I noticed that the pixel colors are very dull, what can I do to make them brighter?

You mean they are very accurate. Colors are rarely flashing, bright and magnificent. Most colors in life are dull and boring. Manufacturers like Samsung tend to oversaturate everything, reducing the color palette to 20 colors, so everything and everyone looks like he just jumped out of a photoshop booth. Because of them and others, people have no idea how colors are supposed to look like any more.
You can increase saturation by going into
Settings
-> Display
-> (scroll down)
-> Colors
There you can choose to change Natural to either Boosted or Adaptive (the latter I would not recommend, since that one crushes blacks/grays). Beyond that, there is not much you can do without root.

Thanks, but even in comparison to my "old" oneplus 7 pro "the colors are very bright

Got to be honest, I don't like the display. I think it looks sub par and you can also tell it doesn't use a diamond sub pixel matrix. It's a b grade display to my eyes.

There are mods where you can adjust the color spectrum, Contrast, etc depending on which Kernel/Governors you run

I am psyched! The Color Changer Pro app was what I was looking for. I have specific red/green/blue settings and this app did exactly what I want. I like a bluish, cool tone on my screen (red 217, green 232, blue 255).

He doesn't have a defective unit. The color display may be technically "accurate", but it looks crap compared to other flagships It's just the truth and everyone knows it.

There's another awesome app called 'Screen Balance'. That in conjunction with color changer Pro makes my screen look almost identical to my 9 Pro or S21 Ultra. Heavily recommended for you bro.

Two color- Red/Green. Custom ROMs might be able to leverage a mix of the two to form a few other secondary colors, but it will not be a full spectrum RGB notification system.

yes i saw that thread , but actually no one of them make me satisfied , so i went back to turn the srgb OFF .
so i thought there is more profiles that can be attractive

Hey I am wondering if there is any difference between the two of displays. I have lgd and no problem occurred so far. But rumors say there are problems like yellowish screen and screen shadow etc. Can you fill me in on about this affairs?

says mine is JDI but it looks good to me so I don't mind. the colours on it is cooler than my pc monitor too so I don;t think the tint thing is entirely accurate but then again that may change with time (doubt it though)

probably because there was a shortage with one company so they used 2 to meet the produciton targets.
JDI has 3D Touch, but it's a little bit yellowish.
Hi guys, because my job is under the sun and Pixle 2 XL bright is horrible (can't read it! It seems almost completely black) I'd like to know If there's a way to pump up/raise brightness of my display to the limit.

Flar2, who's one of the best kernel Devs out there, and came up with HBM (high brightness mode) has said that's it not yet possible because of the LG panels that the P2XL uses. So I'm afraid your outa luck for a while bruh ?
Try a different theme which will enable nore contrast.

Thank you for your suggestion Dieselhazza but I need to raise the lux/din of my display over the limits set by Google/Lg.
Do you know if is it possible having also my phone magisked?
Has anyone found a mod to raise the brightness... Anything out there. HBM only pushes to Max Brightness and doesn't support Pixel 2 XL. And I've heard about the screen burn in issues. Obviously it'd be at my own risk as with any mods on these forums.

No mod as of yet, unfortunately! I know flar2, the Dev for Ex kernel and the app has been trying. However, doesn't sound like the LG panels are conducive to this mod

Cool. Thanks guys. I can always enable high Contrast and theme with brighter colors. Looking for the app. If was a significant difference with Flars work on the Pixel XL.
Gotta travel the next few days and miss it when I'm outside... Although I usually flash back to stock, whenever I'm out and about. I'll be back on Validus by Thursday.

Overall anyway the quality is very poor.
Got my r6 today. No idea why but it seems to overheat 5-10 minutes after camera use. Not even video shooting - just taking photos (which are,to my regret, really bad compared to note 20 ultra). You ever witnessed this issue? Also,did you manage to find where to turn down refresh rate or is it locked at 240?
This phone is very interesting! May I ask about whether the phone is SIM-locked, whether it is easy to unlock, and whether there could be some issues using it in Europe?

Hey, do you notice flickering on the screen especially on lower brightness? Also do you notice blue tint also on low brightness?

So I have an Aquos R6 - the color science seems off - bluish tinge that can easily be corrected with even google photos. Also the speakers for ringtones and notifications seem really bad but watching apps like HBO Max seem much better. But no settings I can find.
