Since the release for MM has been delayed, I'm thinking of upgrading to the beta instead.
I'm on stock firmware, no root, only a few disabled apps that I never use.
What's your suggestion? People that upgraded to MM beta and weren't rooted, what was your experience?
Not really.
Wouldn't recommend upgrading to a beta build especially if it's your daily driver.
*continues using CM13 nightlies on main phone*
I installed MM Beta 3 days ago and haven't had a problem with it so far. I had heard that some members reported bricking their devices. Nothing negative to report here so far.

There's been a lot of bricked phones with people doing that. Do it if you want. But know what you could be in for!

all issues you have in cm 13 you also have in mm beta for me non working Ingress forced to get back and get bricked till i found a working unbrick procedure..
if you are rooted, the bootloader ist locked again...
If you dont mind living without proxymity, light and rotation sensors, then yes, is a fine build.

I installed the MM Beta last week and it has been very stable so far.

I bricked mine.
Luckily i managed to unbrick after 1 long day of troubleshooting. Its a long drawn process and very complex.
Do it at your risk. And u can't root with MM beta.
I installed MM beta the first day I found it here, and have had ZERO bugs whatsoever - and we can root the MM beta now. The procedure is here in XDA

The J build you are on is likely to be the internal test build rather than the full release. The full release of H has a newer build date than these test release builds.

Im running the leaked 10j too, and maybe I should "downgrade" too. Where can I download the latest official build?
Sent from my LG-D855 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Didn't know 10j is a leak, does that mean we can probably expect a new firmware update soon?
I upgraded to 10H yesterday eur-xx10h or whatever it's called, while it is not quite there yet, i definitely feel like this is a performance improvement compared to 10g. Things feel more even if not perfect just yet.
Really looking forward to a new update. This phone has a lot of potential.
I've never had a phone run this hot (on leaked 10j), I'm pretty nervous about keeping it. So I'm going to backup shortly and use lg suite to go to official v10h eur tonight.
Ps it got so hot I've had it turned off since, and it took 5 mins to cool down with the cover off.

Where can I download the 10h? I cant find a download link
Sent from my LG-D855 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
There is an lg link posted where you add your imei at the end and it will give you an official download for the latest version
Here you go, put your own imei I instead of xx
http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=xx
just in case anyone else wanted tro do this, I downloaded the V10H kdz and used flashtool and a "normal" flash to do the upgrade/downgrade, very painless and took 5 minutes.
I'll keep an eye on the battery/temperature, but the 10j leaked version for me was getting dangerously hot, and killing the battery life as a consequence.
Strange is that i get 10h update 2 weeks ago but that lg site with my imei code give me 10g downlaod link

Hi guys,
Couple days ago I bought LG G3 with branded software from Polish operator.
Next I've updated it to the newest Android - 5.0
Firmware version is now V20e-260-01 (now I have option to update it to V20f-DEC-22-2014), compilation LRX21R
I was trying to find some method to root my phone (all I need is... Titanium Backup) but for now nothing is possible.
Also I know that I can flash my phone and install custom ROM but to be honest - last time I did that was over 2 years ago and I need nice instruction/guide to not damage my phone
So if you could be so kind please recommend most stable, easy-to-install and fast ROM so I can finally copy my old applications
Thank you in advance,
Omen.

downgrade to kitkat 4.4.4 and root

Any improvement to battery or usability at all or signal strength or something you noticed different after updating bb and BL. Thanks.
After everything I have read in regards to the MM update for our tmo note 4, I find myself kind of nervious about doing the update. Can we downgrade to DOK2 just in case things are not so great on the EPE3 update?

So is there any special process to downgrading cuz I have seen everybody going crazy over not doing the update for that very issue.....if there is a method to the madness and can share just in case I want to go back down I will be very grateful and I am sure others will be too.

I've gone back and forth from both without any problems just use odin to flash bl/cp files. Since on MM BL/CP wifi won't work and camera won't focus. I use odin v3.11.1

Hi,
Your data fix worked but have some minor issues I guess,
1) it changes the power button menu back to LL style (not blurred background anymore)
2) long press of back key was gone (this brings menu option in apps like)
surprising that it worked I am on Noble ROM, and new TMobile BL..
This is going to make me sound like a newb... but what is this data fix for and what exactly does it fix?
Is it needed only for non-stock ROMS or does it need to be done with the official T-Mob ROM also?

this is for custom roms like S7E MM port roms
Did anybody figure out how to get back s7 power menu after flashing this fix? On other data fixes we lose the power menu and gets replaced with LL power menu also but I would just replace the build prop with the one from the rom zip i downloaded and i would get the power menu back. But that's not working anymore.

You can go back to 100% charge only if your phone is rooted. I did so using custom ROM/Kernal - see this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-7/development/rom-hydra-rom-v1-0-t3447611

This ROM also features the dual speaker mod. This gives me the only feature missing from Note 7 the 'stereo speakers'. Fantastic ROM is general.

Are you sure? I just checked and it was still there.
Do you guys think it would be possible to do a complete firmware downgrade after installing HydraRom 1.3.5 to lets say the first ever firmware?
I saw some mentions of people installed the beta/preview version. I came across this article that states it is the final version:

Yes but I mean if I do not lose my files when updating, like my photos or applications I hope and you answer me fast because I am about to update
I didn't lose any files.
Heads up that payment apps do not currently work with this update. Android Pay says this is not an official rom, and LG Pay requires and update for android 10 that doesn't exist yet. I suspect because although it might be official firmware, it hasn't officially been released yet.
Hmmm thinking of pulling the trigger on this. Wondering if they made improvements in the camera app? Also wondering if there is a battery drain. A lot of updates from several different phone manufacturer's are reporting battery drain after updating to Android 10.
Yes

I notice the battery exactly the same, the camera improved and added new modes, but mainly the interface and fluidity of the Android 10 device improved much more than with Android 9
I took a gamble and decided to install it. Maaananaannnnn am I love this update. What a refinement! Feels like a new phone so much more polished that 9 was on the g8. Also loving the system wide dark made aka night mode. Everything is so buttery smooth
Meanwhile T-Mobile won't say anything on when they will push the update out for their variant. :crying:
