Hi.
Just flashed my Desire to LeeDroid 3.0.8.2
In Settings > About Phone > Battery > Battery Use , shouldnt it say charging while the phone is charging? I remember it used to be like that in 2.2. And I've been charging my phone but at the top where the graph is, says 13h 41m on battery.
I think it shuold be reset after I unplug or finished charging. At the bottom also displays the list of apps that have been using the battery.
I've reboot the phone, took off the battery. It just doesnt reset!
Is anyone experiencing the same problem?
addition :
when I press the graph at the top of the screen in Battery Use, it shows a graph.
At the top , it says , 13h 42m 36s on battery , at the bottom of the graph it says 17h 33m 59s.
If I remember clearly, 17hours ago was the time that I've successfully flashed to LeeDroid. Meaning ,it did not reset ever since!
Someone please help or comment.
update :
in recovery, wiping out battery stats reset it. However, it is still not functioning properly.
here's what ive noticed.
1. when I plug in the charger, the stats freezes regardless if I press refresh.
2. after unplugging, and did a pressed menu button > refresh in "Battery Use" , it updates, but resumes the time on battery.
Any help? Has it got anything to do with S-off? I did not do it. :|

Yes I have!
Update : I installed Cyanogenmod too, same thing. Now doing S-Off, will update this thread soon!
Update :
S-off, but still no luck. I dont know whats going on. I even cleared battery stats in recovery. That will reset the numbers in Battery Use.
Please let me know , when phone is charging, under Battery Use , does it say charging? or anything? And after unplugging the charger, will it say time since unplugged? Mine just continues the timer "xm xs on battery"
update :
Ive managed to get S-OFF, ive cleared everything, isntalled different roms(cyanogen)
now back to LeeDroid...
still the same,
I GIVE UP..

Hay I just left my phone on over night to see what uses the most battery with me doing anything.
The screen used 30% of the battery, what is odd is that everything in the settings is off or set to the lowest it can be set to.
Can you guys help me with how to save more battery from the screen, this is silly that its using so much when it's not doing anything.
What can you think of to help?

Are you unrooted? Do you have a custom ROM? Have you tried taking battery in and out? Or even when these things happened when I was not rooted I found turning airplane mode on and off to work or rebooting the phone as it might of just been a rogue app not allowing the phone to sleep.

hi ,
i would say it is a app, behaving badly ,( badly coded, battery drain? ) that's draining your battery like that ..?
i would suggest try "currentWidget " to check you battery drain ( just remeber to enable the log file, in settings !
my drain, if i leave it overnight,
say about, 9/10 hours, is about 3%/ 4% for this period ( 1mA /3mA a hour )
also try "SystemPanel " to monitor you applications over period of time .
i had same problems as you,
say 15/20% battery drain ,from time to time ,but everytime managed,to id the culprit , with above apps ..!!!
you can find both applications in the market ?
you also don't need, any root for these apps above .
good luck
I'm using LEEDROID v5 I think which shouldn't make a big difference.
Thanks in will download the app and see what they say

regarding the OP, with a lot of the newer kernels the power monitoring stuff is snafu, confirmed by Mad-murdoch on cm, thus the reports of what's using the power are useless, although the overall usage is correct.
I have a brand-new stock HTC battery although I have never let it completely discharge from when I got it replaced. I've been using Battery Monitor Widget's Calibration setting to calibrate the battery. Still getting bad battery life and awake time is almost equivalent with uptime...with the screen off. Running MIKG2.59 with ChopSuey9.2.7. Any Ideas?
Well u could do is try a different kernel and see if that works. Also I see that to me your times are fine. Just don't constantly keep ur screen on and youll see that after a while, times between the two would be much different. Try and see if those options work for you. If none of those work, there is a posting about this issue. Just click in the search box and it will come up. Hope that helps.

Thats the thing about it is the screen was off. I drained it to 0% and it is back to full charge and calibrated again. I still get the awake and uptime as being the same. I would expect the awake time to stop incrementing once the screen turns off and the phone is idle. I'll flash a different kernel and see if that does the trick. Does anyone know where to get the poonsense kernel? it won't download in kernel manager pro.

I did have it on my phone. But I don't think I have it anymore. But let me double check and see if I can upload it once I find it. I know I seen the the kernel in another forum in the Evolvedroms section. Check in there unless someone can upload it for ya before me.

There's no wake lock there. Just charge your phone all the way, calibrate battery, let it die, then charge all the way again. Your stats look normal to me.

If nothing seems to work, try reflashing your kernel(wipe dalvik and cache before flashing) or reflash Rom. Wipe stats as usual.

1. While in Android, charge up to 100% and leave the phone plugged in.
it dosen't charge up to 100% to use this method
In this case 100% are the maximum you can reach. You can check the exact battery status in system settings!

1. Sorry, haven't thought about that. Yes, it has to be rooted.
2. If your phone is rooted you can find it with root explorer.
3. Yes, for rooting your phone needs to be S-OFF
Maybe you can use that one - found it in another topic:
1. Power on your phone then connect to your Charger and Fully charge until the LED changes Green.
2. Disconnect your phone from the charger and then power off.
3. Reconnect your phone to your charger with the power off and wait for the green LED.
4. Disconnect the phone from the charger and power it on.
5. Once the phone has fully booted / ready to use ... power off again.
6. With the power off connect the phone to the charger and wait for the green LED.
7. Disconnect from the Charger then power on and use normally.
Needs no root, but I haven't tried that yet. Most of the users said that it worked, but keep in mind that battery calibration can always damage your battery.
My battery never charge up to 100% last time i saw green light from fulfully charged phone was last year. I can charge it for 48 hours turned of it still wont be green
Which status is shown in phone->status->battery status?

