Try recalibrating battery by holding power+vol up+ vol down for a minute or so.
Your data should be retained when doing this. But back up your data, just in case; as any data that is important to you should always be backed up, anyway.

Hi.
Just flashed my Desire to LeeDroid 3.0.8.2
In Settings > About Phone > Battery > Battery Use , shouldnt it say charging while the phone is charging? I remember it used to be like that in 2.2. And I've been charging my phone but at the top where the graph is, says 13h 41m on battery.
I think it shuold be reset after I unplug or finished charging. At the bottom also displays the list of apps that have been using the battery.
I've reboot the phone, took off the battery. It just doesnt reset!
Is anyone experiencing the same problem?
addition :
when I press the graph at the top of the screen in Battery Use, it shows a graph.
At the top , it says , 13h 42m 36s on battery , at the bottom of the graph it says 17h 33m 59s.
If I remember clearly, 17hours ago was the time that I've successfully flashed to LeeDroid. Meaning ,it did not reset ever since!
Someone please help or comment.
update :
in recovery, wiping out battery stats reset it. However, it is still not functioning properly.
here's what ive noticed.
1. when I plug in the charger, the stats freezes regardless if I press refresh.
2. after unplugging, and did a pressed menu button > refresh in "Battery Use" , it updates, but resumes the time on battery.
Any help? Has it got anything to do with S-off? I did not do it. :|

Yes I have!
Update : I installed Cyanogenmod too, same thing. Now doing S-Off, will update this thread soon!
Update :
S-off, but still no luck. I dont know whats going on. I even cleared battery stats in recovery. That will reset the numbers in Battery Use.
Please let me know , when phone is charging, under Battery Use , does it say charging? or anything? And after unplugging the charger, will it say time since unplugged? Mine just continues the timer "xm xs on battery"
update :
Ive managed to get S-OFF, ive cleared everything, isntalled different roms(cyanogen)
now back to LeeDroid...
still the same,
I GIVE UP..
bump bump i like to bump!

Hello everybody,
I have an Lt18i today after doing a few things at home I went to check in my phone and it was off, I thought it was out of battery but now when I plug it I only see a flashing red light on the led, couldn't get to fastboot or anything, complety death. I have the bootloader unlocked so no warranty btw I was using Fusion 3.5 with FXP 142 if that helps. Also tried to connect it to the computer but it doesnt recognize the computer.
Thanks a lot for your help in advance, Im quite desperate already I dont know what else to do.
Best regards
Remove battery
Hold the power button for more than 5 seconds
Clean the microconnection with toothpick
Reinsert battery
Connect AC-adapter
Leave the phone if it doesnt start automaticly
Now, reconnect AC-adapter every 30 minutes.
Look at your battery, is it deformed?
If yes, its dead.
Try other batteries.
Connect to AC-adapter without battery and try to turn it on.

I have the CDMA Virgin Mobile One V. My RUU is acting up. I have used it before and it has worked perfectly but recently it started showing an error about my battery being lower than 30% even though I have charged it to 100%. I already have a nandroid backup of the stock ROM I just want to find out why it isn't working. I usually don't flash the stock recovery before I use the RUU. I just lock the bootloader and it has worked before so I don't think that's the problem!! What do I do?
Try rebooting to bootloader before running the ruu. See if that solves your problem, and either way let us know.

I am always in bootloader mode when I run it.
Try using a different computer and USB cable. Eliminate the obvious stuff first.

We must run the RUU in fastboot mode not bootloader mode.
fastboot -> fastboot usb
bootloader -> hboot usb

Sorry, I meant fastboot mode.
Have you tried one of the free battery apps on the android market? Sometimes keeping your phone on charge too much will decrease battery life and uncalibrate the battery. Download Battery Doctor. Its free. Make sure your battery is below 10% when you run the app. Charge your phone with the app running until is says completed. This can help recalibrate the battery and help extend battery life again.
Learned from experience with an ipod 2g that had about 20 minutes of battery life from full charge to dead then used a battery app and restored the battery to normal. Also try not to leave your phone in hot places for long periods of time.

