Well... i don't like most of the backcovers, except the one of Nexus5. So i started to think about, how to create my own LG-G4 Backcover.
I went to the local skate shop, where i buyed a piece of skate tape, and here is what i did:

It takes some time to get pleasent in your hand, though.
But it will bring some really cool advantages:
It will stick almost everywhere (car seat, sofa, bed, pocket, ...)
Pickpockets will have no chance.
You will be forced, to lay down your phone gently, in case of scratches on your table
Always a cornea rasp with you. :highfive:
diy-Tips:
Cut an oversized piece for your back cover.
Don't forget the speaker hole in case it's a grid, and on the back side (e.g. LG G4), and cut this first.
Point in your cutted out speaker hole first, then the rest.
Use a hair-dryer to tie the tape over edges.
Cut off overhangs, camera, led, ...
Cheers

ok, first off all, i've been a naughty boy.
when my screen broke (read digitizer) i've opened my mda compact.
nothing new to me, because i opened all my phones to clean them once in a while.
the reason i'm doing that is because i'm working with steel, so bits of steel always stick to the magnets in the phone, the speaker, and mic.
when i opened my mda, i had to loosen the connector wich goes to my display.
and thats where all went wrong.
i was used in pulling the black thingies, in the direction of the cables, but this one i had to lift UP instead of pulling it.
you all know what happend after i pulled.(for those who dont. I BROKE THE BLACK THINGIE)
but the digitizer is already on its way from hongkong, coz it was only 15 euro's (excl transport) instead of the 189 euro's they would let me pay in holland for a complete lcd replacement.
now i'm desperatly seeking the connector wich is highlighted in the next foto.

I ordered this case without trying it out. The dimensions said that the G-Pad will fit with 1mm to spare on top and bottom. When I got it, the tablet did not fit quite as well as I expected - I could stuff it in there against the foam liner and close the case, but it required some effort and did not feel like the seal would work well.
I decided to modify the case with a Dremel.
You can see the results in the photos below - it doesn't look pretty, but it fits the tablet very well. There is a relatively thin amount of padding on the top and bottom, but it is still decent, and the tablet should not sustain any damage if it falls, in my opinion. There is still some space on the left/right, so it moves a bit, but there is a good amount of padding so I'm not too worried about it.
Overall, if you're looking for a tough/waterproof case, this is a great option if you don't mind 5 minutes of work to make it fit. This mod can also be done with a box cutter if you don't have a Dremel.
Since I don't have a warranty anymore (small crack on screen) and the phone had some hits on corners, thought why not peal the paint off? And voila. Say hello to my chrome-ish friend
Not an easy task...it is a wax on wax off mr Miyagi task.

Nice! How did you do it?
U
Sandpaper and nail sandpaper. And a lot of scrubbing. Need to cover camera and flash and screen. Pay attention to the buttons. Lost some of the power button thickness.
You can put the HTC Logo again with a CO2 laser
What about the antennas

I didn't covered them. They turned up very good.
Now get something like Semi-Chrome polish and remove the surface scratches. The stuff is designed for firearms and stainless steel things like motorcycle exhausts and so forth. It will really smooth that up nice(er).
And of course, cover the screens and camera again.
Looks good though.
Hello,
I don't know if it was always like that or if I already got dirt into my earpiece.
To me it looks like the right two thirds of the grid of the earpiece are blocked (filled with something, maybe dirt). I will try to upload am image tomorrow.
Is it the same for you? I tried to get out or with a vacuum cleaner but it didn't change.
You can see what I mean on this picture

lol, never paid Attention to it. But you are right, I have EXACTLY the same right two thirds of the grid "blocked" .. Seems to be standard? Haven't found any issues with it so far..
That's as intended, the right two thirds are just cosmetic to make it look symmetrical, the speaker hole is only in the left third.
Hi there, I have too "dirt into my earpiece". Is it so on purpose or not?
Me too
I contacted my seller and he say me "it's normal". It´s no dirt but some like protective foil against dirt / dust.

$30 on Amazon.
Fits well and allot thinner than the Otterbox. Aslo it covers the whole front where the fingerprint reader is.

Bought the transparent one for my golden Razr 2019.
Fits and holds perfectely to the phone. It gives an almost perfect protection to the phone, only the back of the hinge is left unprotected when the phone is closed (beside applying a thin plastic protecting layer, nothing else really possible here).
Only bad thing is the shipping cost to europe: almost $ 20.- for a very long shipping of a little more than 2 weeks... So almost $ 50.- for this cover, huu! But certainly the best you can find. Its some kind of hard silicon/TPU, a little soft but not too much, so that it can hold tight to the sides of the phone, and the lower part also covers the front, only leaving the fingerprint reader uncovered. Hopefully it won't get yellow with the time.
Beautiful! really elegant, thanks for sharing
