Hi, is there a way to verify the capacity without tearing down the phone? Online validation says the battery capacity is 3000mAh, but then it also says that my DPI is 480. -_-
Halp?

Hi, battery life is ok-ok, with ~16hrs from 100%-20%.
Stock DPI is 401 for OP3; below is a screenshot from oneplus.net

DPI (Dots Per Inch) is different to PPI (Pixel Per Inch)
I just don't know how to explain the difference.

Oh come on. Did you even read the context? I know what PPI/DPI refer to "technically", but we are talking about screen densities, not image files or printer capabilities. I've worked with digital images for over 3 years now.
And to quote your link,
DPI only refers to the printer.

All that PPI does is affect the print size of the image.

We were talking about screens, and why a pixel per inch there is not the same as dots per inch. To be more specific, how is it possible for a screen to have 401 DPI and 480 DPI .

Try aida64. It is accurate. See the screenshots. And ppi is the actual 'hardware' pixels per square inch, versus the dpi which is more of the 'software' depth per square inch; meaning it is more like a resolution (customizable). Google is your friend!

Well, anyway, thanks! I checked out the app, it shows battery (reported by android) as 3000mAh [don't mind me being skeptical ].
Also, the app shows OP3 has a step counter, CPU-Z doesn't. I've lost faith

Hox has very good camera module, you need to play a bit with settings. On auto sometimes it's crappy.

You shouldn't use widescreen mode in widescreen mode you don't have 8mpx you will have just 6 mpx set sharpness to -1 and iso to 100 and this should be the best config for the hox

Personally i'm using sharpness -2, iso & exposure depends on situation and after photo is taken i'm correcting white balance (not always) in editor (because in camera options htc didn't include all AWB settings :<). Photos are grainy but there is a lot of details... overall it's a decent shooter with really clever interface.
I'm a real photographer in real life.. and I always play a lot with my toy camera a.k.a LOMO that still using negative as module.. and what I saw here is modern people style thinking.. my friend, my sensei(teacher) tell me this.. 'a good photo come from a good photographer, not a good camera'.. just use iyapota mod..
and here is sunny day configuration,,
exp = +1
cont = +2
Sat = +1
sharp = +1
ISO = 'it sunny, so test it with low iso 1st and make sure when you are using camera, turn you phone brightness to max so you can see if the photo failed'
Hope this help a little.. For night or dark.. we need a better sensor to focus.. so I always bring torch with me so I can light up subject for focusing before I snap.
shouldnt i select widescreen ?

It all up to you.. it doesn't matter wide or not.. I always use wide.. just make sure you shooting with correct light sources.. that actually what every photographer should know.. low light will giving you a great picture sometime with our f2.0 aperture but any picture still need correct light value to light up photo.. So keep try to find a good and compatible setting for you need. And don't compare picture when it still in phone.. better use pc to see the real quality of a picture. And you need to love the camera so you can learn to use it. Here some sample.
Auto Mode
Sunset Mode
Low Light Panorama
HDR
Or just head to this Thread to see how great our camera if we know how to use it well
Hope it help you.

Are you sure about this? The many comparisons I have seen online always show the One X having deeper colours and less noise in low light. Pictures taking on the S3 seem a little... bland.

My last phone was an IncS and I have to say the HOX outperforms it. While the megapixels are the same, the quality of the lens is better and the image chip in the HOX is better and produces better photos.
Regardless, if I need to take any photos, I use my dslr.

Yup! Correct! It actually need to base on our purpose 1st before saying it is good or not.. Let me give you a situation.. You need to snap 100 of people in one picture.. And you'll need to use a higher mp so when we try to zooming closer when viewing in pc or media viewer it will not have distort face..

Everything works flawlessly with dpi set as 400.
I tried 440 dpi and it broke the camera focus, twitter images and some other stuff, 400 will probably mess a lot of stuff up, unfortunately..
I'd really want to use it set to 400 too, guess I'll wait for nougat

actually not bro..turbo charger supports both fast as well as normal charging for supported soc's. it actually change the current according to ur device temperature....
the latest qualcomm has made severe changes inside turbo powered charger which couldn't able to stabilize the input voltage fluctuations. and that is why we all expirence ghost touch... i even checked my socket with Multimeter...hell yeah that was true....
atlast ive plugged stock moto turbo charger to the stabilizer, believe it or not i played nova 3 for exactly 44 mins beside charge was on !
so this caused ghost touch !
hope you understood

You mean they are very accurate. Colors are rarely flashing, bright and magnificent. Most colors in life are dull and boring. Manufacturers like Samsung tend to oversaturate everything, reducing the color palette to 20 colors, so everything and everyone looks like he just jumped out of a photoshop booth. Because of them and others, people have no idea how colors are supposed to look like any more.
You can increase saturation by going into
Settings
-> Display
-> (scroll down)
-> Colors
There you can choose to change Natural to either Boosted or Adaptive (the latter I would not recommend, since that one crushes blacks/grays). Beyond that, there is not much you can do without root.

Got to be honest, I don't like the display. I think it looks sub par and you can also tell it doesn't use a diamond sub pixel matrix. It's a b grade display to my eyes.

Hi guys,
weird question I guess: How do I know my cam is working as intendend?
Tried the CRDroid-ROM, worked great, then I noticed my Cam (Gcam-mod) only does 12,5MP-shots in every mode at max.
Thought it was the ROM, now back to a wiped clean Factory February-image from Google. Yet exactly the same but with way less options.
Still only 12,5MP and compared to my other phones it's not even better. Considering I bought the P6P mainly because of the camera it's a bit of a let-down.
I thought it was 50, 48 and 12,5MP.
Am I too dumb to see my error here or what's up with it?
Thanks for your time.
The camera converts all shots to 12.5 mp. Samsungs does this too. Its false marketing.

This actually is false.
You have an option in the camera settings of the Samsung S21 ultra that allows you to take 108mp shots. Full res. They're huge files. But they're awesome when you need all the detail in great lighting. I was SEVERELY DISAPPOINTED that there is NO OPTION to change the Pixel 6 Pro to 50MP. In my book it's still a 12mp camera, which really SUCKS when wanted the bigger picture...
Ok didn't know