Can anyone help ?
My phone was all fine, till i flashed Arco's CM10, then my phone started randomly switching off. When started, it showed 0% battery, which was weird as it was always properly charged.
Then i restored my CM9 backup, to check if it was a ROM bug, but I got the same error again.
Attached screenshot for battery stats. Battery problem or Software bug ? Anyone with same bug ?
After flashing the ROM, did you wipe battery stats? If not, that will probably be the cause of the weird readings......
Basically, over time, your phone would have calibrated the battery usage to your previous ROM....when you installed your new ROM (that has different battery usage patterns) your phone is still trying to apply the stats from the old ROM which is what is causing the problems.....wipe your battery stats then complete 3 or 4 full charge - full discharge cycles, and things *should* settle down....
From my Galaxy W on CM9 and CWM6 with Tapatalk 2
Tried that...
But it gets weirder and weirder :/

Try the battery calibrator on the playstore.
If it still persist then the problem is in your battery.. suggest you change the battery with the new one
Pressing "Thanks" button will be much appreciated if user's posts useful for you
Or you can try this:
Clear battery stats via CWM. Turn off your phone, and charge it. Wait until the charge indicator shows up on screen. Then turn on your phone and leave it until it's full.
Sometimes when I get batt weird reading, that trick works for me.
In some occasion I found that offline charging and online charging shows different battery level.
when should i plug the cable if use ur trick?

I use the rom aokp milestone m1-r1 with kernel 4.0 fusion and also notice this problem. if I use the 3g, the battery dies quickly. I am always on 2g with data off and only use when needed. wifi does not occur with this problem.

Another battery will not help.
Another kernel will not help.
Wiping battery stats does nothing, all stories about "improving battery life" are complete bull**** - it has nothing to do with battery!!
All ICS and ICS-Based ROMs, yes that also means all Jelly Bean ROMs,that are based on ICS, have that ICS bug, which causes battery drain after every charge. You need to restart your phone in order to fix it. Restart after charging and no more massive drain should occur.
If it does, it must be something in your personal settings.

Flash 72 baseband...Baseband 77 has battery drain issues...Also facebook eats some battery in standby...Change the refresh interval to 30 min and see...Also alarm app eats the battery. I know that. Dont set a daily alarm, instead set it just before gng to sleep.
I'm experiencing quite the same problem on my Arc (LT15i) although I don't think it occurs after every charge, and I'm not even sure it does only appear when I charged the phone.
I remarked that the radio is going a bit buggy (switching from Wi-Fi to 2G/3G or constantly reconnecting to the mobile network) and when this appears, I have to reboot the phone or the battery dies in 6 to 8 hours (when the problem don't occurs, it can go on for 36-48h).
Anyone has noticed the same thing or am I experiencing another battery drain problem ?
Not trying to hijack or anything, but as my problem relates to yours, I thought I'll write to this thread.
My LT18i battery drains around 10-20%/hour even when put to airplane mode and rebooting before. I just tested last night and charged the battery full, left the phone to airplane mode and at the morning after 7 hours there was 20% left!!! I even checked from betterbatterystats and the phone had been on deep sleep almost all the time.
Have had this problem for a while, but havent found any solution to it, if anyone can help, PLEASE do!
P.S running on stock GB

There is an app or something, that is using lots of battery. Check sync settings (some apps have it in app settings), turn off WiFi/3G/Bluetooth/GPS, make sure app is working.
And do not use taskkillers.
And if you can, post a screenshot of Battery Usage screen, with the list of apps consuming battery.
I flashed Stock ICS .587 on my arc last night and charged it 'till today in morning so i took my arc restarted it and 'till now worked just fine,my battery is almost dead but i used my phone today at max.I did some callings, played Asphalt 7,used wifi and internet, dolphin browser, installed some basic apps from market, done a cwm bacup, installed some cam mods cyber-shot,tested the camera.but hey even the battery is dieing now it's cool.I had fun with it for today,i hope this battery will last always ss today.
Apps kills the battery,so i deleted FB,i frezzed some apps that i don't use everyday, and i have my brightness on 50%.
I know i didn't help to much but i'm sharing my expirence.
And yeah sry for my english.

Pretty sure, theres no apps running and I have everything turned off, I even took the sim card off for testing purposes.
Betterbatterystats shows 98% deep sleep at my tes period of one night.
Now it gets even weirder...A friend of mine suggested that I try to turn the phone fully off (power totally off).
I charged the battery to 100% last night and pulled the battery, putted it back on and let the phone sit on the table untouched for the night. When I turned it on on the morning battery showed 4% left!!!
So theres a huge drain even when the phones power is turned fully off. I dont know does this indicate a broken battery (battery 2 months old) or something wrong with the hardware ???
Turn phone off. Charge to 100% when 2-5% left
After fullcharge, use ur phone. When it drops to 50% exactly shut it down. Remove battery for a minute. Reinsert battery and dont turn it on.
Charge it again to 100%
Done
This worked for me