Thanks. I'll try that.
I got the 4.2.2 sense 5 update on my htc one x . I'm just noticing one strange thing... As I switched off my phone with power save on + fastboot on, power saver on + fast boot off, power saver off + fast boot on(this took time to shut down like proper shut down), both power save and fast boot off, all the possible way, but when I go to power setting in all cases, I see that in "history" that time is not starting again, its already high like 1 hr some minutes going more n more still, like the phone was never switched off properly!
I know earlier in 4.1.1 if power save weather off or on, but in fast boot on the phone is not properly shut down... but if fast boot is off then the history refreshes which use to tell us that the phone was properly shut down. But in above case nothing is working!!
Is it a big problem of battery drain or anything, Any accurate clue please ?
I have not done factory reset, but have done clear cache partition ... still nothing....
Should I factory reset then ?
hold the power button for 5 sec...it should reset the phone

You mean the soft reset?! That makes phone restart?! If yes then that's also not working

try the batt test frm the test menu(*#*#3424#*#*)...
it's fine now, I did a factory reset and it did reset the history time (my battery was low that time) . After that when I switched off my phone and powered it back on (with power save on and fast boot off) still the history time was picking up from where it stopped . So I kept my phone on charging, didn't even do the wipe cache partition or anything . And as I woke up today, I switched off and turned on again and history got refreshed and even restarted in same settings and again history got refreshed!! Yuppie its all perfect now and after factory reset its still all super smooth!
Just battery was draining little fast, then I noticed there's a hidden facebook update, after that update the battery drain is happening slower like really normal, still maybe if required a patch might do better .
Thank you all still!

you are absolutely right, its something like that for sure.... as now when my battery was around 55% and I did restart in power save on and fast boot off,,,, the history time did not refreshed... so I guess its nothing to worry about and its little less than normal drain for me and gets very normal drain after 70% ! its I think htc made Something new to make things ready for us fast, which is making battery drain little faster on hox being 1800 mah, but would not be impacting much on htc one m7 I believe .

Did you perform a factory reset after the upgrade? If not, backup and try that first as I have no issues with battery life on Lollipop. Also, make sure the apps you use are up-to-date as it might be one of them not playing nice with 5.0 yet...
same issue here...im stock and unrooted. I dont think greenify can do much. Phone heats up more than before and thus causes more battery drainage... i guess unless we roor the phone, we are stuck with this, or unless there is a software update from htc to fix the issue
I'm with EddyOS on the factory reset. I'd do that, but probably through hboot. I'm running lollipop slightly overclocked with a fairly aggressive custom kernel and I'm not dealing with any heat or undue battery drain. Battery life is actually better than kitkat. I'm running a radically debloated ROM, too, but even on a simply rooted stock ROM with a stock kernel I didn't have such issues.
Thanks for all. Now my HTC One_M8 battery working for automatically after 3 days of update.
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using XDA Free mobile app
I can tell you that it's down to apps and cpu.... I took update from 4.4.3 to 4.4.4 ... consumption was massively increased (15-20 mins lost around 10% battery power) ....later ran tr/towelroot/sunshine apps and if I left them running longer I'd have had a new room heater
Turn off after an update, see if that clears it up first, if it continues then do a factory reset

I've had a similar problem since I got the lollipop update, my battery seems to die at somewhere between 20 and 15% and the phone will turn off. Sometimes it will come back on sometimes it won't. I thought a factory reset would do the job so I ended up flashing AR HD (a factory reset was a good enough reason to move away from stock) and its happened again. Anyone any uses what could be causing it?

Tap on extreme powersaving mode. not the on button, but the words Powersaving mode in the settings. make sure that it is at 5% that it turns on, not 20% I had that problem. before.
