any signal issues with this setup?
To answer your CID questions (just as FYI, or in case you end up wanting to run T-Mob RUU), SuperCID will satisfy (pass) the CID check. But you still would need to change to the T-Mob MID (model ID). MID is a separate check from CID. You need to pass both to run the RUU.

Alrighty! Thanks for the MID info. My signal seems to be a lot better. I always was on HSPA+ with full bars, now getting around 2-3 bars of LTE. So cant complain about that since I live a little outside of town. Thank you for you assistance!
Hey guys,
I own an original unlocked M9 (1.32.617.30) and want to convert it to the international model for the quicker updates.
Just got it S-OFF and wanted to make sure I got the rest of the steps right:
1. Change MID to 0PJA10000
2. Change CID to 11111111 (or to HTC__001? which is better?)
3. Run 1.32.401.17 RUU (is it possible to run 1.40.401.8 RUU instead? or do I need to flash a 1.32 base first?)
Cheers! Trying to avoid a bricked phone

Who is your carrier?
You shouldn't need to change your mid. Just change to super cid and you can flash the latest firmware and any custom rom you want.
If you're AT&T, the 401 firmware should work seamlessly, you just probably will not get voLte. If you're tired mobile, 401 firmware should also work, but no Wi-Fi calling (you should confirm this because I'm really not sure). If you're Verizon or Sprint, I have no idea, but I think you're sol and have to wait until they release an update. .
Edit: nevermind about carrier stuff. Didn't see that you have dev edition. 401 firmware should all work.

I'm not in the US, but europe. I've bought the phone through HTC US and that's why i'm on 617.
Regarding the MID, it is only because it is listed as a step here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-one-m9/general/att-developer-edition-ruu-how-to-t3086948
And when you say "flash latest firmware" what do you mean exactly? should I install 1.40 RUU or 1.32.401.17 RUU first? I really want to know Im flashing the right file now that i'm S-OFF.

Gotcha. I didn't understand your desires. I thought you were basically asking how to upgrade your firmware and flash a rom. Probably you should ask in that thread and maybe clsA or someone else in that thread can give you specific advise. I assume you're looking to convert to stock 401/0PJA10000 and receive official otas?
This might help you as well.. its an A,B, C ... guide
http://www.droidviews.com/how-to-restore-htc-one-m9-to-stock/
From what Im aware, I thought Sunshine 3.17 only supports 501... arent we on 502?
Thanks guys I followed the guide from clsA and it worked perfectly. :good:
Yup! If you have a GSM M-9 than it's easy as pie! S-OFF, Super CID, Flash Firmware, Flash Rom! BAM! DONE!

Your in the same position i was a week ago.. except Im now s-off, with an unlocked bootloader. EE UK release the updates when they are good and ready and are known for being very VERY slow.. I got so tired of waiting I converted my M9 to HTC__001 WWE, and got the updates OTA. If you want the update now and on release day, thats what you have to do.
So far as I know, 1.40 is the newest update available here in the UK and it wouldnt surprise me if EE UK didnt wait until 5.1 gets released before they release another update, but thats just guessing.
Hope that helps

Looks like i will go s-off as the current EE firmware leaves much to be desired even though i am running MaximusHD, currently without any issues.

I'm still on 1.32.61.15 on my EE M9. I'm planning to root and s-off when European 5.1 OTA updates appear as there's no way I'm waiting for over a month after for EE to pull their finger out and push it.
Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
I too decided not to wait on EE as after being sent from pillar to post by their customer service reps (most of whom don't actually know that the update to 1.40 exists) and reading on their android forums that they are notorious for very late OTA's, I took the plunge and did the whole s-off and unlock thing and changed my CID to HTC__001 and flashed the associated stock rom. Literally seconds after setup, the OTA showed up and installed.
I will no longer be at the mercy of EE's appalling customer service in regards to OTA's, and for anybody else waiting for this update on EE, I suggest you do the same!
BTW 1.40 is a HUGE improvement on the previous firmware, its almost like a different handset!!!
I misunderstood or install custom rom on orang 001 cid, firmware orange uk?
and I am stuck on orange uk firmware 2.10.61.6 with cid 001and S- on, I want to know if I could unlock the bootloader, install TWRP and then root him. The radio version of mine is 1144601, is sim unlock. if it is possible to install custom rom even if it was on, what would it be?
If I want to return to the official version 1.32.61.xx, with another radio versaiune somehow locks sim card? I use it in another country and another network than Orange UK.
please give me some advice, thanks a lot
If the cid and mid match your device and software version then you CAN use the ruu.
You CANNOT downgrade with s-on. You CANNOT flash any other version of software with s-on.
Basically you can flash your current firmware or later via ruu but only if it matches your device.

Gain S-Off via Sunshine and flash any firmware you want. I would suggest WWE/International (European) firmware. It covers pretty much any radio/baseband versions, except for CDMA of course

I duno why ypu would relock bootloader but anyways the RUU you are trying to flash is for US devices. Seeing you changed cid to WWE you need the latest x.xx.401.x RUU. it can be found in a zip you can rename the zip to 2PS6IMG.zip and place on external sd card, boot to downlaod mode and follow the prompts. Atm i dont think the latest is available but just flash the newest you can find then take the ota.

you can always flash the HTC__060 radio.img after the International RUU (1.xx.401.x) and see if that gives you service.
I know for Verizon, we can flash the US Unlocked RUU (1.xx.617.x) and then the latest Verizon radio.img and it gives working service.
I would:
1) flash latest .401 RUU
2) boot and see if you have service
3) if not boot to download mode and:
fastboot flash radio HTC__060_radio.img

Finally ended up booting into download mode setting cid to BS__001 and set MID 2PS650000 before running US Unlocked/ Developer RUU. I can only get 3.5G (also called as H+ or 4G). But I'm not able to get LTE. I'm from Argentina (South America), and my M9 from T-Mobile works great on LTE. Now on the HTC 10 I'm actually on 1.96.617.20. Any thoughts? As I runned that RUU I would see no reason on flashing Verizon radio, I'm I right? Thanks!

I think you are correct, but I have no idea. I would flash a ROM such as Viper, Leedroid, Ice, etc.. and choose T-Mobile. This will add into the ROM the necessary components to help get you LTE. Right now you are on the RUU Stock US Unlocked 1.96.617.20 ROM, so it isn't going to fully support T-Mobile.
(What is your carrier? Why do you ask about flashing Verizon radio? Only flash Verizon radio if you are on Verizon network)
--It sounds as though you are on T-Mobile network, so first step flash ROM that supports T-Mobile as mentioned above, and if need, we can try flashing the T-Mobile radio.img next.
