Yes, it does. You have to go to the Storage Menu and Enable OTG though.
OTG should work in principle, however propably only with a cable from Oneplus. It does not work with a OTG cable from Anker (just tested it).
Hmm, so this is strange. I have a Sandisk OTG enabled USB drive that I just connected to the OP2 using the OnePlus Micro-USB to Type C adapter. Worked perfectly to backup all my stuff from the old phone. I unplugged here and connected it as is to the OnePlus 3 and it doesn't work. Reconnecting to the OP2 works fine, all of the data shows up on PC also, but just won't show up on the OP3. Very strange, still trying to figure this out.

That is exactly what my doubt is.. I too have read that plugging in the dual otg drive via adapter doesn't works... If someone can put some light on this, we will be grateful
i purchased this Dash Micro G3 Type-C: Mini MicroSD Card Reader and it works great so far, i am mainly using it as a back up, it comes with a cool little keychain so i have when i need it, pretty compact too, does seem kinda slow, its only transfering at 15MB/s i know the sd card is way faster than that, but it works.

I tried it again and you're right... My cable has a extreme tight fit at the connector so I was a bit afraid to push it in with full force. Now I did and it moved in a tiny bit more.
Now it is working fine. So thanks @MagDag for your reply and I can now confirm that the Anker cable works fine too.
Hah indeed - it's really tight fit... I also was very careful in the beginning because I don't wanted to destroy my phone.

Sadly this is not available at Amazon India
i doubt, that the phone actually recognizes the cable itself... however it will depend on how much juice the target device needs vs what the phone provides...

The OnePlus 2 type-C to micro-USB adapter is a non-standard thing. It was required for the OP2 because the OP2 type C USB is broken.
Try a generic adapter. That's the real test. Generic adapters didn't work on the OP2.
Hmm, so on the OnePlus forums, this seems to be the consensus ... The OnePlus Adapter was for the non-standard Type C on the OP2 and will only allow charging on the OP3, but not OTG. So far, third party standards compatible adapters seem to be working fine. I just ordered the Xiaomi Type C adapter and should get it in a week. Will post here again if it works.

I bought this one from Skiva https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0140YRZDQ/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1
And use it with a cruze usb 3, the only drawback is that is taking forever to see some mp4 videos recorded from a gopro that are saved in the USB
I bought this and it works perfectly: http://www.ebay.com/itm/351729709215?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
I can confirm the Xiaomi Type C Micro USB adapter does NOT work for OTG. Yes, I had OTG enabled, no go!
I'm not seeing an option to enable usb otg in settings/storage. I'm on Oxygen 3.1.3. Am I just missing it? Do I need to unlock developer options first?

Is there any cable which would allow you to charge and read an external flash drive? Never tried OTG before, so I don't know if this is even possible.

Looks like it has a MicroUSB-A plug, which shouldn't fit into the Galaxy Nexus's MicroUSB-B port.

No, what it is is a special USB OTG adapter that has three connectors, a micro USB plug to plug into the host device, a USB socket to plug in the peripheral device, and a micro USB socket to plug in a charger. It also supplies a special resistance on the ID pin to the host device to let it know that a charger is connected so the host does not supply a voltage on the VBUS. Without this special adapter with the ID pin resistance, the host will supply a voltage to power the peripheral which will not work with the charger on the VBUS. Thus this special adapter is needed. This is defined in the USB OTG and Battery Charging specs, but so far it doesn't seem like anyone is manufacturing such a thing.

Would anybody be able to help make a cable to allow this functionality? I have Muscular Dystrophy and want to use my HTC Evo 3D with the specialized HID USB mouse emulator that's integrated into my wheelchair. This is how I control my desktop PC.

Yes, you can connect an HDD, but it requires external power and that had been mentioned a dozen times at least.

Its probably not this, as you say the light comes on, but i had the other adapter thats on this thread, which i thought was a dud, at first until i realised that i had'nt pushed the connector all the way in, it takes a deceptive amount of pressure, so might be worth ruling that one out.
Well I just inserted a microsd card in the sd card adapter and stuck it into the Graybean hub and it automatically recognize the card, opened up the file manager. I selected the Weird Al yankovic video I had on the card and it played without fail and without studder.
I then attached the Logitech Wireless Touchpad dongle to the Graybean and it immediately recognize the touchpad mouse.
I then inserted another sdcard reader and another microsd card and both show up in the file manager.

I think that the cause is lack of voltage. With a pen or sd card with adapter, works without problems. Even my camera gives to connect. Always with the OTG cable, of course!

That's a shame. Might need to pick myself up a cheap laptop (maybe one of these lenovo flexs') or a wireless hard drive, now in theory the wireless hard drives are powered so, if it is a voltage problem it might work without activating the wireless function.

It's quite possible that I'm just being ignorant, but what is the version of USB coming with the OP2? (v2, v3, v3.1) it's slightly more important in that v2 transfers data at up to 480 Mbps, v3 transfers data at up to 5 Gbps, but v3.1 transfers at up to 10 Gbps. That much variation in data transfer bandwidth is substantial. Just curious as to what we're going to get.

Android authority article (Titled: the-oneplus-two-does-not-support-quick-charging-or-wireless-charging-of-any-kind) seems to be the only place that thinks it's v2. But i can't find anything to corroborate that. Does anyone have a more direct source (ie: OP2 AMAA forum, OP blog, etc) that I'm not finding?

it only works for a micro usb to usb c cables doesn't work on otg cards with micro sd port
All I'm wanting is a USB C connector to phone with USB A female I think it is so I can connect a micro USB cable to the end. So as long as that can be done great. Xxxxx

It works fine for otg. I have a regular usb thumb drive and a thumb drive micro sd card reader. Both are read and written to by my phone just fine with the adapter I posted.
I bought this one - and it works fine.

Will do. It arrived on Friday. Havent had the chance to use it yet have to root my phone to use my work app with my phone which I connect to panels using an OTG cable.
And also decide whether it's worth spending the money to S-Off as well.

This one works fine.
Got this one from Amazon and have had no issues with it. I've used it with a 128gb usb 3.0 Flash drive formated exfat as well as my 4tb WD my book formated ntfs. I wish the transfer speeds were 3.0 though I don't see any speed difference between this and my old OTG on my S7E. Also you cannot toggle on the use 3.1 speeds for file transfers under phone settings with OTG connection only with PC.
AVLT-Power USB Type C 3.1 to USB 3.0 OTG Aluminum Adapter Cable for Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, LG G5, HTC 10, MacBook, ChromeBook Pixel (Gray) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016PZ4U4U/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_IDWBxb7ATTDVZ
Tested the otg cable I bought. I use it at work connecting to an alarm system. Only thing is when I connect it says it will also transfer power from my phone to the device which I don't believe I want it to do. So don't really use it at the moment.

im using this one now and it works perfectly and its build quality is fantastic
Hi all, I'm looking for an OTG adapter for my htc 10, until now i'm using the adapter in attachements photos with my htc one S and with my Z3 Tablet compact, so I bought a standard microUSB to type C adapter by Aukey, but unfortunately it's not compatible with OTG function. I would like to continue using my current OTG, because it's very compact and I can keep it permanently in my micro drive stick, have you any suggestion regarding a microUSB to type C adapter that support OTG?
This one is a 4-port USB-C OTG hub. Works beautifully with my HTC 10 and Pixel C. http://amzn.to/2cHaXoc
