HTC 10 How to reduce vibration intensity - HTC 10 Questions & Answers

The haptic feedback is very good for me but the HTC 1O's one is verry obnoxious
I've tried to reduce it to level 1 in Touchpal keybord settings but it still working as a Turbo motor
I'm running Venon Rom
I've Installed the EX kernel but I don't see an amelioration!
Please I need your help
Thanks to all

Keyboard lag in most 2.1 roms

I have been using 2.1 custom roms for a while now, but have now gone back to the latest stock 1.5
I have to say i am loving the quick typing I can now do on the keyboard. And general quick system responses.
What is causing the lag in 2.1 custom roms? As this is making them unusable for me.

all 2.1 portings are laggy... damn
The main cause of the lag is Haptic feedback - ie the little vibration with each key press. Turn this off if you can live without it and you will get a much faster response.
The other cause of lag is as it searches for suggested words - have a play with the prediction settings to see if that makes a difference.
I have to say that I am utterly happy with VillainRom 5.4. I started autokiller on moderate settings then I used the overclock widget to force it to run at maximum speed when the screen is on and minimum speed when it is off and it works brilliantly. Full complements to the chef!

I did have a little play with the heptic feedback, but to be honest, i didn't really see much difference. Didn't test the prediction settings, didn't think of that, but if it works on the 1.5 stock rom perfectly, without any tinkerings, it should surly be possible with the 2.1 roms.
anyhow, to be honest, although i dont like the market app on 1.5, everything else is great. So i think I am just going to wait now for the official 2.1. I am tired of rom hopping.

Even if i turned off the haptic feedback the keyboard is just darn slow....
How can it be that the same suggested words in 1.5/1.6 work so much faster...
Its really annoying that typing is this slow on the 2.1 roms, especially looking at the many sms messages is send
or does anyone have a suggestion for another (quick) keyboard that also has word suggestion/correction???
I found the HTC_IME v24 keyboard to be an improvement on previous ones and usable for me, even with haptic on. But then maybe I don't type as quick as others!
you absolutely have to try villainslide. I pretty much came when I used the keyboard

Just curious, was the keyboard the mod version? or was it a clean version?
I have the idea the lag also comes from some of the mods...
i also notice a huge lag when typing on my HTC Hero using VillainRom 5.4, its been like this in 5.2, 5.3 as well. (the only roms ive tested).
Tried turning of the feedback thing, but that didnt help at all.
Quite annoying, can someone try and find a way to fix this ? The rom it self is perfect else.

Its a paid app from the market. I think theres a free one month trial version available though
I bought Smart Keyboard Pro and I noticed a difference you can try it out if you want and if you dont like it you can get a refund within 24hrs of purchase
I don't use htc keyboard anymore. Try shapewriter. It's free. It's impressive... A really really fast way to write... Just a couple of minutes to learn how to use...
Try it from market!

[Q] Increase Haptic Feedback?

well is it possible? because i cant feel my phones haptic feedback at all ;p so is there a way to increase it?
p.s. im using an otterbox case
If you are using CM6, you can adjust the haptic feedback in the CM settings (Settings->CyanogenMod settings->Input Settings->Haptic feedback tweaks). Not sure if you are on stock or other ROMs though.
Try the mother of all haptics.... Kickback.
good answer. Kickback is definitely the most extreme vibration feedback you'll get from your phone

Disabling sensor related settings to improve battery life?

On my old desire, if I turn off following settings of sense 3.5 Rom, battery life improved:
Under sound:
*quiet ring on pickup
*pocket mode
*flip for speaker
Will these tricks also work on Hox?
PS. I'm messing around with different Roms so I can't really tell.

Volume Scheduler for MIUI (ICM Builds)

I recently just flash Captain Morgan 2.7.13 MIUI rom and all is well so far! My only gripe is that I was using this app called Sound Manager to schedule sound profiles for when i get to work and when i get off work, doesn't seem to work with ICS (ringer and notification being one?) This is very important to me because i always forget to take my phone off silent and miss important phone calls at times.
Any suggestions?

Changing the duration of the vibration on soft keys

Hi,
anyone knows how i can change the vibration intensity of the soft keys? its now too high for liking, making the phone seemed somewhat hollow when i press the soft keys. I think the minimum intensity is also too high coz i cant make it any lower with swiftkey settings too.
Do i have to root it or anything i can do?
Thanks!

if you could root there are amazing custom roms on HTC 10 rom section... i don't like the default vibration intensity but then even before i inserted the sim i unlocked and rooted htc 10 so....
The default vibration setting on the stock rom is a staggering 79% Waaay too high! The best kernel for adjusting your vibration intensity is the ElementalX. Yes, you will have to root your phone to install the EX kernel. The vibration was driving me crazy. Of course, my girlfriend liked it, but that's another story. d'oh!
Using the EX kernel you can do this.....

Wow thanks all for the quick replies!
Can this kernel work with all custom roms or specific ones? i have flashed roms before but never flashed kernels before, appreciate some guidance on this!

EX works with all of them. Just get the EX Kernel Manager from the Play Store and you're ready to roll.

Meaning i can actually just root and keep my stock rom, and download the Ex Kernel Manager? Custom rom is optional?
