A friend of me has a problem with his(perhaps it will be mine in the future) phone.
His phone is always rebooting, but only when the screen is turned of. Is this a bug in the stock Rom? He had this about 5 times with stock gb and now about 10 times per day with stock jb.
Is this a software problem or a hardware problem? What do you think? Should I put a custom Rom and kernel or send it to samsung? The phone is only two months old and am**on already said, that they won't repair it.
Greetings

You tried wiping data, cache and dalvik ?
Sent from my GT-I8160
He wanted to make a factory reset, with a special tool samsung (he still has warranty ) send him, and it didn't worked. The tool said that it doesn't support his device and that it is an unknown one.

Tool? Wipe data from recovery mode
Sent from my GT-I8160
Yes he did it then, but still same problem
Gesendet von meinem GT-I5500 mit Tapatalk 2
If it happens on all stock firmwares he's tried, even after data wipe, I would assume the phone is faulty.
Some of the earlier JB firmwares arent THAT stable, (altho 10 reboots a day sounds ridiculous!) but both MF1 and MG2 have been rock stable for me. (and MG2 has better memory management, so shuld be even more stable)
Ok, thank you

I am sure this has been covered before but I need to ask a question regarding the odexed 4.18.401.2 image, boot image and recovery image. After I download those from Mike's links is there a particular order in which they need to be flashed my phone is relocked and always in fastboot so I can't copy to sdcard. Any help would be appreciated thanks.
You need custom recovery at first try philz recovery ...then also erase the cache in fast boot...should all work

Thanks again, not wishing to be a pain just need to get the steps right so I don't screw it up.
Unlock the bootloader then
Falsh Philz recovery.img for the htc one x then
Do I lock the bootloader again or leave it unlocked before I flash the odexed.img then the boot.img?
No problem to help you. Just leave the bootloader open, to avoid confusion.

Thanks again, much appreciated, so this will bring me back to stock 4.22 sense 5 ROM so I can receive, if any, OTA updates?
I am used to rooting Samsung and flashing ROMS so easy but HTC seem to have a different approach, I simply did as I did with my old Samsung and soft bricked my HTC lol. Doh!
They aren't the same phones so you can't do that... And yes so you can get back to stock for the ota

Appearantly the K3V2 phones can be easily unlocked, no need for B118 or other chinese firmwares anymore!
1. Make sure you have a working adb connection to the PC
2. Boot to fastboot/bootloader either via the command adb reboot bootloader or by restarting the phone and holding down vol down+power for about 10 seconds.
3. Send this command to the phone via adb:
Code:
fastboot oem unlock UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Note: Factory reset may or may not happen, so backup everything just incase, altough it has been reported that it does not happen by local xda users
It has been reported that this method works for unlocking the bootloader and flashing TWRP is successful.
According to huaweiblog.de it has been tested multiple times on P2, P6, and the Ascend Mate and it has always been successful.

Make it a difference? I mean for most of the Custom ROMs you need to be on Chinese Firmware if I understand everything right?

You only need to be in Chinase firmware becouse it's unlocked, and you cant install Custom ROM without phone been unlocked..

As I understand when you flash a chinese rom it will run that command before the installation with the same key, but I may be wrong. Someone should try it and see if they can flash twrp afterwards when they havent been on any chinese firmwares yet.
I would try but I don't want to risk my phone.

Yea, it seems really cool! Much less risky compared to installing B118cn or 120cn! And much less work compared to flashing kitkat beta.
Can anyone confirm if this works?

The lock command does not work for me, but the unlock command seems to work. But I tested it with B125 and already unlocked bootloader. But it seems to work. No error.
Now just someone with locked bootloader should test it.

I just wanted to test that but my phone says its already unlocked, too.
There was a thread here, where I says that the bootloader is unlocked but its encrypted so you can't flash anything.

Yes, even "unlocked" the bootloader checks for a Huawei signature and you can't flash anything custom. The question is if this particular unlock gets rid of this check as China Firmwares do.
I think I'm gonna try it this night and report back.
So you can't install TWRP for unlocked firmware?

Maybe, incase of the honor 2, this enabled the flashing of boot.img but not the bootloader.img. Dont try to flash twrp to boot partition.
Maybe some things are different on P6, but I'd doubt

Well, there are no reports of bricked devices by using this method, but be caucious. It will also do a factory reset, so make a backup or something before running the command
I will make a backup than run the unlock commands and after that I will try do flash TWRP with fastboot.
