When you updated to CPD1, did you load the stock ROM via Odin, or???

Need Help, BootLooping after Odin Stock Flash to BPA1

So I pretty muched messed up while trying to flash my phone and was going to factory reset it to start back over. I was using KingoRoot on pc to establish root then unlock the bootloader etc. After running the adb commands to unlock the bootloader the phone reset, ran again to finish commands and lucky me once it went to reboot it started bootlooping. So I hunted forever and finally found a bpa1 firmware file i could flash on odin to go back to stock. Using the full firmware from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...mware-firmware-kernel-modem-recovery-t2942937 I used odin to flash it back to stock. So it passed went to recovery did its thing then starts up and is bootlooping again. I'm kinda lost what to do now. Help Please lol\
After rooting and unlocking, you need to install a compatible kernel, like multi kernel that supports being rooted

You mentioned that you were trying to unlock your bootloader. Did you try taking the SD card out?

The bootloader unlock procedure essentially corrupts your sd card. You need to reformat the whole thing since it becomes riddled with insane partitions during the process. You didn't do anything wrong, you just need to remove the card after you unlock and then reformat it later.
lmfao u stated u had 5.1.1 .....

Unlock boot loader vzw note 4 N910VVRU2CPG2 possible latest ota Oct 26 2016

Unlocked 5.1.1 b4 but can this one be unlocked or downgraded ?
I am asking the same question, without an answer; as of yet. Waiting for some confirmation before downgrading from 6.0.1-CPG2 (Sept 01, 2016) to 5.1.1
Has anyone tried and failed, attempted or also waiting?
Thank you for any help, prior to potential disaster.

I was able to flash the safe upgrade to cpg2 on PaulPizz thread and then go back to cpd1. So I'm guessing as long as is a safe upgrade you'll be ok.

If you haven't tried unzip and load the attached pit file with the PG2 firmware.

I'm not familiar with a "safe" upgrade to cpg2. I was wondering about rooting and unlocking if I accept the official OTA upgrade to cpg2. Any links to pertinent threads would be appreciated.

If it's the same card you had in your phone when you unlocked it you will need to reformat it with your computer.
I couldn't get TWRP to see my micro-SD, even after formatting it; but worked fine in PC.
I wound up using the USB adapter. Some SD cards are just finicky.

No. But you can through odin (provided u r unlocked and you get the 3.0.2.0 twrp....note you have to select storage manually with twrp it doesn't support both simultaneously

This suggestion from Xenon53 did the trick for me. I did this using a USB SD card adapter.
Hi please follow this simple process and Your sd card will show up in TWRP:
On your computer
1-Run CMD as admistrator
2-diskpart
3-list disk
4-select disk (#)
5-detail disk
6-clean
6-clean
7-create partition primary
8-active
9-format fs=fat32 quick
Since I was using a SDXC, 64GB card, I formatted it exFAT and it worked in my N910V. FAT32 would probably work too, but I didn't try that.

Flashing raw file with AFT relocks the bootloader. You need to unlock it again.

Question TWRP touch issue

I see that TWRP users have experienced a touchscreen issue, so they need to use an OTG cable with wireless mouse. Does anyone know when will the touch issue be fixed?

But you can use the OTG touch twrp
Arobase40 said:
I experimented this no touch TWRP but it is mostly buggy excluding the non touch issue there is a bigger issue which is that once installed you can't get out from it as it bootloops into this recovery mode. Flashing a stock recovery won't change anything.
You will have to totally restock your phone from scratch and then re root it and restore all your apps and data !!! ^^
I found out the twrp tree for A52 4G and was able to build a TWRP but obviously I can't test it.
I'm not able to build a twrp for A52S 5G for now as there are missing many kernel modules and other stuffs so I have to build them from kernel source code. So for now I'm working on the device and vendor config files...

Unfortunately, I have tried to reinstall stock firmware, but it failed. Looks like my bootloader became locked. Odin software showed "FAIL". There was a message that I could barely read, so that was the reason it failed to reinstall the firmware.
What should I do now?

So you got stuck in a bootloop after installing twrp. Have you tried just extracting the stock boot.img from firmware AP file and flashing it with odin? I really don't get it why you had to reinstall everything to stock. It's not necessary to reflash every partition if you only messed up one

While the phone is completely off, press vol up and vol down buttons at the same time and then plug in the usb cable to the computer. I had that happen too, when the device fails to boot it automatically puts you into download mode and it says that the OEM LOCK is on. You just have to reboot to download mode manually.

You don't need to unlock bootloader to flash stock fw with Odin.
Your problem is most likely related to something else.
Where did you download your fw?
Have you tried different cables?
What Odin version are you trying?

I don't understand why would it be possible to flash stock firmware with locked bootloader, I thought that locked bootloader won't allow the OS to be reinstalled.

A Locked bootloader will prevent you from installing any custom things, like recovery or custom roms. It will allow you to install stock firmware via odin. Use Odin 3.14 to install firmware downloaded from here. Use the AP, Bl, Cp, and CSC_OXM files. That will get you started from scratch, all previous data and stuff will be deleted.
