Anyone has a problem with camera and saving HD pictures? Every time I try to make a HD photo I get this:

I rebooted phone, problem still persists. It's rooted but the rest is stock. OX 3.1.3 I found someone else having same problem:

I had the same issue, unfortunately the only way I fixed it was by reflashing stock. You should be able to do so with no wipe though, or at the moment I am on the debloated one http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/development/rom-op3lite-debloated-tweaked-fast-t3404996 .. It is working great so far no camera issues or any others.
It works! I have reflashed stock zip and problem is gone. I hope it won't be back. It looks like there is a problem with drivers as Google camera app couldn't connect to the device, op3 app was unable to switch between front and rear camera after taking shot etc. Thank you for your help.

As this thread doesn't have the right fix documented, let me.
Fix is to set permissions of /system/build.prop to rwx-r-r. It's highly probable that some other build prop editor app changed that permission.

Hey, can you tell me a file explorer in which I can do that? I remember you could do it in ES File Explorer but now in File properties it just says Readable: Yes, Writable: Yes, Hidden: No.
P.S: I don't know if I have the same problem, because I can use Google Camera to take photos, stock camera all photos green.
Thanks

You will need root to view the /system folder as I'm sure you're aware. ES File Explorer has a toggle for Root Explorer (Top left settings tab).
Go into your /system folder and you should see a build.prop. Go into its properties and change permissions to Owner: Read Write Execute; Group: Read; Other: Read

Thank you !!
I forgot about that root switch in ES. Stock camera works perfectly now.

Hi, yesterday I removed a whole load of junk apps thanks to this thread, but I now have a problem and need help with it.
I decided to move 'SemcGallery3D.apk' and 'SemcCamera3D.apk' to the SD card because I didn't want the 3D option, but then afterwards the panorama and 3D panorama don't work also the whole gallery application doesn't work (not just the 3D gallery). I moved the two files back to the system/app folder, but it still doesn't work, is there another step involved in restoring these?
thanks
hold on the app until the dialog box come out, click permissions, check all the read/write/execute box , see if this help

I just tried this, but it made no difference
Put back both to /system/app. Permission should be rw-r-r

Actually I just checked and the two apps in question aren't rw-r-r, but rwxr-x. So I am guessing that's the problem? I'm still new to all this, so how to I change them back to rw-r-r? Is it to do with how the folder is mounted r/w R/O etc.? Can you explain what's the difference, thanks

use Root explorer (Needs Root) copy the file to the folder, there is a button on the top right side to mount it as RW (re-writable) from RO (Read Only), if you long press on the file, a popup menu will open, from there select permissions, and set it in this order:
R W -
R - -
R - -

System files/apps without the correct permissions will not work, and may even result in bootloops.
Okay thanks, I did this and when I restarted the phone it worked again

es file manager is run ok
oi file manager also ok to browse sdcard
but i need use root explorer to set permission for copy or moving system apk file
if you've restored root explorer from a previous rom you may need to clear root explorer data in apps
try pressing MOUNT AS R/W . not sure tho.
you can explore sd card and system files with es file explorer to, and is free. for this go in settings - go down and check root explorer and mount file system. now you can change your system files. care with this...

Yo guys, I've got a situation here.
So I was using the tablet of my mum, and when I tried to install a navigation app for her, it said that I don't have enough space left. Well I checked and found that:

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
can any of you guys tell why the heck gallery takes up 8,37 gb?! my mum never ever does any photos with this tablet...
Not sure exactly why it's that big but did you look into the "App info" screen & try to clear data?
I've kinda experienced this on another device but nowhere near that much was being used, turned out it was a temp thumbnail cache file, it just grew bigger & bigger, over 1GB at one time, still have to keep clearing/deleting it every so often.

provided you have root and custom recovery AND your rom is de-odexed
pull the gallery.apk from system and store it on your sdcard, then delete the original.
then go jnto dcim/.thumbnails and clear it. then goto app settings and clear data.
then reboot to recovery and wipe caches. then reboot. then drop gallery apk back into
system, the reset permissions on gallery.apk to 644 then reboot.
now recheck.

K the problem is that this tablet is not mine, it's from my mum, and she doesn't want to root /unlock it because it still got warrenty
with root, i wouldn't be a great problem for me to reset that
I have faced this problem multiple times, this is how i resolved it.
There are two .thumbnails folders
1.) Sdcard
2.) dcim\.thumbnails
Enable hidden files in My Files or ex explorer settings and delete these directories
And using es explorer create a file .thumbnails where the directory used to be
This will ensure that the .thumbnails directory is never created as there is already a file with the same name there.
The dcim/.thumnails is for the gallery
The sdcard/.thumbnails is for the video player
Note: in kitkat use Mx player as the stock video player seems to crash if you create a file at sdcard/.thumbnails
I have been trying for a while now to get the APK for S-Note to install on stock 4.4.4 and fails every time I try. So online I found another way I could do this is to use root explorer thats in ES Explorer. The problem is the copying to anything on root fails even though the root option is enabled in ES Explorer and my phone is rooted. So my thought is that maybe the file explorer is messed up or something. I know the APK for S-note works because it worked prior to me going to stock from another customer rom. Any suggestions?
Did you mount system as rw?

I don't remember seeing that as an option. Where in the app do I do this?
Tap on root explorer, not the button, then you will see this screen:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",

}
Go to mount r/w, then select rw for system
That worked, however I am getting a describe error. It says there is a problem parsing the package. I am not understanding why this APK does not work. The icon looks normal when its not in the system app folder. When its copied there I see the the android gremlin thing sitting in a box. This is extremely aggravating because I know this worked on 4.4.2 just fine.

You mean the mount rw thing? That part I was able to do. Even when I set it back and reboot the app does not show up in my app drawer.

Your welcome.
Dear friends,
I have encountered an uncommon bug. Actually unsure whether it's a bug or not. Namely, when I download certain photos from the Google app on my OnePlus 5T, they do not get downloaded to local storage like other photos, but to the path written above. Furthermore, I am unable to delete these photos, unlike all other photos, and they can only be accessed through the Downloads app. The gallery does not list them. Has anyone encountered this error before? The images below show you my problem.

im sorry, i just checked and you cant acces that direction without root, so its not a bug because where you download photos from that app, its private to that app only location (unless to system apps or root with root-access apps) and you should be able to delete those with Downloads app, as far i can see from that photo, its cache photo so if you are not able to delete that photo (you should able to do that) then you should try to clear Downloads app's clear data from apps manager (you Can lose your downloaded data if they are not in normal Download folder or somewhere else in storage where all apps can access them)

So the question is: Why are photos downloaded from Google downloaded there.
Are you sure that is the only copy? Because that file in cache folder, for example open fx Explorer enable hidden files go to dcim/.thumbnails you will see a lot of low res photos, including deletes ones
